LCFCSOULBOY Posted 28 December 2014 Posted 28 December 2014 As the shooting coach is he accomplishing anything. I honestly don't think so. Nearly all the shots on goal have not been on goal. That is a real problem. Wayward shooting is keeping us out of games. Mistakes are our most common problem but terrible shooting is a close behind. To be honest some of the shots coming out of midfield has been atrocious. Yes great strike from Mahrez.today But the shots from most of the previous games is shocking. I think the players need to learn how to breath and compose themselves just before shooting. Some of the howlers from Schlupp, Nugent, Drinkwater, James etc.have cost us dearly. Two sitters by James come into mind a month or so ago. Could have gotten us something out of that game. In the new year I think the owners should ask for questions regarding the shooting and drefensive coaching. Is this just looking for a new scapegoat? Please chime in and Happy New Year to you all.
TheMightySystem Posted 28 December 2014 Posted 28 December 2014 I think it is more to do with the fact that the team is/was low on confidence so they snatch at chances and end up going wide of the mark. We saw how accurate our players can be when confident look at the first 5 games where bar the Shlupp miss or Nugents miss at Chelsea i cant think of many other great opportunities we didn't capitalise on. Now that we have broken the loosing streak hopefully confidence will be higher and in my opinion that will mean the players wont panic when through on goal and put them in the back of the net more often. Thoughts or am i wide of the mark myself and Phillips himself is prehaps ineffective?
Xen Posted 28 December 2014 Posted 28 December 2014 Nearly all the shots on goal have not been on goal. ... Huh?

SystonFox Posted 28 December 2014 Posted 28 December 2014 Stopped reading at shooting coach. Genuinely
VLC86 Posted 28 December 2014 Posted 28 December 2014 NO, I HEARD HE HATES US AND WANTS US TO FAIL. In all seriousness, I think the players would benefit from a breathing coach as well. Are you a breathing coach? Just chiming in now bud thanks.
Unabomber Posted 28 December 2014 Posted 28 December 2014 Stopped reading at shooting coach. Genuinely I stopped reading at "happy new year to you all" but to be fair I also started at that point.
VLC86 Posted 28 December 2014 Posted 28 December 2014 Bernie on Foxestalk? Bernie with a Chinese accent.
johnny the fox Posted 28 December 2014 Posted 28 December 2014 As the new year dawns.. we have our 2015 scapegoat...
SystonFox Posted 28 December 2014 Posted 28 December 2014 I stopped reading at "happy new year to you all" but to be fair I also started at that point. ARE YOU DOING YOUR JOB PROPERLY BY STOPPING READING AT THAT POINT?
Clever Fox Posted 28 December 2014 Posted 28 December 2014 Sadly too many of our players are poor kickers of the ball. The best place to learn how to kick a ball is in a Box or against a Wall. The Ball comes back at you so quickly that you quickly learn how to deal with it. Then going on to putting targets on the wall for accuracy shooting , Chipping etc. Then changing over to the weaker foot and so on. I'd make the players particularly the forwards do 30 minutes a day in the box.
VLC86 Posted 28 December 2014 Posted 28 December 2014 Maybe we need a coach coach? Who would coach them though? Opening up a whole can of worms here.
VLC86 Posted 28 December 2014 Posted 28 December 2014 Sadly too many of our players are poor kickers of the ball.Congrats on the stupidest opening sentence to a post on here that I have ever read. Genius mate.It gets better though during your post. Peter, you sent us down and signed Akinbiyi as well as had sexual relations with another player. Let it go, we don't want you around.

Corky Posted 28 December 2014 Posted 28 December 2014 If we sign Sylef Gudjursson in January, Super Kev will get the best out of him.
Unabomber Posted 28 December 2014 Posted 28 December 2014 You mean we are not booting balls against walls?! No wonder we are ****ing bottom.
VLC86 Posted 28 December 2014 Posted 28 December 2014 If we sign Sylef Gudjursson in January, Super Kev will get the best out of him. But is he any good at breathing?
shade Posted 28 December 2014 Posted 28 December 2014 hasn't kevin got a beanie wot has the same logo as the shirt on it, that might help.
Bayfox Posted 28 December 2014 Posted 28 December 2014 shooting coach. you for real? striker coach. means more than shooting. movement, timing finishing etc.
sdb Posted 28 December 2014 Posted 28 December 2014 I'm more concerned about our defensive coach (if we have one). That's where our problems lie.
