Strokes Posted 9 February 2015 Posted 9 February 2015 I've barely seen anyone give lineker greif, you can still like both you know. Neither are coming round for Xmas dinner.
Babylon Posted 9 February 2015 Posted 9 February 2015 Long live King Nigel. You'll get quoted tomorrow and people will take that seriously.
Guest MattP Posted 9 February 2015 Posted 9 February 2015 Wonder if Pearson knows about a few of the rumours that have done the rounds about Lineker? Remember someone replying personally to Lineker a few years back (might have been Richie Humpereys) and a couple of other players chimed in with stuff like 'go one Richie expose the fraud' etc. Don't think Gary is too well liked outside of Leicester.
Itsthejoeker Posted 9 February 2015 Posted 9 February 2015 The great Nigel has spoken, he has told us to purge the non-believers. Nigel Akbar

Steve_Guppy_Left_Foot Posted 9 February 2015 Posted 9 February 2015 I. personally would like to see the manager see the season out and see if he can turn it round. Does that make me a moron, a ****, a pearsonite etc? In all likelihood I'd of backed the manager this year whoever it was that got us up. I support the club before I support any manager or player, but I'd like to see Nigel see the season out and see if he can turn it round. I don't see why so many people on here attack each other for either wanting him to stay or go. Some weird people around.

Joey Barton did it as well last year too. It's fairly easy to look up on the web.
Guest Kopfkino Posted 10 February 2015 Posted 10 February 2015 You'll get quoted tomorrow and people will take that seriously. I bloody hope it was serious #pearsonite
EnderbyFox Posted 10 February 2015 Posted 10 February 2015 As many others have said, nothing but respect for Lineker for what he's done for the club. That second tweet however was unnecessary and made him come across as extremely petty.
ScouseFox Posted 10 February 2015 Posted 10 February 2015 can't work out who's lying and who's crying round here no more, like an episode of corrie this

I think he probably is, you know. One of England's all-time top scorers, Golden Boot winner in a World Cup for us, scored the crucial goals to get us as far as we've got in the competition since 1966, unbelievably squeaky-clean image as a footballer, also adored by Everton and Spurs fans. Either way, why any true Leicester fan would wish to add to, and add implicit support for, aspersions and personal attacks on Gary Lineker, arguably our best-ever player and the man whose intervention led to the survival of the club (at personal cost to the man), I don't know. I can't even bring myself to laugh at how sad some of this is. And to think Pearson's most devout supporters are those who accuse everyone else of being 'ungrateful'.

That second tweet however was unnecessary and made him come across as extremely petty. he was, though, responding to a petty jibe from Pearson the almighty in the first place.
Guest MattP Posted 10 February 2015 Posted 10 February 2015 Joey Barton did it as well last year too. It's fairly easy to look up on the web. Just had a read up on that. Gary went very sheepish!

GingerrrFox Posted 10 February 2015 Posted 10 February 2015 I heard Nigel challenged Gary and Wayne to a triple threat hell in the cell. Vichai as special guest referee.
Guest MattP Posted 10 February 2015 Posted 10 February 2015 Either way, why any true Leicester fan would wish to add to, and add implicit support for, aspersions and personal attacks on Gary Lineker'. How on earth have I done that?
inckley fox Posted 10 February 2015 Posted 10 February 2015 As many others have said, nothing but respect for Lineker for what he's done for the club. That second tweet however was unnecessary and made him come across as extremely petty. When Pearson yelled 'f*** off and die' at a fan in response to provocation, people saw no need to slate him for his behaviour. Even though he's the foremost ambassador for our club and his players have also been involved in numerous fracas with our fans, and his professional conduct continues to come into question. But when Lineker responds to provocation he's 'extremely petty'. Honestly.
SecretPro Posted 10 February 2015 Posted 10 February 2015 Joey Barton did it as well last year too. It's fairly easy to look up on the web. Joey Barton taking a moral high ground Gary Lineker: 80 caps, 48 goals, MBE. Joey Barton: 1 cap, 0 goals, ABH.
Julian Joachim Jr Shabadoo Posted 10 February 2015 Posted 10 February 2015 ...what was Lineker's actual tweet? I'm literally weeping as I don't know who to side with, the man who promotes Leicester's biggest snack export, or our leader, who is providing pitch-side entertainment by taking care of himself It's like David vs Goliath, only David's gone and got himself a ridiculous goatee, so you actually want to root for the big bastard. I think.
nettle Posted 10 February 2015 Posted 10 February 2015 Happy to see you didn't deny that Pearson is a ****!

Even though he's the foremost ambassador for our club and his players have also been involved in numerous fracas with our fans, and his professional conduct continues to come into question. But when Lineker responds to provocation he's 'extremely petty'. Honestly. It's not the fact he's replied to provocation, it's that he appears to have decided to tell the World extremely confidential information from our boardroom. Which is outrageous when you consider he's a life vice president.
inckley fox Posted 10 February 2015 Posted 10 February 2015 you argue with people for supporting pearson but then staunchly back a man who's tweet could seriously damage the club? fvck logic. How could it seriously damage the club? Seriously? Hasn't it occurred to you that in accusing that tweet of doing serious damage, which is frankly absurd, you're overlooking the actions that it responded to, and the considerably greater damage that they caused.

Which is outrageous when you consider he's a life vice president. Do you honestly believe that he was 'the leak'?
