ScouseFox Posted 22 February 2015 Posted 22 February 2015 Pearson 8 - stay. 6 for the starting line up an 10 for how his changes changed the game. Schwarzer 6 Simpson 6 Morgan 7 - better. dat backheel mmmmhm. Huth 8 - huuuuuuuf Upson 6 - so so slow it's like when you accidentally pause the tele an then try and fast forward it and it goes into super slow mo. but all the time. Konch 6 - could've been a 7 tbf thought he was adequate. Riyad 5 - barely touched the ball James 7 - classic james. Cambiasso 9 (MOTM) - best player on the pitch by miles, scored too. Jeff 5 - see riyad except missed a sitter Kram 7 - ran so much Nuge 6 - got a goal Vardy 7 - two great assists King na Everton 4 Ref 6
Benguin Posted 22 February 2015 Posted 22 February 2015 Scwarzer - 5 Made one good save but should have done much much better on the goals. Simpson - 5 Better than usual but I must have screamed clear the F@ king ball about 10 times. Morgan - 5 Would have been a four if not for that sensational challenge that led to the goal. Upson - 5 Not saying where his high ratings are coming from? I think he's passed it personally. Huth - 5 Lost the ball loads but managed to recover it most of the time. Konchesky - 6 Earns his LB status fair and square recently Mahrez - 5 Great skill but was very selfish in possession today. There were about 5 opportunities to play Kramaric in that he ended up keeping too long and getting tackled. Cambiasso - 8 World Class James - 6 Competent, would have loved to see his shot buried and have him on the scoresheet. Schlupp - 5 Not bad but should do better in front of goal. Kramaric - 6 Clearly competent on the ball, but never going to get a look in with the current tactics. How he found 2 goals in previous games under these tactics clearly demonstrates his ability. Vardy - 7 I must admit I was horrified when I saw the double substitution but I was proved wrong. Two fabulous assists Nugent - 6.5 Great striker instinct to get the goal, pretty competent but his enthusiasm > Skill. King - N/A ermm didn't really see him other than getting nutmeged. I would have bought him on for Morgan personally but then again im not a football manager. Everton - Created a lot but were wasteful. Could have scored 2 or 3 more. Us - 6 Fair result in all honesty but having exerted all my energy in the closing third of the game the draw feels like a loss. Ref - 5 clearly not biased but missed quite a lot of decisions for both teams. Pearson. Hard to say as we got a point, however if the same performance occurred with the exception of 1 extra everton chance being converted I would have said 4. Morgan, Simpson and Schwarzer all need to keep the bench warm for a while. Wasyl is an absolute must to start and Albrighton needs to become part of the team even if it is 20 mins at the end.
ADK Posted 22 February 2015 Posted 22 February 2015 Pearson 3 - Didn't think the selections or tactics were correct, the substitutions too reactive, failed to stop us dropping too deep. Schwarzer 4 - Could probably have saved the first goal 30 years ago. Kicking was too short too often. Simpson 4 - Looked a liability at both ends. Huth 7 - Solid. Morgan 8 - Showed he can cut it at his best. Upson 2 - Pointless. Legs have gone and passing was off. Probably makes the defence weaker. Koncheskey 7 - Had a good game. Mahrez 6 - Not totally effective, better than Villa. James 7 - Effective as usual. Cambiasso 8 - Showed why he has to play. Has the quality we lack. Schlupp 5 - Undid his good movement with atrocious finishing and then lost confidence. Dyer Mk2. Kramaric 6 - Did a mostly thankless task but can't really give him higher than 6. Nugent 6 - Tried his best not to score. Did work hard though. Vardy 7 - Showed composure to pick out Cambiasso, his last two sub appearances have been promising. King 6 - Didn't have long enough to do anything. Everton 4 - Goalkeeper had a mare and finishing was poor. Ref 6 - Didn't have an awful lot to do. Booking on Morgan was harsh.
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 22 February 2015 Posted 22 February 2015 Huth - 5 Lost the ball loads but managed to recover it most of the time.
