purpleronnie Posted 4 January 2015 Posted 4 January 2015 Quote me next time please. How often do you hear of these type of things? The other week I was in town. Asian girl drops her brand new iPhone 6 doesn't even realise I pick it up run after her tap her on her shoulder and say excuse you've just dropped your phone, I get the dirtiest luck ever and 'oh thanks'. The other hand, someone picks it up takes it.. girl no longer has a phone. There is more wrong done than right. Why on earth would you hear these types of things? People do millions of good deeds everyday its not necessarily newsworthy, more wrong done than right? That assumption is based on what? Maybe you suffer from negative bias.

Plenty of times I've stopped someone after dropping money or something or someone's stopped me. My over half as left her purse or handbags in McDonald's, shop fitting rooms, pubs and restaurants in the past and has got them back without anything missing. I find that the majority of people are honest decent people.
StanSP Posted 4 January 2015 Posted 4 January 2015 As an Asian lad I can tell you what you did wrong. Asian girls are brought up with a princess syndrome you see. It comes from Bollywood movies etc. What you should have done was respectfully call her madam to get her valuable attention, kneel on your knees and hand her the device while saying her phone somehow dropped out of her purse. By tapping her shoulder and telling her she dropped her phone, you're making her look more like a buffoon than a princess. They say you reap what you sow and you really had that coming. Let me know about your future interactions with Asian women and I'm happy to help pal wtf is this . This isn't stereotypical at all...
Arkie Bennett Posted 4 January 2015 Posted 4 January 2015 When we play Liverpool next season, maybe LCFC could give OfficePlum some free tickets.
jonthefox Posted 4 January 2015 Posted 4 January 2015 When we play Liverpool next season, maybe LCFC could give OfficePlum some free tickets. Or maybe we could gave a foxes talk whip round to pay for tickets and travel.
Captain... Posted 4 January 2015 Posted 4 January 2015 That would have been terribly racist, if a white person had written it. What if a black person wrote it?
1993fox Posted 4 January 2015 Posted 4 January 2015 I agree give OfficePlum free tickets in 2k16 That would have been terribly racist, if a white person had written it. Why the hostility pal? I recommend you watch "compilation of dogs and cats meeting for the first time" on youtube before posting again just for calmer nerves

Why because he did the honest thing and hand it back to her instead. Sounds to me like the girl needs to learn some manners.
NeilLCFC Posted 4 January 2015 Posted 4 January 2015 Someone get the badges ready, I can see an alliance forming here.

Soar Fox Posted 4 January 2015 Posted 4 January 2015 Pretty sure he's taking the piss. Judging by most of his posts I don't think he is.
fazzyfox Posted 4 January 2015 Posted 4 January 2015 The correct way to return the phone would have been to concoct an intricate song and dance routine involving hundreds of extras that would drag on for at least twenty minutes as beautifully dressed dancers step out of doorways singing "He's returning your phone" in a bollywood style appreciated by the girl.

Ashley Posted 4 January 2015 Author Posted 4 January 2015 Why did you feel the need to add "Asian" why not just " a girl". Behave your self.
BigMicky Posted 4 January 2015 Posted 4 January 2015 Behave your self. I don't see how it is relevant to the story?
Ashley Posted 4 January 2015 Author Posted 4 January 2015 I don't see how it is relevant to the story? Just using a good deed that I done? Also it's relevant to the story and my original post. Thanks for your input though.
BigMicky Posted 4 January 2015 Posted 4 January 2015 Just using a good deed that I done? Also it's relevant to the story and my original post. Thanks for your input though. Great deed that's not in question. Worrying that you think its relevant.
Ashley Posted 4 January 2015 Author Posted 4 January 2015 Great deed that's not in question. Worrying that you think its relevant. How is it not? I was using an example of where you don't really hear of many good deeds being done? What's your problem with that?
Eddy Kellys Heroes Posted 4 January 2015 Posted 4 January 2015 Good to hear there are some decent people left, I take my hat off to you Sir/Madam.
BigMicky Posted 4 January 2015 Posted 4 January 2015 How is it not? I was using an example of where you don't really hear of many good deeds being done? What's your problem with that? But there is no need to refer to the girl as Asian. As I asked, why not refer to her as a girl? Why the need to tell us she is Asian?
Ashley Posted 4 January 2015 Author Posted 4 January 2015 But there is no need to refer to the girl as Asian. As I asked, why not refer to her as a girl? Why the need to tell us she is Asian? Does it really matter? No. I swear people like you look for arguments over silly things.
BigMicky Posted 4 January 2015 Posted 4 January 2015 Does it really matter? No. I swear people like you look for arguments over silly things. Sad thing is, it really does matter and when an adult can't see that, I despair
