Nigel Pearson remains First Team Manager

The most expensive shite in the league you mean, as proved since they all moved on. The league also had multiple ex premier league teams with more expensive players in their squads.

A £30m loss on transfers? Really...

Well, depending on the figures you believe it's 16-18 this season. Maybe the Mills sale off-set more of that than we know, or the Knockaert / Drinkwater etc. signings account for less than we believe. But it is a vastly different scenario to the one that Adams, Levein, Kelly faced.

And 'most expensive shite in the league' maybe, but within three years of Adams leaving the club we didn't have a single signing of his, or member of his squad, left on the books. On Saturday we had two of Sven's signings in the team, a further two members of his squad either on the field or on the bench, and another who is our (injured) vice captain. It's not as if Pearson hasn't benefited at all from those signings.

Wow, two games!!! I'm completely wrong!!! I'm sorry!!!

Leicester City fans are as fickle as you lot keep saying but only because you seem incapable of remembering the 12+ games we didn't get any points just because we got a few points over the Christmas period! The difference between us, Burnley, Hull and Sunderland is the fact we lose games and they draw them so don't sit there and say "we drew against Liverpool" its ****ing bullsh*t!!!

As for Villa we beat a relegation rival at home... Well I'm glad I sent my hard earn cash to support my team that day!!!

FUNDAMENTALLY we are a better team than 20th but when we play like we did against Palace at home we don't deserve to be in any other position and where else can I point the finger?

The players? We have players on the bench that have had very good games for us but then have been dropped so why haven't others been dropped?

The board/owners? They have written off £millions of debt are 100% financially committed to the cause

The fans? I sing my lungs out each week, I pay my season ticket fees, I bought the shirts (all 3 this year) and I'm doing what I can

So who else is there....................................................................................................................................................................................................................

Sorry, are you saying we played badly against Palace?

The run before xmas was bad. But its also synonymous with teams struggling at the bottom. Not getting the rub of the green, hitting both post and bar on boxing day.

in that poor run (no in fact- all season long) I've seen us outplayed for a full 90mins by one team only- Swansea.

And you may well sing your lungs out, much like me, but the majority of L don't seem interested right now. They/we could be much better

I thought you were talking about previous seasons not this season. The team he came up with transfer wise was partially funded by quite a few sales. The net loss on players wasn't huge amount.

Konch, Nugent, Kasper... all well liked by our fans lol who else is left? It's only those three surely.

If our aim is to be an established Premier League side, then generally-speaking you want a manager who looks like he either is, or could quickly learn to be one. That's why few Championship clubs would appoint the likes of Phil Brown, Micky Adams, Billy Davies, Tony Mowbray, Aidy Boothroyd or Ian Holloway if they harboured our ambitions. Pearson will also be one to add to that list if we go down,

That doesn't mean to say he can't get it right the second time around, if the board allows or he manages to repeat an achievement which took him 3 years last time around. And it doesn't mean he hasn't been a great manager in the past (it's possible for someone to do a great job but take a club as far as he can).

However there is no evidence of him improving. Whether you measure it by signings and their usefulness to the side, improvements in individual performance, set piece training, his professional conduct or - above all - results. Now if that suddenly changes then fantastic, and it would probably we worth giving him another shot. But when somebody looks as awfully out of his depth as he does, and copes worse with promotion than clubs who were significantly below our points total last year, there are signs which indicate that he isn't the man to take us to the next level.

I honestly believe you'd have to be blinded by loyalty not to see this.

We're midtable on form this year

Anyone with a pair of eyes could see the performances Vs Spurs on Boxing Day was pretty stella, as was our performance away Liverpool when they were the luckiest team this season to get a point, and then we've beat Hull & Villa, (direct rivals) & to be honest we destroyed Palace for much of the game, 4-1 wouldn't have been harsh on them

To say there's no improvement from our 13 game run is just utter bollox!

