kingfox Posted 31 January 2015 Posted 31 January 2015 Don't care if he was player of the season last season, the guy isn't Premier League standard. Let's play run by him, constantly weak, looking like the Drinkwater of old unfortunately.
Riot Van Posted 31 January 2015 Posted 31 January 2015 Maybe he needs to whip out the cupped ear celebration again.
lgfualol Posted 31 January 2015 Posted 31 January 2015 He's so frustrating because we know he is good when he's on form. Shame as this is probably his one shot at Premiership, unless we stay up.
Sir Shep Posted 31 January 2015 Posted 31 January 2015 He's the kind of player we will end up selling and for him to go on and play a blinder for his next club. I just don't get how he can go from hero to zero so suddenly.
Kyuubi Posted 31 January 2015 Posted 31 January 2015 Id still put him in over Andy king King should not be anywhere near our first team!
I am Rod Hull Posted 31 January 2015 Posted 31 January 2015 King should not be anywhere near our first team! King was brilliant at the start of the season, the two just don't work well together
shade Posted 31 January 2015 Posted 31 January 2015 King was brilliant at the start of the season, the two just don't work well together nah hammond was, king was okay.
5waller5 Posted 31 January 2015 Posted 31 January 2015 DD hasn't made the step up and simply won't for me ..... Looks completely lost.
SecretPro Posted 31 January 2015 Posted 31 January 2015 Why does Drinky like to stop every counter attack we try to make?
ChrisWoodIsClass Posted 31 January 2015 Posted 31 January 2015 Hammond needs to play whatever happens, by far our most under rated player
Guest ttfn Posted 31 January 2015 Posted 31 January 2015 King has been far better in the PL than Drinky.
Grewks Posted 31 January 2015 Posted 31 January 2015 The things is, at this level you have 3 main types of central players. 1. Those who create 2. Those who prevent the opposition from creating 3. Those who recycle possession quickly Unfortunately, Danny doesn't have the technical ability or physicality to be any of the above. Contrast him to what southapton had during their first season in schneiderlin and lallana....a world apart.
sdb Posted 31 January 2015 Posted 31 January 2015 We're all prone to knee jerk reactions but I have to agree. Very lightweight. Would probably do better in a team that weren't afraid of trying to maintain possession. That said, he's twice the player Andy King is.
Bamba's Babes Posted 31 January 2015 Posted 31 January 2015 Possibly our most disappointing player this season.
ousefox Posted 31 January 2015 Posted 31 January 2015 Still hardly seen him with James which was why we did so well last season. James is probably our most important player. Does all the running in the midfield that the others just don't do. Should be straight back in next week.

st albans fox Posted 31 January 2015 Posted 31 January 2015 DD Is a confidence player and that's shot to pieces because he keeps being asked to play roles he doesn't want to (earlier in the season to allow EC to play centrally) and recently with king in a tactically poor arrangement. He looked much better with James a few weeks ago prior to being injured. I would bring James and Hammond back next week. We may be able to play two against palace but I think pardew will play only one up which means we will again be outnumbered in midfield.
cityfanlee23 Posted 31 January 2015 Posted 31 January 2015 None of our CM players have stepped up... Hammond has done his job and is the only central midfielder I've had any belief in so far this year... Id play Danny D over james and king though.
weller54 Posted 31 January 2015 Posted 31 January 2015 Drinkwater has been garbage all season.. He's nowhere good enough for this level!!

How many games have to played then for it not to be a knee jerk reaction? Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

I feel sorry for the lad confidence shot to bits but being consistently played in a ill fitting formation.
