Spudulike Posted 31 October 2014 Share Posted 31 October 2014 We should have a permanent memorial to these lads down the City....https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rfPOvcri9vg
Solihullfox Posted 31 October 2014 Share Posted 31 October 2014 Agree completely - let's hope they play the trailer on the screens tomorrow - heroes one and all. Going to pay my respect at the Tower of London next Saturday, bless them for their sacrifice
volpeazzurro Posted 1 November 2014 Share Posted 1 November 2014 Good to see and pleased that the club have bothered.
Leicester Lass Posted 1 November 2014 Share Posted 1 November 2014 There is no club that does Remembrance Day as well as we do.
Phube Posted 1 November 2014 Share Posted 1 November 2014 There is no club that does Remembrance Day as well as we do. I believe we were the first club to have the poppy on our kit as well... Although a comment on that video; as they were talking about City footballers they should have told you their position in the team as well... would have brought it back to the club more. fleckneymike Posted 1 November 2014 Share Posted 1 November 2014 There is no club that does Remembrance Day as well as we do. And there is no set of fans who manage to balls up the minutes silence as well as we do
Super_horns Posted 1 November 2014 Share Posted 1 November 2014 Watford have a tiffo display today and from the computer generated images it looks brilliant. It was a wonderful effort by the supporters group to set the tribute up and credit to the Millwall fans for their respect too. This is one "live" image. http://www.footballforums.net/attachment.php?attachmentid=69831&d=1414865921
Narborough_fox Posted 11 November 2014 Share Posted 11 November 2014 The documentary has been put on YouTube by the club... Makes you proud to be a Leicester fan. Lest we Forget.
UpTheLeagueFox Posted 12 November 2014 Share Posted 12 November 2014 Just watched the documentary. Sad but wonderful. Well done to the media guys at the club for producing it.
MattGamble92 Posted 12 November 2014 Share Posted 12 November 2014 Great documentary but is there any need for King Power to plonk their logo into something like this?
Bert Posted 12 November 2014 Share Posted 12 November 2014 Great documentary but is there any need for King Power to plonk their logo into something like this?Maybe not. But I imagine their money went some way to producing the video.
Biggus Posted 12 November 2014 Share Posted 12 November 2014 I went to the premiere of the film at the club last night. Fantastic film and an emotional event. The Birch and Nigel showed a lot of emotion and respect for all lost in combat. Well done LCFC.
Dan LCFC Posted 14 November 2014 Share Posted 14 November 2014 Watched the whole thing and was very impressed. A very nice touch and very professionally done.
DANGEROUS TIGER Posted 15 November 2014 Share Posted 15 November 2014 I think I have over 100 books, and certainly over 60 hours of film, about the "Western Front". This never fails to sadden me, but it also puts into perspective, just how lucky we all are today. It would be a fitting tribute to put a memorial up, for all city players killed in warfare. katieakita Posted 15 November 2014 Share Posted 15 November 2014 Puts a little bit of recent poor form into perspective, a classy act from the club and something we should not forget a memorial would be fitting, after all we have the memorial garden at the ground. Bunyip Posted 16 November 2014 Share Posted 16 November 2014 As an ex service man I had the pleasure and honour of marching round the pitch a few years ago. The club were exceptional in the way they treated us that day with nothing being too much trouble and I'm pleased and proud that tradition is still being carried on at my beloved L.C.F.C.
