MooseBreath Posted 9 February 2015 Posted 9 February 2015 With Pearson in charge I don't see why that would be, he was here for two seasons when we didn't have a pot to piss in and we won League One and finished in the Championship play offs. Mandaric funded the highest wage bill in league one, we had by far the best squad already which should never have been relegated in the first place, which was then supplemented by signings like Tunchev and Dyer and several premier league loans. The next season was good, Pearson at his best, but again it was nowhere near the kind of shoestring budget that we'd always had before. And we did fail to get promoted. Pearson has never been tested here with a low value squad and no money to spend. I'm sure he would do an OK job, and having done so, with no prospects for progression here he would have probably left for better things. For me, last season's promotion, ownership of the stadium, being debt free, and having a cat 1 academy doesn't happen without the owner's backing.

MooseBreath Posted 9 February 2015 Posted 9 February 2015 Fvcking hell the way some people go on about the Thais. I'd rather we were playing in the Conference than be held to ransom by some bloke who was given our club as a stocking filler if it came to it (heaven forbid it does). When has there ever been the remotest suggestion that the club is going to be held to ransom? Why would you even say that?
Babylon Posted 9 February 2015 Posted 9 February 2015 Damaging the Kingpower brand... Jesus, a bit of rough and tumble and suddenly they think nobody will buy some CK1 at the airport? Unlikely, especially consider their brand isn't exactly looked upon glowingly anyway. You know with the several scandals they have had over there themselves. But no, I'm sure people are right, Pearson holding on to someones shirt for a bit too long will definitely be frowned upon.
Corky Posted 9 February 2015 Posted 9 February 2015 The Thais are getting worried about the negative publicity Pearson is bringing on the club according to radio reports in Thailand.got a friend working over there who says it was on a report in Bangkok. Whatever you think of Pearson he needs to watch what he,s doing as he has behaved like a bit of a cock lately. Don't ever suggest we appoint Mourinho then.
Soup Posted 9 February 2015 Posted 9 February 2015 The vast majority of our home crowd are damaging my match day experience.Whinging, moaning and then falling asleep with 10 minutes to go when we're losing. This really has nothing to do with anything but I'm fed up.

You are forgotting during the Mandaric years, Pearson flog some players at a price to counteract the spending. Mattock, Maculay, Hume, Stearman all went for £1 million plus.
GaelicFox Posted 9 February 2015 Posted 9 February 2015 If they are worried about image maybe thier links to the military and government would be a better place to start sorting image out http://m.hrw.org/news/2015/01/29/thailand-human-rights-free-fall
fuchsntf Posted 9 February 2015 Posted 9 February 2015 NP is bigger than ' -ol blue eyes' Mr Frank Sinatra....and ' I did it my way '...... I reckon this his way of showing what he meant by his...' Unfinished Buisiness'
CosbehFox Posted 9 February 2015 Posted 9 February 2015 When has there ever been the remotest suggestion that the club is going to be held to ransom? Why would you even say that? The way they have bought the stadium and placed under a different company to that of the company which owns Leicester City suggest they have a nice back up if it gets nasty.

Most of their most valuable customers are business travellers from Japan, Korea, China etc. Also they've got other domestic business interests. I agree that as city fans this is far from a priority, but let's not pretend we're all experts in brand management in the Asian business community all of a sudden.

one F in Fox Posted 9 February 2015 Posted 9 February 2015 I thought there was no such thing as "Bad Publicity" !?
DANGEROUS TIGER Posted 9 February 2015 Posted 9 February 2015 They should be kissing Pearson's feet, without him we'd probably still be half way up the Championship with the 90mil Sven debt doubled. Do City fans really give a shit about King Power? I certainly don't. King Power's owners run our club, partially to help their business. Without King Power, the owners would probably not have bought us and we would be languishing in the lower leagues, or even out of business. It's us who should be kissing their feet.
fazzyfox Posted 9 February 2015 Posted 9 February 2015 A little bit of imagination and they could make it work for them, TV advert shot 1 Pearson stands pitch-side looking at his luxury King power gold watch, shot 2 McArthur spots it "I'll ave some of that"', shot 3 the collision and grappling, shot 4 McArthur parades newly acquired watch to team mates. Pearson looks at camera and says "I thought he was McArthur but he was Robben'" followed by a lengthy explanation in Taiwanese.

tickler28 Posted 9 February 2015 Posted 9 February 2015 Apparently SSN suggests the dad wanted them gone yet the son intervened and said NO!! They were sacked said their goodbyes and yet 3 hours later were reinstated....bizarre happenings....doesn't seem like they know what to do.....perhaps they reinstated them on a contract with a huge bonus if they keep us up!!! Let's hope so

How come you cant extend the same courtesy to Pearson then?