Dickov22 Posted 22 February 2015 Posted 22 February 2015 Schwarzer 5 Like a statue for the first goal Simpson 6 Quite solid and unspectacular Morgan 6 Much better. Great challenge in the build up to the first goal for us. Loses a mark for losing Lukaku for the free header second half though Upson 4 So so slow. Outmuscled regularly too. Waste of a player on the pitch- would prefer his place to go to an extra midfielder or a striker to help Kramaric Huth 8 Our best defender. Great performance Konchesky 5 Just isn't very good Schlupp 5 Oh Jeff James 7 Another good display Cambiasso 9 Best player of either side by miles. Fantastic Mahrez 5 Off day for him Kramaric 6 Worked hard, great effort in the first half. Too lightweight to play on his own Vardy 7 Maybe worth another run in the side? Caused them problems and two good assists Nugent 6 Goal but woeful effort when through on goal straight after they scored. Terrible first touch
BigWesMorgan Posted 22 February 2015 Posted 22 February 2015 Schwarzer 4 - Why are people giving him higher? Did he actually have a save to make or save anything? Simpson 4 - Meh Huth 8 - SOLID AF. Morgan 6 - One of his better games Upson 3 - Donkey Konchesky 6 - One of his better games James 7 - Very good Cambiasso 9 - Class Mahrez 5 - Didn't do anything good or bad Schlupp 5 - Should have scored 3 but injected good pace Kramaric 6 - Composed on his own up front Nugent 7 - A tap in but was a game changer Vardy 8 - Best sub in a while King N/A
theessexfox Posted 22 February 2015 Posted 22 February 2015 Schwarzer - 6 - Reasonably solid, think he was unlucky with the first how it trickled through between 2 defenders Simpson - 4 - At least he tries but he's not great Huth - 7 - Solid Morgan - 6 - Better Upson - 5 - Mixed, he can defend but lacks speed Konchesky - 6 - An outlet going forward, fairly solid defensively Mahrez - 5 - Not in the game James - 6 - Did well Cambiasso - 8 - Good in all aspects Schlupp - 6 - Some good pieces of play to set up his chances but gotta finish Kramaric - 6 - Ran his socks off, tidy play Nugent - 6 - Helped change the game, could've done better with a couple of chances to get through near the end Vardy - 7 - Two assists, good display King - N/A Pearson - 8 - Set us up well (Stay) Everton - 6 - Tidy, not great Ref - 7 - Can't remember him being bad
Fox92 Posted 22 February 2015 Posted 22 February 2015 Huth was the best defender on the pitch. How can you give him a 5?
ScouseFox Posted 22 February 2015 Posted 22 February 2015 I gave schwarzer a 6 cos I thought he did well to claim at least two corners that Kasper wouldnt have, and can't see how he can be blamed for either goal. So he was just pretty average.
AKCJ Posted 22 February 2015 Posted 22 February 2015 I gave schwarzer a 6 cos I thought he did well to claim at least two corners that Kasper wouldnt have, and can't see how he can be blamed for either goal. So he was just pretty average. Totally agree. Blaming Schwarzer for the goals is clutching at straws big time.
ADK Posted 22 February 2015 Posted 22 February 2015 He just watched the ball trickle past him for the first.
Benguin Posted 22 February 2015 Posted 22 February 2015 Huth was the best defender on the pitch. How can you give him a 5? True he defended well, but most of his expert tackles were reclaiming balls he had lost. I thought the entire back 3 were a little off today. My opinion though.
theessexfox Posted 22 February 2015 Posted 22 February 2015 He just watched the ball trickle past him for the first. Ever heard of being wrong-footed?
ADK Posted 22 February 2015 Posted 22 February 2015 Ever heard of being wrong-footed? As the goalkeeper he needs to do better. It was like the one he got away with against Spurs in the cup.
