Bagworthblue Posted 16 January 2015 Posted 16 January 2015 You are wrong. The club haven't formally announced his signing yet. The FA does not decide who can work in this country, they can support a case but it is not a formality. The FA is no different to any other professional organisation endorsing work permits for migrant workers. I am fully aware of that but it would appear to be moreso a rubber stamping exercise from most reports and recent history. I may well be wrong and it may be announced but I think if there were an issue we would have heard by now, Anyway que sera sera and all that. They say it takes a certain number of chances for a striker to score, Nuge and Ulloa must be getting close to their next goals :-) a few more chances for others maybe.... come on - it even came around for Konch last week to the relief of those sat in the gods who usually dive for cover when he sets up to strike! If it takes a bit longer we just have to deal with it!
Itsthejoeker Posted 16 January 2015 Posted 16 January 2015 The club don't have to announce it, they just have to have him registered.
Unabomber Posted 16 January 2015 Posted 16 January 2015 No one will know then he will be on the bench I think, n everyone will say to themselves "oh bloodyhell textbook Nigel"
les-tah Posted 16 January 2015 Posted 16 January 2015 i agree, i dont think this gets announced we love an under the radar move it we can. stoke will be un prepared.
Babylon Posted 16 January 2015 Posted 16 January 2015 The FA does not decide who can work in this country, they can support a case but it is not a formality. The FA is no different to any other professional organisation endorsing work permits for migrant workers. That's very different to the reading I've done on it. Once the initial permit is refused the appeal panel at the FA hears the case and judges said player on the basis of agreed criteria already agreed between the FA and the borders agency. The FA don't give out the permits, but If the FA give the thumbs up that he meets the appeal criteria then the work permit should be a formality so long as the player hasn't got any skeletons in his closet. He still needs to go through the usual process though and it can take up to 10 days for an application to be processed.
Silverdaz Posted 16 January 2015 Posted 16 January 2015 If it doesnt happen today at least he will have a full week to train with tthe other lads
Ric Flair Posted 16 January 2015 Posted 16 January 2015 If it doesnt happen today at least he will have a full week to train with tthe other lads Not good enough, we need him tomorrow. He's had a week training with us and a further week ' getting to know the lads '
VLC86 Posted 16 January 2015 Posted 16 January 2015 Of course we have, we're not Burnley. Burnley use carrier pigeons. In fact, I heard that the deal for George Boyd was £300k however the crafty bird took a dump on the contract and it looked like an extra 0. Dyche nearly coughed up a bollock hence his annoying tone.
dpjfox Posted 16 January 2015 Posted 16 January 2015 i think registration has to be done by midday the day before the game, as the club recieved permission for him to fully train with the squad im sure he will play a part tomorrow if the paperwork gets sorted
Silverdaz Posted 16 January 2015 Posted 16 January 2015 Not good enough, we need him tomorrow. He's had a week training with us and a further week ' getting to know the lads ' well if it gets signed in time I think he will only be involved as a sun anyway then have a full 90 mins against spurs
Bagworthblue Posted 16 January 2015 Posted 16 January 2015 well if it gets signed in time I think he will only be involved as a sun anyway then have a full 90 mins against spurs Great if he's a 'sun' I want him to be a star
PaulW Posted 16 January 2015 Posted 16 January 2015 Starting his Premier League career against a physical team like Stoke might be a bit of a culture shock.......maybe waiting to debut against Spurs might not be such a bad thing!
talking_goldfish Posted 16 January 2015 Posted 16 January 2015 Starting his Premier League career against a physical team like Stoke might be a bit of a culture shock.......maybe waiting to debut against Spurs might not be such a bad thing! Well if he can score on a cold afternoon against Stoke...
johnny the fox Posted 16 January 2015 Posted 16 January 2015 The poor bloke has so much weight on his shoulders from the fans already and he hasn't even completed the signing yet! if he don't bag a hat trick on debut he must be classed as a major flop...
Silverdaz Posted 16 January 2015 Posted 16 January 2015 Great if he's a 'sun' I want him to be a star Ooops fupar alert I meant sub
bovril Posted 16 January 2015 Posted 16 January 2015 Starting his Premier League career against a physical team like Stoke might be a bit of a culture shock.......maybe waiting to debut against Spurs might not be such a bad thing! I imagine the Croatian league is more physical.
Danizen Posted 16 January 2015 Posted 16 January 2015 I imagine the Croatian league is more physical.Judging by the defending for the goals in his YouTube videos, I'd say contact was banned in Croatian football.
the_smith Posted 16 January 2015 Posted 16 January 2015 He's not going to play tomorrow, accept it Don't be like that....
Vlad the Fox Posted 16 January 2015 Posted 16 January 2015 Movement and losing your marker like he does is a skill in its own right, Lineker was a master at it.
thybluefox Posted 16 January 2015 Posted 16 January 2015 The waiting is torture. Just put us our of our misery either way please.
Unabomber Posted 16 January 2015 Posted 16 January 2015 The waiting is torture. Just put us our of our misery either way please. This. I would honestly rather be waterboarded.

dbtcity Posted 16 January 2015 Posted 16 January 2015 The poor bloke has so much weight on his shoulders from the fans already and he hasn't even completed the signing yet! Agreed if he doesn't bag in his first couple of games he will get hammered on here gaurentee he will get slaughtered on here
