The altecation with Macarthur? Embarrasing. The guy is ruining his own legacy.

Col City fan and his negative brigade of sheep are really starting to grate.

Yes, we're going down, but NP is the man to stay in charge. And I hope he and the people in charge of transfers have learnt from mistakes bringing the wrong players n.

Be proud and appreciate the team are giving 100% despite lacking quality, we are still trying to pass it and playing the right way. I'm so proud of how our team have got balls and never give up despite constant setbacks and appreciating that makes you a true fan. Not constant criticism.

Why?

So we can romp the championship again only to be relegated from the Prem the season after? Pearson hasn't learnt from his early season mistakes, so He probably won't learn from them whilst romping the championship again...if we romp the championship again, which I doubt.

On the upside, at least he'll get another ban for that bizzare assault on their player, especially as the fourth official had to break it up. Unprofessional idiot.

We're three points off of safety, not ten.

Where's our next 3 points coming from then? I can't see us getting anything from arsenal, city or Chelsea! The way we're playing and not taking chances we'll come away with nothing from Everton too so that's 4 games which gives other teams the chance to pick up points.

We can't all keep saying 'its only 3/4 points' Etc the games are slowly running out. Pearson has said himself that playing the top 4 are 'bonus' games.

I don't think people still realise how hard it is to get out the championship , pearson should of gone ages ago now we need a change to shake things up and a manager that doesn't leave key players on the bench

Posted

We need a change, just look at Palace's transformation - it's not a personal thing our results against those clubs we all regard as our peers have been so below what we are capable of. He needs to get that call tonight to not bother turning up again. Let's move on. Always be fondly remembered - RIP Pearson.

We wont get promoted next year. Players will leave and confidence will have completely gone.

I hope all the fools who have stayed loyal to the idiot are happy.

I don't know where they are coming from. I go home and away, I know how bad we are. I'm just making a point. It's not over.

That was the last straw. Inexcusable team selection.

Please sack him.

Totally inexcusable. We've seen that Konchesky isn't good enough long since, there's no need to go back and check you were right. And either he's wasted 9m or he's made a dreadful decision - again - in his team selection in another crucial game with Kramaric. It's one or the other. As for Nugent, there's a question mark there because he's been semi-respectable in an awful side, but if you need to take two thirds of a season to find out what plenty of sides have found out before you (namely, that he's not good enough), then you shouldn't be managing at this level.

Up until today was keeping the faith with Pearson but that's it now. Fed up of not starting his best 11. The passing from Schlupp and one two others was woeful. Embarrassing at prem level anyway. I would love to see knocky and albrighton starting. Our defence is piss poor. We should of gone for a better left back and central defender a lot earlier in the season. If Pearson is to go now it's gonna be hard for whoever comes in given the next few games coming up but I would like to see a different approach to what's been happening. We are still bottom but I still believe there is a glimmer of hope. We are not 10 points off of safety yet ....

Once they step onto the pitch, the manager loses a lot of control -re this isn't FIFA: Pearson can't make Ulloa not run away from the balls forward, he can't make Nugent not panic in front of goal. The set-up worked quite well, the amount of good chances we had was testament to that - the problem was players making stupid decisions, and it's a different player every week, not as if we can even identify a weak link and remove them, because the weak and strong links change game to game.r

well pardew isnt doing a bad job with the same squad 5 wins from 6, so i'm not sure why people blame the players

As I've asked who are we dropping for Kramaric, people are  being awfully quiet.

Behave.

In fact, don't bother. Just log out and don't come back.

We totally outplayed them in the first half. How you can say he got the starting 11 is just ****ing barmy.

For me today, more than ever, felt like we were looking at a manager who is not good enough at this level and is not learning fast enough to ever be good enough at this level.

He doesn't seem to have a clue as to what defines an effective and ineffective player. It's like a nightmare where we got promoted and suddenly Peter Taylor was manager all over again. But a Peter Taylor who has no idea what the expectations are of a top flight manager in terms of his demeanour and dignity.

I made a mistake in backing him and singing his name throughout November, December, January. He should have gone. Whether you like the people who said that or not, it should be clear to all but the most intransigent of individuals that they were right.

And I must admit, the deranged, emotional defences of his decision-making of his most staunch defenders have done a lot to make me believe he's not the man. I'd been Pearson In for a long time, but faintly aware that most other people who were agreeing with me were spouting utter nonsense. Now it's clear not so much that he should go (that's a given), but that he should have gone months ago.

I see a man who is doing all he can with a squad woefully ill-suited to the Premier League. I actually think in other shades rather than black and white. Your short termism and blame culture is what is wrong with the country.

What is baffling, is that we all knew that most of our backline would not make the step up. It was fvcking obvious that our defence wasn't good enough. We see them on a weekly basis and Pearson sees them everyday, which is even more worrying.

They're quiet because the question doesn't make sense. We dropped Kramaric for Nugent. A 9m new signing for a guy who had played over a hundred games at this level and been deemed not good enough by a whole host of successful top flight managers.

Who SHOULD we drop for him? Nugent would be my pick, but some would argue Ulloa. Either way it doesn't distract from an undeniable truth that we either misspent a huge amount of money or made a miserable team selection error. How anyone can deny that is beyond me.

I find the opinion he should be taking Nugents position as somewhat odd, he's a goalscorer. Not someone we wont pissing around playing deep.

Ulloa I'd say.

Nugent with through balls to a guy who can score.

Also, it would mean Kram doesnt have to drop back too much.

No, just no. This side is worth more than 17 points from, what, 23 or 24 games. I mean, if QPR and Burnley really were so much worse than us (something we gave Pearson lots and lots of credit for last year) then how come they're above us?

These days more sides stay up in their first season than go down. Only a third go down in fact. He's spent nearly all of his money on players who he repeatedly leaves on the bench. Our main weaknesses last season remain our main weaknesses this season. Just accept that he's doing a bloody awful job and doesn't appear to be anywhere near good enough at this level. Or, if you prefer, get relegated singing his name, then crying into your beer afterwards.

Good point....

oh no wait a minute we would potentially miss his 2 goal tally for the season
