Pearson and McArthur incident

If anyone looked at this incident as 'light hearted banter' then I'm confused. It didn't look light hearted to me. There was a sort of smile on Pearson's face but it looked more like a sneer perhaps?

Very strange incident. I don't think the player knew what the Hell was going on actually.

If anything, this incident makes me love him even more.

?

Can't understand that buddy.

Get the feeling a lot of people are trying to blow this up to suit their agenda.

It's unpleasant but there are individuals here acting like he attacked the guy. He didn't. He didn't throttle him. I imagine the holding onto him was to demand an apology for the something McArthur said - the trouble here is we're seeing the reaction, but not what he reacted to.

All in all, shouldn't have done it and it didn't look great but not the appalling behaviour some people are pretending it is.

This isn't even an incident worth taking note off, as said by the player himself.

Some people on this forum like to find any little thing to criticize the manager.

Not at all. We all know that pro footballers say very little. They don't usually publicly criticise other managers and players. He was probably told to play it down.

It was weird in my opinion.

Sorry but dismissing this as a nothing incident is not good enough. NP is clearly being very aggressive and reacts really badly. JM is clearly saying let me go and NP let's it go on to long. The interview is even more strange - I can take care of myself...what did he think was happening?

Oh shut up, stop trying to be offended.

Anyone who saw this live surely knows it was a nothing incident. The player himself said it was nothing, so move on.

The images are so out of context and the papers are trying to make it look bad for a story from a boring match.

Also, if Pearson did this last season, everyone would laugh it off, now we're losing his sense of humour is all of a sudden frustration. Just **** off.

It was funny.

There maybe no room for smiles in the City forum but

Is there no room for humour in football?

Seems this thread will take the course of pearson lovers and pearson haters unsurprisingly.

I'm a Pearson lover but yesterday was embarrassing for him. Bizarre behaviour

It seems pretty simple to me. It started off as a joke, McArthur misunderstood and told him to 'fvck off', Pearson lost his temper and confronted him about it.

Get over it? No one was hurt.

Anyone who could see the funny side in this is warped - Nige was well out of order and it was just as distasteful as Pardew's head butting exhibition. It looked to me that NP was mardy because he got bashed into and the way he held on to his shirt and then wagged his finger while ignoring Pardew's questions of what went on - shocker. Sort of reminds you of Brian Clough near the end of his tenure at Forest. Plot lost.

Yeah because Pardew is such an angel on the touchline.

Nothing incident from the footage I've seen.

Not sure what people are getting worked up about. You bunch of wimps.

It's not about people getting worked up, it's about Pearson doing something that was unnecessary, allowing negativity surround our club from external sources. That's it. If he did that on the training ground to one of our own players it wouldn't matter. In a premier league game he's gotta learn that this will attract negative publicity. Simple

I'm perfectly 'over it' thanks. But to brush it off as a nothing incident is ridiculous. It was weird and unnecessary and he made himself look an idiot. I backed him with the spat with the fan earlier this season but yesterday was ridiculous from him. Along with his team selection as usual

grabbing a player by the neck who's on the floor, not letting go of him.when he's trying to get back.on.the pitch and then his stupid comments on motd is nothing of note for the manager of our club..yeah ok!!"

If that was Pardew with mahrez most in here would be crying unless Pardew was sacked.

Both clearly smiling.

Let the papers and morons run with it, but as Leicester fans we definitely need to move on.

Watch the whole incident please. Smiling here yes, the aftermath no. Grabbed his shirt, angry exchange, ridiculous post match interview

Don't patronise me, of course I've seen the whole thing. I was also close to it at the match, and I maintain it's a nothing incident.

Pearson has potentially held on to the shirt for a bit too long, but both Pearson and McArthur are all smiles well after the 'strangle'.
