cc_star Posted 9 February 2015 Posted 9 February 2015 The Guardian seem utterly desperate for him to be sacked. Every other media outlet has backtracked after the club statement, accepting that they got it wrong. But the Guardian's journalists keep tweeting shit like above. As if it matters. He's still Leicester manager, you all dropped a bollock over it. Fvck the Guardian the hypocritical, tax-avoiding embarrassment
Babylon Posted 9 February 2015 Posted 9 February 2015 He was watched for two years and is only committed to the club until the end of the season should we go down. His accommodation is for 6 months-until the summer. Most players get put in temporary accomodation when they first arrive. All points to the fact he should be selected and play where he can score.ala Lineker, Cottee, Clive Alan etc as he appears on clips. For about the 1000 time, he is not that type of players. We've been told this over and over and over again by fans who have seen him play regularly. He drops deep and wide to involve himself in play, he's not a sit on the shoulder and hang around the box for 90 minutes type player. His use and treatment for someone they supposed to know so well has been poor so far and the turning point for me. His treatment? He's started two come on as sub in two games. Most players go through an integration period. He's being played in exactly the position he was signed to play, behind the main striker and to link play.
suffolk fox Posted 9 February 2015 Posted 9 February 2015 When you say fact, you mean reported in the Daily Mail. Ah back to your childish prattish one line sentence digs which most are accustomed too. Fact is it was a well known trusted source within the club most media outlets would not broadcast that if it didn't have some substance to it. Sky and worldwide media outlets are well known for making stuff up aren't they? True fact is whoever or whatever the source all this has done is destabilise my great club and make us appear a laughing stock. Fans of our relegation rivals must be loving this.

Of course they are, that's half their reason for existing and adds greatly to sales, viewers. How do you know Dorsett didn't get wrong end of the stick about a high level meeting and added 2+2 to make 5, in a rush to first.
kingcarr21 Posted 9 February 2015 Posted 9 February 2015 I just dont know what to think anymore. When my brother text me to say he had been sacked i was gutted. Its not a case of us all believing Pearson is a god or anything just the simple fact that we all want him to succeed. He has turned our club around and we now have a fantastic foundation with our youth set up one of the best in the country. Now if Pearson was to have been sacked say before the transfer window then i would have said fair enough. Hes had a crack and looks out of his depth, thank you very much for all youve done and you will be highly regarded as one of our best ever managers. Our problem now is have we gone too far into the season to take the gamble of changing manager? I do think Pearson is starting to lose his mind with not being able to find a solution, but would a new manager be any different? I would fear for us next season if we changed manager and still got relegated. Now promotion isnt a certainty but what better manager to have in charge than the one who broke records in a dominating season. When i found out he was still in charge i was happy, but then again should i be happy? I obviously want to survive and stay in the premier league but i think we all really want to achieve it with Pearson in charge. I cant see an alternative manager who i would want to replace Pearson. Some of the names are just ridiculous. No Premiership pedigree whatsoever so would most certainly not change the situation and then once relegated would most likely not be better than Pearson in the championship. So for me i would summarise with this, If a Prem quality manager was available then i would be gutted to see Pearson go but would totally understand but quite simply i cant think of anyone i want at the club that would have a great chance of survival. So for me im leaning more to the side of keeping Pearson, if we survive that would be incredible. If we get relegated yes it would be terrible but lets get prepared for a hard season in the championship and back Pearson and the team. With parachute payments and a squad that i believe wont be too dissimilar to our promotion winning team it would stand us in good stead to fight for promotion again.
foxfanazer Posted 9 February 2015 Posted 9 February 2015 Hope this can galvanise us and get the players battling even more for Nige. He's never lost the dressing room so don't see that being a problem. Looking at the list of possible candidates only reinforces my belief that Pearson is the best option for now and possibly next season if we go down. COYB!!
Guest Col city fan Posted 9 February 2015 Posted 9 February 2015 I entirely agree Col. (Trying to be as objective as I can be given my opinion) Rob Tanner's view is not too dissimilar to what the Guardian have printed - SOMETHING happened yesterday that lead Sky to report what it did, there clearly could not have been. Almost reminds me a bit of the Leeds farce re: McDermott. I think this one isn't a forgone conclusion and may be a smokescreen/vote of confidence moment. Where I will agree with the Pearson-In people (for once) is it would have been a stupid time to do it ahead of Tuesday. Wait till after then/the cup. Were people actually crying? Genuine question. If the answer is yes, then people are taking their football incredibly seriously.

In what way was that childish, you have no idea where the information came from or whether it was a mistake, a cock up or what. Clearly you are the sort of person that believes everything they read in the newspaper. Once again, you seem to be confusing fact with opinion.

Although I cannot bear witness to our entire fan base mate, the way some people hailed him as the messiah last night makes me think there could well have been tears shed.

Scotch Posted 9 February 2015 Posted 9 February 2015 I honestly don't see how this makes us a laughing stock. Sky sports got it wrong. They reported that he had been sacked, we came out and rubbished those claims. If anything,it makes Sky sports look bad,not us What DOES make us look bad is being bottom of the league, losing 9 in 12 and scoring something like 3 league goals in 8 games. Not to mention our manager getting caught up in daft altercations with fans/players and coming across as a spoilt little kid in press conferences. Nige done great getting us here but he IS NOT going to keep us up. Simple as that. Look at teams like Burnley,we have a much better squad than they do,yet they are having a fair go at staying up,why? Because they are fighting for it,they are fighting for their manager. Our players are not! I honestly believe that Neil Lennon is the man for the job.Not only would he put a bit of fight in our team,he is still a good manager, regardless of what you wanna sat about Scottish football. You just have to look at Celtics performances in the CL under him, with very little money in comparison to what we have. Poor managers don't go to Barcelona and get wins. Simple as that.
Monk Posted 9 February 2015 Posted 9 February 2015 I can't believe the Guardian went and ****ing printed it. What a bunch of retards!
Babylon Posted 9 February 2015 Posted 9 February 2015 I honestly don't see how this makes us a laughing stock. Sky sports got it wrong. It doesn't, it's just another reason for some people to have a whinge.

Guest Col city fan Posted 9 February 2015 Posted 9 February 2015 I was Blimey. I must admit I was pretty distraught when I heard the news that MON was going to Celtic. However, that was on the back of successive top ten finishes, two League Cups and watching some magic football. People are crying because we were going to lose Pearson when we were bottom of the table, having watched some dire stuff this season and after some bizarre antics from the chap. Last season was grand. But this season ain't. Have people become this easily pleased or has the forum developed some sort of defensive, siege mentality that Nige is the be all and end all, in spite of anything else? Being concerned we will got No-one else in, I accept. Crying at the loss of Sir Nigel is something completely different. Personally, I don't give two hoots. I just want to see the club gain some self respect once more and get some points on the Board.
ScouseFox Posted 9 February 2015 Posted 9 February 2015 nobody is happy being bottom. but everyone is aware that nigel pearson's the best man for the job and that the last time we started chopping and changing managers we went from top 10 in the premier league to league one, and only returned through the fact that we stuck by a manager (this manager). we're going through a tough run but there is absolutely no way any of the names listed would suddenly come in and turn a deflated squad around and keep us up. the players and the fans are pretty much unanimously behind pearson for a reason.
