Guest Posted 9 February 2015 Posted 9 February 2015 James McArthur on Nigel Pearson: Crystal Palace midfielder says Leicester boss 'scared me' http://www.independent.co.uk/sport/football/premier-league/james-macarthur-on-nigel-pearson-crystal-palace-midfielder-says-leicester-boss-scared-me-10034110.html A bit of fun. "These things happen in football - I’ve collided into him and he said it was only a joke, so I’ll take it in that manner and we move on," said MacArthur. "If it’s on and off the field, it’s going to get blown out of proportion but there’s nothing in it on my part.

Well the forth official standing next to them looks to me to be telling McArthur to calm down, and if this was really as serious as everyone is making out surely that forth official would have included it the ref's match report and Pearson would be up on a FA charge.
Itsthejoeker Posted 9 February 2015 Posted 9 February 2015 Using two words completely out of context for that headline, absolutely pathetic journalism.
ADK Posted 9 February 2015 Posted 9 February 2015 Surprised Pearson isn't being charged with attempted murder
benpicko Posted 9 February 2015 Posted 9 February 2015 'Nigel Pearson seems like a proper odd bloke. Not your typical football nutcase, who would get angry with you and try to break your legs or elbow your eye socket in. Nigel Pearson seems like the sort of bloke that quietly sit and wait in a shadowy corner in the backseats of your car and then slit your throat with an overgrown finger nail whilst whispering in your ear "I can handle myself, don't you worry about that."' Some very strange opinions on reddit
Dickov22 Posted 9 February 2015 Posted 9 February 2015 Surprised Pearson isn't being charged with attempted murder Written by a bloody woman. No surprise its completely over the top
Guest Posted 9 February 2015 Posted 9 February 2015 Bollocks did he say that It's the mail. Did you expect anything else?

Some very strange opinions on reddit I imagine this is probably the first time a lot of people posting those comments in r/soccer have heard of Nigel Pearson
lgfualol Posted 9 February 2015 Posted 9 February 2015 Surprised at that Daily Mail article. No mention of immigrants ruining Britain, terrorists everywhere and a mention about the royal family doing something completely boring.
benpicko Posted 9 February 2015 Posted 9 February 2015 As if they can even imply that anything like that was said without proof and after McArthur's said it's been blown out of proportion Also as if anybody would say that rather than 'what the **** are you doing you maniac **** off'
Phube Posted 9 February 2015 Posted 9 February 2015 Wouldn't have happened if he'd stayed up in the stands...
yorkie1999 Posted 9 February 2015 Posted 9 February 2015 Get off me Nigel you're hurting my throat More like "fvck off you cvnt" at which point Pearson's tried to give him a bollocking. Pardew asks whats up and Pearson told him "nothing" so the player doesn't get a bollocking of Pardew. I think either pearson or mcarther should actually come out and say something before the press get a bit too carried away.

Guest Posted 9 February 2015 Posted 9 February 2015 They both have though, Pearson said it was nothing, as did McArthur. But that simple explanation isn't good enough for most journalists or 99% of Foxestalk
MrSpaM Posted 10 February 2015 Posted 10 February 2015 Surprised Pearson isn't being charged with attempted murder This is absolutely ridiculous!
Fox92 Posted 10 February 2015 Posted 10 February 2015 http://www1.skysports.com/football/news/11712/9708362/premier-league-leicester-boss-nigel-pearson-is-not-expected-to-face-any-charges-from-the-fa-over-his-scuffle-with-james-mcarthur Premier League: Leicester boss Nigel Pearson is not expected to face any charges from the FA over his scuffle with James McArthur
The Railway Man Posted 10 February 2015 Posted 10 February 2015 Has an incident where both people played it down as a joke ever been dragged out and built up so much as this?
ScouseFox Posted 10 February 2015 Posted 10 February 2015 "get off me get off me nigel you're hurting me" ****ing hell don't cry. "i wanted my mummy" will be the next ****ing made up quote from that lot.
goose2010 Posted 10 February 2015 Posted 10 February 2015 it is mental how the press have reported this. Pearson - Yes it was in Jest. Player - It wasn't what it looks like. Press - MANAGER TRIED TO MURDER FOOTBALLER!! Crazy really is, well I think it can be put to bed now for the FA not to charge him that could of been absolutely nothing in it, these mugs band a player for 2 matches for having a laugh on twitter so for them to do absolutely nothing here just shows nothing happened
Mike the Metal Ed Posted 10 February 2015 Posted 10 February 2015 So Pearson says it's nothing James McArthur says it's nothing The Fourth Official declined to get anyone involved The FA decline to take action. The press, eh?