I'd say we played badly against Palace. Look at how objective observers reported it - 'toothless', 'lacklustre', 'pathetic',were all used to describe our display. I remember people on here insisting that our performance against Liverpool deserved more, something which the manager backed up with his view, while the Spanish commentators described it as the worst Premier League display they had ever seen.

Is it that we're over-stating his case a little here? And maybe setting the bar far, far too low.

I'd simply say those observers hadn't actually been anywhere near Leicester Saturday afternoon.

I know of not one person- palace or city fan who said we weren't the better side.

Are we setting bar too low? Had we have beat them we'd have been saying how good a result it was given their first 4 results under Pardew and a narrow 1-0 away defeat to Everton.

As Nigel keeps saying, it's all about the fine margins. And too often this season we've been on the wrong side of those margins. We need to very quickly turn these tight games in to points. West Brom, Stoke and Palace have managed to rob us of points in smash and grabs - how many times have we done that this season? Not enough.

As good as we have been in games this season performances wise, we can't finish our dinner at the moment, let alone the chances that we're getting. Kramaric needs to now play in every game this season - we paid £9m for a finisher. Now he needs to very quickly get in to this league as Nugent, Vardy and recently Ulloa have shown that they aren't going to put the ball in the net enough to keep us up.

we've beaten direct relegation rivals in Hull & Villa on our way to midtable in the form charts, lost to top 4 sides in Spurs & Man Utd and got a very unlucky draw away at Liverpool (who everyone keeps saying have been back to their best) barrying some awful finishing from Cambiasso & others at Palace we'd have comfortbaly beaten them too

I'd say things have changed

But away to Arsenal (with our historical record there) and after they lost to Spurs is probably the worst game we could have had in the entire league

Sorry but that's utter nonsense, you know it and I know it if you'd watched the game. Toothless maybe as we clearly failed to convert one of a huge number of good chances. To suggest it was lacklustre, or that any part of it was pathetic other than the finishing is just not true.

90% of our play was good, but missing that one final element as we have so often.

I have searched to find something on it, but to no avail:

What did Albrighton's missus say when the news broke last night?

Posted

We smashed and grabbed at hull and Stoke

It's generally how you win away

Now tomorrow is interestingg

If the players believe they can save Nigel's skin, we could see a hell of an effort. Perhaps enough to get a point. If we look lacklustre then I think the players are telling us whats happening to the manager, irrelevant of the public message

Nugent's missus tweeted, 'I'm gutted' Albrighton's replied, 'I'm not' with lots of party popper icons etc

Most definitely. Just been saying to the boss that if these things do have a habit of evening themselves out, we're going to have a great run up into May,

We'll have to see whether Jones gives us 2 dodgy pens tomorrow to even out the clangers he gave against us at Liverpool. I for one will be screaming handball at every opportunity tomorrow.

I'll be doing so every time they kick it

No shit.  I would disappointed if they had not.

I can see it now... big fanfare as the Thailand national team manager quits his job to take up the reigns at Leicester....

I have to admit, despite me being a big supporter of NP and what he's done for us, after the initial sadness of hearing he'd got the boot I felt a sense of relief. He's probably just about taken us as far as he can and I think he knows it, that's probably why he's acting out in frustration (although I still maintain the Mcarthur 'incident' was nothing).

If we go down I still think he's the best option for us in that league but I don't think he'll get that time

Sadly missed the hilarity of eggs flying in the faces of Col, DT, Mark, Seenitall and co due to my temporary ban. But I watched and cried with laughter.

Still have no idea what's going on really, and very disappointed to see the circus that it resulted in today. It's not helped by the fact that I think the club, or at least someone high up at the club, is probably responsible. But I am delighted Nigel is still in charge for the time being, long may it continue. He's a very talented manager, who obviously isn't without his faults, but I'm confident that he'll be a very good Premier League manager before his career is out whether it's with us or someone else. We clearly need something to turn this season around and hopefully this shambles can have a positive impact.

There's no need for that Mark. I'm trying to be civil with you. You need to be careful or you'll recieve another temporary ban. Please don't put me in the same category as Seenitall and DT. My posts are not as one sided as they appear to be.

Take care.
