CollinsLCFC Posted 10 February 2015 Posted 10 February 2015 Surely you'd play Ulloa upfront with 5 at the back as it's someone to hoof it up to. Also, wouldn't Schlupp be better at LWB to cope with the pace? Matt Upson too?! No first team football for a year, yet gets thrown in away from home against Arsenal?! How are you going to get the best out of Kramaric too by playing him on his own with no hope of support. Sounds awful, but if we get battered tonight, as could happen it could come back to bite Pearson in the ass. Sounds like a team he's chosen to lose the game. Good point. But imagine if he benched Kramaric for two games in a row..
DennisNedry Posted 10 February 2015 Posted 10 February 2015 Kramaric is going to be so isolated and ineffective it'll be painful for him.
Monsell1976 Posted 10 February 2015 Posted 10 February 2015 Swap Morgan for Was and I'm happyPretty much this, Morgan has been nowhere near as good as was, people talk about Pearson and his favourites, picking Morgan cements that for me, he's been a liability.

Given Ulloa's control on Saturday I'm not surprised he's not starting, was awful. Kramaric has shown some neat touches on the ball so hopefully we'll try and play to feet and get players in support.

If you hoof the ball up to Ulloa whats he supposed to do,he has no support striker. His hold up play isn't great, his touch is not the best... I cannot really see the point in playing him in that sort of role
Gio Posted 10 February 2015 Posted 10 February 2015 Surely? The ball would bounce off him back into our own half. So true. His touch in the last match was pathetic. Probably worse than Sunday league
lgfualol Posted 10 February 2015 Posted 10 February 2015 Kramaric grew 8ft overnight so he can get service from our defence/centre midfield.
Guest Col city fan Posted 10 February 2015 Posted 10 February 2015 Thing that worries me is we're quick offensively, but bloody slow defensively. Upson, Huth, Morgan must be the slowest defence in the Prem I suspect.
cecchini Posted 10 February 2015 Posted 10 February 2015 I just stuck €40.00 on city to win @10:1 easiest 400 euro ill ever make!
Fox Ulike Posted 10 February 2015 Posted 10 February 2015 Those three big centre backs should combat Arsenal's traditional long ball game. PEARSON YOU GENIUS!!!!
cjslcfc Posted 10 February 2015 Posted 10 February 2015 I'm warming to the team selection. Can see the plan. Just a bit annoyed he's dropped Was!
queensguardfox Posted 10 February 2015 Posted 10 February 2015 Mahrez and schluup will play a big role in supporting kram..
jamesmilner Posted 10 February 2015 Posted 10 February 2015 4 out of 5 are pretty slow at the back for us . who knows wat the tactics are hes baffled me but lets see how it goes ? I am shocked with 5 at the back and kram up front on his own , he aint a holding forward imo !
Kitchandro Posted 10 February 2015 Posted 10 February 2015 I don't care what anyone says. Nigel picks the team, and if he feels that this is the best team for this match, then so be it. I think he knows the players and the team better than any of you lot on here. So stop with your negative comments and enjoy the game, win or lose. If he knows so much why we do we lose so often?
Trav Le Bleu Posted 10 February 2015 Posted 10 February 2015 I'm fascinated with the formation, if we get a point from this, I will suck Pearsons nob Stored for future reference.
Dr The Singh Posted 10 February 2015 Posted 10 February 2015 Thing that worries me is we're quick offensively, but bloody slow defensively. Upson, Huth, Morgan must be the slowest defence in the Prem I suspect. They will be great at defending set pieces, which is Arsenals forte
lcfcsnow Posted 10 February 2015 Posted 10 February 2015 Thing that worries me is we're quick offensively, but bloody slow defensively. Upson, Huth, Morgan must be the slowest defence in the Prem I suspect. and the oldest. 42,28,30,31,35,33. Would be higher with Wasyl in.
Wycombe Fox Posted 10 February 2015 Posted 10 February 2015 I'm amazed, not too dis-similar from what I picked in the pre-match thread but surprsied at Upson in for Wasyl. He's been an absolute rock since we dropped Moore. 12 players would help I suppose
Dr The Singh Posted 10 February 2015 Posted 10 February 2015 Stored for future reference. , you can see how confident I am of us getting a result today

Witch Posted 10 February 2015 Posted 10 February 2015 We could as well give Arsenal these three points tied with a bow.
Floridafox Posted 10 February 2015 Posted 10 February 2015 What was Aston Villa's formation the other week against Arsenal? Whatever they tried to do it failed abysmally, 5-0
