Why no Pearson interview on radio Leicester

I've always been interested in what ex plAyers earn when they commentate on games on the radio.

Is it substantial amount Geoff?

No. They never used to be paid back in the 90s. I suspect most summarisers across local radio get £50-100 ... although some only do it for expenses. It varies from station to station.

Not good enough he needs to man up this is pure arrogance. He needs to explain what he is going to do to sort this out, loyal supporters deserve nothing less

They have my full backing not talking to that complete idiot. Hopefully it leads to his dismissal before it leads to Pearson's.

What???? Geoff is one of our most respected "celebrity" fans.

I'm lost as well.

Is he one of those people that just phone up Radio Leicester every week that would explain it as I hardly ever listen.

Like Coalville Dave? He was a moron.

I might cheekily write in to RL and apply for the job. There is quite a tough knack to commentating if you've ever tried it whilst a games in progress on TV lol But it'd be any City fans dream job

Never mind IS and JB, Matt Elliot might be a leicester legend but his monotonous sit on the fence comments make me wish that youngy was back. Don't understand why Radio Leicester got rid of him, he's by far a more interesting co commentator than Matt Elliot.

Maybe Geoff knows the reason why?

Just an observation for all you 'luvies'. Is Pearson better at his job than Stringer is at his?

There's a lovely debate for all you guys, sorry, girls, sorry, both.

"Luvies".  lol

I know but it is not really my place or fair to say why they got rid.

A caller just asked on RL why they've been banned from interviews again , stringer although I don't like the guy , says nigel hasn't give him a reason and the door is still open , caller says we all want answers to questions ie like the weekends team selection ?

Don't think I would want to talk to Stringer as he try's to cause problems with Leicester and the FA. When Wasalski bump into opisation player, he said the FA should look at the challenge, not what you want to hear from Leicester based commintator. He also said regarding the Geoff Schlupp not going to Africa Cup of Nations that Ghiana would need to look at that as it sounds dodgy. No wonder Pearson won't speak to him

No wonder he does not talk to him he is full of lies he said this below and nothing was actually said on the forum about it!!

Andrej Kramaric makes his debut for Leicester City against Stoke

Leicester City manager Nigel Pearson wants more new faces to bolster his squad.

Pearson said City remain active in the January transfer market as they look to bring in the players he hopes will make the difference.

Last week, City finally completed the signing of Croatia striker Andrej Kramaric who made his debut as a substitute against Stoke on Saturday.

However, talks with Wigan’s Shaun Maloney broke down over personal terms after City had agreed a fee of about £750,000 for the Scotland midfielder.

More details about the Kramaric deal have emerged and, despite being widely reported as a new club record transfer, the deal that brought the 23-year-old to City from HNK Rijeka does not eclipse the record £8million signing of Leonardo Ulloa in the summer.

While it is believed the Kramaric deal could eventually be worth over £9m with add-ons, Ulloa’s fee will also rise at a similar rate with extras.

Pearson revealed City chose not to follow-up their interest in striker Jermain Defoe, who joined Sunderland last week. Defoe’s personal demands were considered too expensive.

City continue to be linked with Mainz striker Shinji Okazaki, Tottenham defender Kyle Naughton and Anderlecht striker Aleksandar Mitrovic.

The club are understood to have had a £10m offer for Okazaki rejected but Mainz sporting director Christian Heidel told German newspaper Bild they would consider a higher offer.

“Should they all of a sudden offer 15 or 20 million euros, we’d need to reconsider,” he is quoted as saying.

However, Pearson said no deals were imminent in a notoriously difficult transfer window.

“We continue to be on the look-out but whether we achieve or don’t remains to be seen,” he said.

“It’s a difficult transfer window to operate in but clearly it’s an opportunity for us in the situation we are in to try to make that difference.

“We may have been heavily linked (with Defoe) but it never really got off the ground. It’s not really one to comment on, as he made his decision. We try to concentrate as much as we can on targets which are achievable.

“We will continue to do exactly the same thing, as quietly as we can, in terms of doing the deals and protecting everyone’s interest.

“If they are doable they are doable, if not, we move on. That is how we have always operated.

“There is no reason to change that now by expressing we have been looking for high-profile players. We may have been in other windows.

“If you don’t get them I don’t see any value in talking about players you don’t achieve.”

I think he doesn't like the fact that for instance stringer would ask about his poor team selection on Saturday so he goes for the cowards way out , half of leicestershire can't work the guy out or his methods !

Have you just called Nigel Pearson a coward?

Or perhaps he just doesn't like dealing with a repetitive, persistent, unprofessional drongo?!

Stringer doesn't really help himself.
