HitchinFox Posted 13 January 2015 Posted 13 January 2015 Leicester and Aston Villa have been charged by the Football Association over the conduct of their players. The charge relates to an incident during Leicester's 1-0 win over Villa last Saturday, and clubs have until 18:00 GMT on 16 January to respond Leicester's Matty James and Villa's Ciaran Clark were sent off in the game. An FA statement said the clubs "failed to ensure their players conducted themselves in an orderly fashion and/or refrained from provocative behaviour". http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/30781463
theessexfox Posted 13 January 2015 Posted 13 January 2015 I'm sure the fine will hit both clubs very hard.
purpleronnie Posted 13 January 2015 Posted 13 January 2015 Dear FA, We're not a bunch of pussies and football is a game played with passion. Sometimes shit happens. Your's sincerely, Football.
AKCJ Posted 13 January 2015 Posted 13 January 2015 All Clarke's fault. Exactly. If he doesn't come steaming in like a complete pillock then nothing happens.
smudgerfox Posted 13 January 2015 Posted 13 January 2015 Villa's third charge of failing to control their players since November - once after Benteke sending off v Sperz and again after Agbonlahor sending off v United (later rescinded) - they deserve all they get as the confrontation was entirely of their making..... http://www1.skysports.com/football/news/11095/9560692/premier-league-aston-villa-and-tottenham-fined-16320000-by-fa-for-failing-to-control-their-players http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2891653/Aston-Villa-fined-30-000-failing-control-players-following-Gabriel-Agbonlahor-s-red-card-against-Man-United.html
Stadt Posted 13 January 2015 Posted 13 January 2015 So it's our fault that Clarke runs after James and starts another fracas
Kitchandro Posted 13 January 2015 Posted 13 January 2015 An FA statement said the clubs "failed to ensure their players conducted themselves in an orderly fashion and/or refrained from provocative behaviour". Er, actually that was just the Villa players. AGAIN.
justfoxes Posted 13 January 2015 Posted 13 January 2015 We will get fined all because the Vile players and staff caused such a commotion Matty james reacted to being physically assaulted by Clark as if he's gonna stand by and get bashed by clarks handbag !! MATTY James was then pulled towards the Vile bench by one of their players and a few punches were thrown in his direction ! Yes we should get a fine for trying to protect our player from being assaulted ! But the Vile need further sanctions as their behaviour on and off the pitch in the last few months leave a lot to be desired !
RowlattsFox Posted 13 January 2015 Posted 13 January 2015 Such as ridiculous fine, if it was a full blown fight then fair enough but a bit of argy bargy?
Kitchandro Posted 13 January 2015 Posted 13 January 2015 Such as ridiculous fine, if it was a full blown fight then fair enough but a bit of argy bargy? Football really needs to stamp out players making eye contact IMO
Saxondale Posted 13 January 2015 Posted 13 January 2015 I hope they study the video evidence properly and give out any discipline appropriately. But they won't. Probably just blanket fine us both. Clark needs a ten match ban for his behaviour.
Rocket-Ron Posted 13 January 2015 Posted 13 January 2015 The sweet FA are skint paying for Wembley. They'll fine any one and anything. Yes I am expecting contact from them for posting this.
harpendenfox Posted 13 January 2015 Posted 13 January 2015 I thought it was all rather entertaining. I love a good fracas. There aren't enough of them in football these days
ScouseFox Posted 13 January 2015 Posted 13 January 2015 oh well. tbf our whole bench did end up down the tunnel at one stage.
Matt Posted 13 January 2015 Posted 13 January 2015 Can't say i'm surprised, as soon as it happened I said I expect a FA Charge. That said I don't think it's right.
Matt Posted 13 January 2015 Posted 13 January 2015 oh well. tbf our whole bench did end up down the tunnel at one stage. Didn't one of the Villa benchwarmers literally leap up of the bench and get in Matty James' face laughing and give it the biggun' which was what made it KO on the touchline though?
Kitchandro Posted 13 January 2015 Posted 13 January 2015 Didn't one of the Villa benchwarmers literally leap up of the bench and get in Matty James' face laughing and give it the biggun' which was what made it KO on the touchline though? Yeh and that's the only thing that happened. Matty eyed him up, was dragged away, and Dave Rennie told the little Villa shit to fvck off. So we're being punished for their players trying to a) cause and scuffle and then b) goad our player.
AKCJ Posted 13 January 2015 Posted 13 January 2015 It made me laugh when I saw it reported as a "mass brawl"
TheUltimateWinner Posted 13 January 2015 Posted 13 January 2015 It's like at school when a bully causes a fight with a kid and then they both end up getting suspended for a week.
ealingfox Posted 13 January 2015 Posted 13 January 2015 Can't believe I actually used to feel sorry for Villa, for being absolute dog muck under Shambert. I remember when they got turned over over two legs by Bradford and while listening to Lambert afterwards I was so busy feeling sorry for them I forgot to laugh at them or be jealous of or happy for Bradford. At that time you could say Lambert was doing ok in keeping a team full of kids up and that progress in following years would justify it. They've not gotten any better. Been a very, very depressing Club for years now, stagnant, boring, meaningless and shite. Now we know they're absolute cvnts to boot they can suck it. Very small-time, petty Club, and it's time they went down. Much like Newcastle it could do them better in the long run.
