ddarbyshire Posted 24 July 2014 Share Posted 24 July 2014 Have been looking into away travel prices after the release of Foxes Travel's decision to make ALL games £10. Came across this on their Facebook! Definitely sounds better than what Foxes Travel are offering!
promised land Posted 24 July 2014 Share Posted 24 July 2014 They have moved since yesterday's announcement then as Chelsea was £15 and Newcastle £18. Tbh their prices before were very fair but now it looks even better if you travel by coach.
Footballwipe Posted 24 July 2014 Share Posted 24 July 2014 Ausden Clark and Woods are the two biggest operators in the County of course. Just a theory, would AC be so aggressive in their pricing if Woods hadn't won the contract but say, Abbey Travel or G.H. Watts? Or am I overestimating the rivalry between the two? Whatever the case this is only good news for those who travel to away games via coach, however often or occasionally you use them.
Bert Posted 24 July 2014 Share Posted 24 July 2014 Just become a bit petty. AC got the hump because the club started using woods. So they thought they'd undercut FT by putting their own independent coaches on at a lower price. The club then announced their details of the new scheme yesterday and AC come out and do this. One thing it does make you wonder is how they could charge what they were before all this nonsense if they can now go in even lower.

I think the reason for why Ausden Clark have been able to drop their prices from what they were has to do with the Leicester City dictating prices, in all honesty I think it is most admirable that Ausden Clark, who don't have the funding like Foxes Travel does, are willing to go so far to reduce the prices for the fans, and the fact that they have ALWAYS been cheaper than Foxes Travel just goes to show how supporting Ausden Clark are to us fans. Plus just looking into Ausden Clark's offer and it sound much better than what Foxes Travel offers us as AC are doing £10 for all the games that were more than £10 and the games that were less they are still charging the same price for, where as FT are charging £10 across the board! Even for the reasonably local matches such as Aston Villa!!

Pointless self promotion, thought this was a forum not a market place? Can the mods remove this thread please? Bunch of crooks AC, always have been, always will be. I am self employed, working my own design business, this forum is about Leicester City Football club and in light of FT's announcement I decided to look into it and found this from AC, I travel to the away games and so getting a reasonable price for my travel is important, and thought it would be helpful to those other fans on here who are dedicated as I am in following my team! davieG Posted 24 July 2014 Share Posted 24 July 2014 There's no evidence that he/she works for ausden clark and even if they do it's still relevant to LCFC fans. Unless you have evidence you're prepared to hand over to the police stop calling them a bunch of crooks or similar slanderous statements. no I don't work for them or anyone else for that matter. Footballwipe Posted 24 July 2014 Share Posted 24 July 2014 I'm assuming he is referencing this https://www.gov.uk/government/news/leicester-coach-company-fined-10000-after-vosa-investigation And as for 'AC have ALWAYS been cheaper' always is a bit of a strong word considering they only started doing it half way through last season, it's not like they've been going for years. I'm aware of that but it still a risk to the forum owner if people put potentially slanderous statements on here so rather than making them why not just post the link like you have done and let people make their own minds up. Seems like the fan wins then if there's a bit of healthy competition going on. Not that it matters a jot to me. All about the railways on away days as far as I'm concerned.