Guest ttfn Posted 22 February 2015 Posted 22 February 2015 Schwarzer 5 - Doesn't fill me with any more confidence than the other two. Arguably at fault for the first goal as it barely deviated and trickled in at 0.5mph. Distribution good. Simpson 4 - Great cross leading to the second but he's utterly dreadful; certainly the most "out of his depth" right back I've seen for us. Their first came from him kicking the ball out for a throw in when it was going out for a goal kick. His ability on the ball is non-existent most of the time - his shot in the first half had to be seen to be believed. BUT he is ok (not good) defensively. Morgan 6 - Better than recent weeks. Still far from convincing and fvck knows where he was for the equaliser - what is Upson (the left centre back) doing defending the front post for the ball in from the Everton left? Huth I get as he was blocking the cross, but Morgan appeared to be MIA. Huth 8 - Really really solid. If he had been fit and with us from the start of the season I don't think we'd be in the bottom 3 let alone 4 points adrift. Upson 5 - Just looks a bit slow to me. Konchesky (ok cheeky on my predictive text) 5 - I quite like him in this back 5 but he got caught miles out of position a couple of times at the end of the game. Mahrez 4 - Offered very little. James 6 - did ok. Think he will still be in this league next season, somebody will take a chance on him. Cambiasso 8.5 - best player on the pitch. First half I thought he was ok, not outstanding but pretty good. Second half he was absolutely outstanding. Schlupp 4 - probably best re-open the voting for the 2015 ballon d'or that a few had given him after 2 good weeks. Kramaric 6 - did what he could in what is a formation I really don't like at all. We've got to pass the ball to him along the ground. Subs: Nugent 6.5 - scored and worked hard but didn't offer much in possession as usual. Vardy 7.5 - two assists in half an hour is good going. Everton 6 Nige 7 Ref 7
shen Posted 22 February 2015 Posted 22 February 2015 Giving Schlupp a 4 is very very harsh. Worked his socks off during the first half and offered a lot of support to Kramaric. Did well to draw the first save of the match and had two good chances, one of which he did very well to even control. Should have hit the target with the chance at the start of the second half, but he was far more threatening today overall than Mahrez and even Kramaric.
GorlestonFox Posted 22 February 2015 Posted 22 February 2015 Huth - 5 Lost the ball loads but managed to recover it most of the time. hahahaha
bovril Posted 22 February 2015 Posted 22 February 2015 Schwarzer 5 Simpson 5 Huth 7 Morgan 6 Upson 5 Konch 7 Schlupp 5 Cambi 8 James 7 Mahrez 6 Kramaric 7 Nugent 7 Vardy 8 King n/a
65RosesFox Posted 22 February 2015 Posted 22 February 2015 Schwarzer 4 - Why are people giving him higher? Did he actually have a save to make or save anything? He comfortably collected a couple of crosses under pressure, and punched well for another. Made a great save from Lukaku, who was offside but he wasn't to know. Unfair to criticise him for either goal, Upson was to blame for the first as he gave Lukaku far too much time on the ball.
kingfox Posted 22 February 2015 Posted 22 February 2015 Schwarzer(5) - Bit slow getting down, but not to blame for the goals Simpson(3) - Dithers on the ball, then turns in dangerous areas, not good enough Morgan(6) - Few rash moments; however his heading & blocking was good Huth(6) - No nonsense defending, fairly solid Upson(4) - Finally proves what I said all along, not good enough for this division anymore Konchesky(4) - Got forward well at times, but defensively suspect, dithers like Simpson Mahrez(4) - Today proves why I don't suck him off like other fans, did nothing James(8) - Class when on the ball, played the right passes at the right times Cambiasso(8) - Ok first half, showed his true class in the second Schlupp(5) - Probably would of got a 7/8 if he could shoot properly Kramaric(6) - Can't fault him, worked hard could only do so much Subs Nugent(6) - Got a goal Vardy(7) - Game changer, good two assists King(N/A)
