fuchsntf Posted 13 January 2015 Posted 13 January 2015 The clubs can fine the players for getting involved. The FA has to take a stand. If city want to contest it send in their lawyers. What happened was wrong, from tackle to benches, to tunnel, mitigating or not.
Suffolk exile Posted 13 January 2015 Posted 13 January 2015 I knew they'd do this Me too! Typical. As others have said Clark caused much of this.
StanSP Posted 13 January 2015 Posted 13 January 2015 I know Clark is a massive bell but perhaps the 'failure to control players' relates to on-field, too? I see a lot of people complaining about if Clark didn't run up to James then the fracas off the pitch wouldn't have escalated to what it did. But both teams 'failed to control players' on the field so not sure why there's such a huge fuss. My biggest gripe is that both teams have been charged yet the FA seem to ignore bad performances by their own. There has actually been no comment after so much criticism from fans and media.
foxinsocks Posted 13 January 2015 Posted 13 January 2015 Two points: 1. I agree that there will be no attempt to apportion blame - if a villa bloke has lost it and is kicking off... then the FA have to expect that the leicester guys are going to defend their colleague... I would fine them if they didn't. 2. Some years ago adebyor moved to man city and then scored against the Arse - and ran to celebrate in front of the Arse supporters... that is called drama! - yet the FA fined him. Similarly I member as a choir boy arguing with the vicar that a 0-0 game on MOTD was better of it had a sending off... the FA needs to know that we fans expect a robust attitude from passionate players and that's why football matters - they are in the entertainment business! IF it didn't matter then no one would bother coming
ian_marshall Posted 13 January 2015 Posted 13 January 2015 I love that picture on the BBC website. Was' laser focus on Clark, Morgan looking a little worried about what Was is going to do next, Vardy thinking Morgan's going to need help in restraining Was, Knocky trying to piggyback Westwood, Nuge smirking at Westwood's poor attempt to get involved and look hard, Kingy rugby tackling James, and Simpson looking like the soft lad in the playground who wants to look like they're not wimping out but is trying to weigh up which fight to pick to avoid getting hurt.

But on the pitch Clark sparked it by manhandling James after twatting him in the back of the head. Villa were the aggressors in both - We shouldn't be punished for James trying to protect himself from that thug.
StanSP Posted 13 January 2015 Posted 13 January 2015 Meh. I think we all knew the charge was coming. There was a brawl between virtually all players (personally I loved it). I'm sure Villa fans will say that James' tackle caused Clark to react like he did and then it all boiled over.
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 13 January 2015 Posted 13 January 2015 Should ****ing fine Clark for that gash effort at facial hair that makes him look like a kid that wears McKezie and hangs around Wilkos
MHC Posted 13 January 2015 Posted 13 January 2015 Who cares. Fine us your ten grand or whatever pittance it may be and move on.
CosbehFox Posted 13 January 2015 Posted 13 January 2015 Didn't one of the Villa benchwarmers literally leap up of the bench and get in Matty James' face laughing and give it the biggun' which was what made it KO on the touchline though? Yes which was all rather odd considering Villa were 1 down and some ****ing no mark sub right back decides to give it the big in.
fazzyfox Posted 13 January 2015 Posted 13 January 2015 A £10,000 fine for us, Villa fined £25,000 and docked 3 points and Clarke issued with an order to shave.
