I’m sure I saw @Stadt at Luton airport today. If not it must have been his doppelgänger

Ah so it was you lol, we think we’ve both seen each other but we’re not quite sure once every three years I’m sure of it

Yeah the Kappa track jacket felt very on brand so I was sure it was you, I look forward to our next uncertain meeting in a couple of years

Lyon is absolutely delightful.

Was luckily enough to stay there for a week during France 98, must have only been 14 or so but I loved it.

Not a holiday but going to the Paris airshow for a cpl of days in June, unlikely to see any of Paris unfortunately as it’s somewhere I’ve never been.

That would be amazing, we are getting my brother a taxy ride in a lancaster bomber for his 60th at the Lincolnshire aviation centre. Would blow his mind to actually fly in one!

Unintentionally had a week in Lyon a few years ago, lovely city but the worst food I've ever eaten in France.

The worst?! Where did you go?

I only found out the day we got there that it's the gastronomy capital of France.

We did a food tour first day we got there and went to some fantastic eateries and food & wine bars.

The city itself has a lot to offer. Old Town is superb.

I've no idea now, it was a few years ago. It certainly wasn't winning any awards for food back then. And I'm certainly not a fussy eater.

You're not sure how old you were in summer 98?

I'd go back if you can, no idea how much it might have changed lol

We went to the rugby there as well. Lyon vs Perpignan. Cracking game. Lyon came back to win 41-31. Atmosphere was quality. Probably helped with how entertaining the game was.

Would have loved to have stayed for the football, Lyon vs Montpellier. Lyon winning 5-4 after being 4-1 down.

That’s an excellent point, I’m going to have to style it out now and pretend I was 14 now I’ve worked it out aren’t I? I wasn’t lol

Just back from Catvat in Croatia. What a beautiful place! Weather was just turning for the worst which is always nice lol

Dubrovnik was also stunning although very touristy around the old town.

Booked an actual foreign holiday for the first time since covid. Doing Porto in Portugal for 4 days next month.

Advice and recommendations please.

Eat a Francesinha sandwich with a nice beer.