Bettsj2 Posted 22 February 2015 Posted 22 February 2015 Schwarzer 4 - Massive bag of shit Simpson 4 - Getting worse with every game Wes 7 - Best performance for ages Huth 8 - If we had him from the start.... Upson 3 - Another bag if shit. Not sure why Pearson thinks this cvnt will help us. Crap. Konchesky 5 - Did ok but isnt at all dynamic Cambiasso 9 - His best performance for us James 8 - Looking much more comfortable in possession. Schlupp 5 - Great until he needed to finish. Any sight of goal and he turns into a loaf of bread. Mahrez 4 - The worst of him today. Show pony. Kramaric 7 - Ran his balls off and when he got it, didnt waste possession. Awful effort when Nuge layed it back though. Subs Nuge 7 - Looked bright and determined. Vardy 7 - Same as Nuge. King n/a - Not sure he touched it. Pearson 5 - Good subs but still want him gone. They were shit and there for the taking. With a bit of courage we could have fvcked them. Another what might have been game. Everton 2 - Fvcking rubbish
Hirsty The Blue 94 Posted 22 February 2015 Posted 22 February 2015 Schwarzer 6 - Despite people's dislike of him could do nothing about the goals. First one completely wrong footed as couldn't see due to his sight being blocked by our 2 sliding defenders. Didn't have that many saves to make. Handling and distribution good.Simpson 3- Stealing a wage as a Premier League right back. Can't attack of defend very well. No coincidence that a large majority of our goals come from our right hand side. 1st half shot was diabolical.Morgan 7 - Defended well today, out his body on the line with some good blocks and kept Lukaku with his back to goal. Decent distribution from the back too. (Haters moving on to Upson now) Huth 7 - Won aerial dual well. Looked a little more panicky in possession than against Arsenal, but made up for it with some good challenges. Looked a threat attacking set plays too.Upson 4 - Was easily brushed aside by Lukaku for the first, looks a frail old man. Also gave the ball away numerous times. Although bringing Wasyl in would imbalance the left/right balance he needs to be above Upson in the pecking order. Deserved his own goal as was probably their best player.Konch 6 - Standard Konch performance, pretty solid defensively bar a few moments of madness. Put a few dangerous balls in but not exactly adventurous.Mahrez 5 - Another below par performance. Beat his man early in the game then looked to do it every time when the simple ball was on.James 7 - Looked tidy in possession and broke forward from midfield well. Good effort in the 2nd half but tired last 15 when we were clinging on and couldn't get his foot on the ball.Cambiasso 8 - Man of the match and the best player on the pitch. Retained possession well although tried the hollywood ball a little too often. Broke up play nicely and very tidy finish. Legs went which is a shame as I think we would have saw it out with him on.Schlupp 5 - Back to the Schlupp of old these last 2 weeks. no positional sense and so wasteful in front of goal. The fact he causes problems with raw pace must make Nigel regret not signing Lloyd up for another few years.Kramaric 6 - Not much service, worked his arse off and a good effort in the first half. Should have done better late in the game with the chance he spooned over which I think if Nugent had of missed that chance he would have been vilified.Subs Vardy 7 - Changed the game with his pace and energy. 2 very good assists. (FVCKING PEARSON LOST IT PUTTING VARDY ON THE WING)Nuge 6- Simple finish, worked hard and caused trouble. That first touch when he was through on goal though was awful.King N/AEverton 3- Very poor side, passed the ball so slowly in the first 75 minutes, only showed urgency when they were 2-1 down.Ref 7 - No real qualms about him at all. The handball pen would have been soft but plenty given against us this season.Nige 6 (Stay) - Still no idea why Simpson is in the team, but the system was frustrating Everton until they scuffed a jammy goal. Changes worked well but became so open when we played with more attackers that I thought Everton were going to score every attack. Deano got to be on the bench to sure up situations like today instead of King who isn't the man for a scrap.
LAprice_ Posted 22 February 2015 Posted 22 February 2015 Can't believe all the Upson hate. People moan at Pearson for being reactionary but some of these ratings makes me think the same about peoples' opinion of Upson. He got outpaced by Aaron Lennon quite a lot. Lennon. Aaron Lennon. Not Paul Gallagher or Andy Reid. As for that own goal, I don't know what he could've done. Okay. Let's say he messed up there but looking at some of these ratings he's getting you'd assume he picked the ball up and threw it into the goal. It's the second full 90 minutes he's played for the first team. Bit early to write him off IMO
