sly1 Posted 24 March 2015 Posted 24 March 2015 Just a thought renaming the kp to king richard 111 stadium what do we think?
Monsell1976 Posted 24 March 2015 Posted 24 March 2015 Don't think the owners would be keen, maybe king Richard power the 3rd stadium.
Voll Blau Posted 24 March 2015 Posted 24 March 2015 Would be up for that. Would give the new ground a sense of identity that's sadly lacking.
Swiss_tony Posted 24 March 2015 Posted 24 March 2015 i guess nobody is getting the sarcasm of the original post, since we've played like turds for most of the season.
Guest MattP Posted 24 March 2015 Posted 24 March 2015 It's shit but it's actually better than the King Power stadium. Not going to happen though.
wattolcfc Posted 24 March 2015 Posted 24 March 2015 We need to have some half lcfc and half Richard III scarfs and some pin badges too while we're at it....
ramboacdc Posted 24 March 2015 Posted 24 March 2015 richard III was hardly a noble or brave man. we want to be named after a dude who killed his nephews and stole the throne?
Fox92 Posted 24 March 2015 Posted 24 March 2015 I wish we had a proper name like Filbert Street instead of all this branding nonsense.
Mike Oxlong Posted 24 March 2015 Posted 24 March 2015 Prefer the Englebert Humperdinck stadium. At least he was born here.
sylofox Posted 24 March 2015 Posted 24 March 2015 Prefer the Englebert Humperdinck stadium. At least he was born here. Be funny as fvck listening to reporters/commentators trying to say it lol
davieG Posted 24 March 2015 Posted 24 March 2015 Prefer the Englebert Humperdinck stadium. At least he was born here. Born in Madras, India, Dorsey moved to Leicester, England, as a child with his family
Mike Oxlong Posted 24 March 2015 Posted 24 March 2015 Born in Madras, India, Dorsey moved to Leicester, England, as a child with his family You've got too much time on your hands Davie :-) Grew up on the Glenfield Road though : FACT Anyway, what a name for a stadium.
Bryn Posted 24 March 2015 Posted 24 March 2015 It will never have non-commercial name again. It's a bit odd it doesn't have an official name, like the KC Stadium is sometimes called The Circle. It's never been given an unofficial name by the fans, probably too late now. I think Freemans Wharf would have been great, Filbert Way is probably the most likely bet if it ever reverts to a non-sponsorship name. King Richard III Stadium would be horrific and the rest of the country remains baffled as to why you're all so obsessed.

NewquayFox Posted 24 March 2015 Posted 24 March 2015 Gerry Dorsey aka Englebert grew up in the Highfields and went to Moat boys school, he sang on the same bill many times with my Sisters band 'Three hits and a Miss!....
Alf Bentley Posted 24 March 2015 Posted 24 March 2015 The club is Leicester City. We are City fans. The ground is in the city. It should be called The City Ground. Ground names should be appropriate to the club that plays there, so that lot in Nottingham should play at The Timber Yard.
Fez of Mahrez Posted 24 March 2015 Posted 24 March 2015 It's already been known as the Crisp Bowl and the King Prawn Stadium. We can't win. May as well name it after a Dick.
