foxinsocks Posted 22 March 2015 Posted 22 March 2015 The fans are patient and loyal. Thus nigel has avoided mass calls for his p45. .... with hind sight we should have been less loyal. The writing was on the wall but we all hoped things would change. But with np you get the same over and over. Why we're we so hopeful?
Voll Blau Posted 22 March 2015 Posted 22 March 2015 Doesn't anyone go to games anymore and just be a Leicester fan.All this bitching about the manager or certain players is bullshit,we're Leicester full stop.If we rock an away end all game and lose then fvck it I'm happy with that,a win is just a bonus. Valid. Said it before and sadly will it many times more, but I do wonder what the fvck some people get out of going to the football.
Dan Posted 22 March 2015 Posted 22 March 2015 Thought our support was superb yesterday and really enjoyed the day cos of it. Spurs fans won't have had many go to WHL and be that loud for that long (can't think of any that have been like that at the KP) All I would say on the Pearson issue (gone from being very pro to indifferent about it all) is that, regardless of the mistakes he's made this season, he deserves more respect than for anyone to actively chant against him or abuse him. You can want him out, I have no issue with that. If I talk to you in the pub it's fine for you to tell me that. If I read on Twitter or here that you want him gone, that is also fine. But I don't agree with abusing him or turning on him vocally (also fine with you not joining in pro-Pearson chants). Let's have a bit of respect for what he's done for the club and how he's turned us round. Twice. Let's remember where we were before his first spell, then where we were before his second spell, and consider if the man is really an 'arsehole'. He might not have earned your support or affection this season but he should have earned your respect about five years ago. Superb post and that's from someone who's had enough of how he's been this season. The hatred, literal hatred that some of our fans have for the bloke really does puzzle me.
Swiss_tony Posted 23 March 2015 Posted 23 March 2015 Thats vile mate.Did you have a bit of a finger pointing rant quite early on, I was at the top left lower and my mate said it looks like your mate from the pub is giving someone a mouthful. Thought atmosphere was good and didn't hear any Pearson out chants, I did hear one bloke start something about foreskins but that was met with a lot of oh dears and sighs. Thought Tottenhams fans noise was absolutely appalling and loads giving it the big un. I had to have a piss after their 2nd( someone injured) some bloke said" right, I'm back of to Leicester."Then I saw someone get let out ,amazing. Why bother. Said to my mate at 2-2 bet he feels a twvt now. Good to see you again mate. Did you say the same thing at 4-3???
Swiss_tony Posted 23 March 2015 Posted 23 March 2015 This. Some people have really short memories. Cobblers. He took the plaudits last season and rightly so. He should man up and take the flak for this seasons debacle.
cambridgefox Posted 23 March 2015 Posted 23 March 2015 Did you say the same thing at 4-3???No, to all.i didn't leave to go back to Leicester,I live in Cambridge. Not a huge Pearson fan at the moment, however i don't feel strongly enough and have respect for his past achievements to not get involved.Although I remember a midweek game against Norwich when Sousa was in charge( sort of)where I was involved.
Guest Posted 23 March 2015 Posted 23 March 2015 I was supportive on Saturday. Which I often can be during the 90 mins. But to be perfectly honest, nobody has the right to tell someone who has paid their hard earned cash for a ticket, what they can say/sing. It's not North Korea ffs.

But to be perfectly honest, nobody has the right to tell someone who has paid their hard earned cash for a ticket, what they can say/sing. It's not North Korea ffs. Everyone has the right say/sing what they want. But there is also a distinction to be made between what is right to sing and what is wrong to sing. For me, actively singing against Pearson is less justifiable/right than not doing so, so is therefore wrong. Of course you'll always get people who do/say what is wrong because they can because we live in a society that promotes free speech. Very much unlike North Korea.

bovril Posted 24 March 2015 Posted 24 March 2015 Well said Gaz At the games just support the team The debate about the manager is another issue altogether I sang 'Taylor out' when it became clear he was destroying the club. I've vented my anger at certain players on numerous occasions. As long as it's not personal I don't see the problem.

In my opinion we've missed our chance this season and should just get behind the team for the remaining games That said it is a personal choice of course

In my opinion we've missed our chance this season and should just get behind the team for the remaining games Agreed, it seems pointless now. But I'm not so sensitive or naive enough to think that everybody should remain positive. I've only been twice this season, I have family members who have been to almost every match and I'm surprised how the support has remained as positive as it has.
hackneyfox Posted 24 March 2015 Posted 24 March 2015 Really all it amounts is not attacking your team and not wanting them to do badly. The rule you're expected to follow if you support a team is to support that team. Hard to argue when it's put like that. Abuse of the players is frowned upon, sorry if that's what you like doing but most people don't appreciate it. Also, on your point about fans having a right to their opinion - I agree, they do - but why go to the game if you don't want to see your club win? It is simply not the case that you will be silenced for criticising the current manager. Many people do so on this forum and are not accused of being traitors. You already knew this of course but hey, why let reality get in the way of a good sob-story. It is the people who attacked (not criticised) the team and manager who are being frowned at here. The behaviour of certain individuals yesterday was detestable. Criticism is fine, abuse is not. Physically attacked? How terrible, no wonder you seem so upset.

On the one hand it's great that fans are showing patience generally but on the other I can't help feeling we missed a trick not getting rid in NovemberOnly time will tell I suppose
Harry - LCFC Posted 24 March 2015 Posted 24 March 2015 Physically attacked? How terrible, no wonder you seem so upset. Abused/verbally attacked. You know what I meant!
hackneyfox Posted 24 March 2015 Posted 24 March 2015 Abused/verbally attacked. You know what I meant!Still not sure what you're upset about, he's lucky he wasn't manager of Sunderland. He's had a remarkably easy ride this season considering the results.
Monsell1976 Posted 24 March 2015 Posted 24 March 2015 Still not sure what you're upset about, he's lucky he wasn't manager of Sunderland. He's had a remarkably easy ride this season considering the results. I thought it was just me that thought he's had it easy, think he can count himself a lucky man that Leicester fans, are not as demanding and volatile as the Sunderland fans.I know he can look after himself, but at Sunderland that was real hatred for the manager. I think in comparison people are fed up with results, and the things that have been talked to death about him, but i wouldn't say he's hated by city fans. I don't hate him, but just don't think he's been good enough, but wouldn't stop me cheering the players on.

He's had a remarkably easy ride this season considering the results. It's what this thread has been all about so I suspect you probably do. Refuse to celebrate goals because you hate the manager, insult the players during the game, actually want the team to lose - doing any of these things makes you a bit of a cvnt in my view. The reason you're pretending not to know what I'm talking about is so you can act as if there's nothing obviously wrong about these things. In reality of course it isn't at all difficult to see why one might dislike the sort of behaviour I've described.

How about the fans have stuck with you, the ground will be full again, and turn all this talk into points. After the Spurs performance, I have my hopes raised that we can get a win, I just hope they don't do what they have done all season, play well against the big boys away, followed by a lacklustre performance against a team we have a chance against.

I don't think that is what Cambiasso meant. I read his words as stating that these ARE NOT our last 6 games in the league and we musn't view them as such.

I think they all need to be honest, and say the time for talking is over, we need to turn the talk into wins.

I agree 100% There's been too much talk all season. I'd rather we simply win football matches. Let's have something to cheer about eh?
