NAAARR, let's keep Nigey Baby because he is not be much good at keeping teams in the Prem, but he can get teams promoted and we all love him ooochy cooochy cooo!

shailen Posted 22 December 2014 Posted 22 December 2014 No doubt Pulis is a good manager, but who is to say he can come in straight away and make a difference. He did amazing things at Palace, but that really was an anomolous event imo. Ive seen from our recent history that giving a manager time and stability leads to more success than chopping and changing. Give Pearson the whole season at least, he deserves that much.

I'd be confident to say he'd be a failure here, and would set us back a few years. People want him because he's never been relegated from the prem? A) the laws of probability mean he's got to fail eventually, B) Nigel has never been relegated, full stop, pulling out some serious miracles (Carlisle, Ass. Man. at West Brom when they survived from bottom at christmas, Southampton the season we went down to league one). So, surely if Pulis is a miracle worker, then so is Nigel, so there's no point getting rid of him for Pulis. Or are we only selecting the history that suits?

Why would he want to risk his reputation just to prove it over again? If he doesn't keep us up then he's then a Championship manager. Why would he want that? No. Pulis will be looking for a Prem job but one with a more realistic chance of staying up this season. He will think he’s earnt that. Only a desperate manager would consider the City job should it become vacant.

UnfortuNately non of us know the future, I would like to give another man a chance I think you are right, but then wait a minute Nigey should get another chance, he did get us promoted and even though he is only on a million quid a year he obviously deserves another chance because he got us promoted and anyway anyone who is really crap at their job still deserves a chance even if they are getting paid a million quid a year, because it may not be Nigey's fault, it might be everybody else's fault, it's not his fault that theowners gave him the job, after all, or that they didn't give him £200 million to spend on players in the summer FFS, anyway, anyway everyone else would probably be worser than what Nigey is anyway, anyway, anyway...............................................!!!

He established stoke as a midtable club, fair enough, and he did rescue palace, but he spent massive to get Stoke that way - with the money they spent, they should have been staying up - which leads us to Palace, a great success, sure, but it's one season. Discount the west brom season if you want, we've still got coming into southampton with them adrift in the relegation zone and dragged them to safety, and pulling out one of the best escapes in history with Carlisle. People want to bill Pulis as a miracle worker based on one season, Nigel has shown himself capable of rescuing teams with limited time more than Pulis has.
