Arsenal v Leicester City match thread

I think its obvious that he is not going to drop his captain, but why? Why should he be guarenteed a place? I love Morgan, but if you base it on performance,Wasyl is first on my team sheet.

And playing 2 other CB's for their debut..? Defence could go to shambles.

But oh well, lets get behind them and see what happens.

Huge risk to put in 2 centre halves for their first games in the Prem all season away at Arsenal. Guess Nige is thinking their experience will get them through.

Feel v disappointed to see Was dropped, very unjust. But if he wants to retain Wes he had to play Upson as a left footer.

Would not have been the team I picked but I was one to say I fully support the decision to keep Nige as manager so I'm fully behind his selection. COYB!

I don't care what anyone says. Nigel picks the team, and if he feels that this is the best team for this match, then so be it. I think he knows the players and the team better than any of you lot on here. So stop with your negative comments and enjoy the game, win or lose.

May as well roll with it. Good defensive display would be ideal. Remember Wasyl is our oldest defender so pearson may be thinking he should be rested. Hope the system works anyway

I think we're fvcked whatever we play. 4-4-2 and they'll just play around us, 4-5-1 or 5-4-1 they'll pin us back. Wouldn't fancy picking a side and formation for this match.

Well, we're playing 11 men for a start so you were wrong there :D

Haha, I'd toyed with Hammond and didn't realise I'd left him in the middle. Oops.

12 men is an absolutely genius idea. I don't know why we've not tried it before :D

We are all backing the team, although just because NP is the LCFC manager, does not mean we cant disagree and opinionate. If he played hamer up front and kram as a sweeper keeper then we wouldnt be like 'well, Pearson decision, come on LCFC'..

They won't be wing backs, they'll be full backs.

Agree. They aren't going to play wing back when we've got wingers in too.

to be honest im past the point in caring who starts, I support the team, not individuals, whoever starts I want them to do well, as we all do, so hows about we all stop with the hating and get behind the lads, no ones giving us a chance tonight anyway so anything other then a loss is a bonus, personally I can see us sneaking this

HE. IS. NOT. GOING. TO. DROP. HIS. CAPTAIN.

Why can't people understand this?

If he's been an utter liabilty he should be dropped - he's scored more own goals than our strikers in open play, let alone other blunders.

Anyone other than Nige would replace the consistantly worse performing player if there to be a change, not the best one.

As for Wes as a Captain - what a joke - Marcel Marceau would do more communicating with his fellow defenders.

Surely you'd play Ulloa upfront with 5 at the back as it's someone to hoof it up to.

Also, wouldn't Schlupp be better at LWB to cope with the pace? Matt Upson too?! No first team football for a year, yet gets thrown in away from home against Arsenal?! How are you going to get the best out of Kramaric too by playing him on his own with no hope of support.

Sounds awful, but if we get battered tonight, as could happen it could come back to bite Pearson in the ass.

Sounds like a team he's chosen to lose the game.

Am I the only one who's worried about Walcott's pace against Konch?

Surely when playing 3 centre backs it would be the perfect time to play schlupp left back/ wing back which would also help deal with their pace
