  1. Another quality goal
  2. Taking a shit on the penalty spot would get one I reckon
  3. Obviously I don’t know how he performs in training but to me it seems as if he hasn’t really had a fair crack of the whip during his time with us
  4. Might as well get rid of VAR Its just as shit as what preceded it but no delays
  5. Beats staying in to knit a new tank top though.
  6. I’d assumed it was from My Big Fat Gypsy Wedding
  7. I’ll have a pint of Taylor Fletcher please - a well rounded non light ale
  8. He could effortlessly put defenders on their arse even though they knew what he was going to do.
  9. I reckon the lads could take the next month off, go on a nice holiday, forfeit the games missed and still piss the league
  10. Did some good things with us but above all a decent bloke who loved the game. He was at the helm when England ended many years of hurt by tonking Germany 5-1 which remains one of my favourite memories of the national team. Sorry to hear this news.
  11. They don’t seem overly gloomy about the future - revenues up, investment ongoing with more significant investment planned for the future https://www.scottishfinancialnews.com/articles/brewdog-records-third-year-of-losses-despite-growing-revenues#:~:text=Despite posting pre-tax profits, trading conditions after the pandemic. And in terms of everyone chipping in there’s the CEO with a personal worth estimated at around £262 million, the executives on six figure salaries and the 1500 or so employees having their hourly rate set at the minimum wage to £11.44 an hour with the company having previously committed to paying the living wage at £12 per hour As I understand it the business in the uk has around 2,250 employees of whom approximately 1500 are paid at the lowest rate. If all of those 1500 earn an extra 56p per hour for a 40 hour week that would cost the company just under £1.75m p/a (1500 x 40 x 52 x 0.56). That’s peanuts to a company with a record breaking 2023 turn over of £320 million. I thought that many businesses profess that their employees were one of their most important assets but yeah, the wage cut for the lowest paid staff seems fair and reasonable and a positive and ethical way to invest in the future 🤔
  12. Craft beer giant Brewdog abandons real living wage for employees https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-scotland-67932569 That’s me done with Brewdog
  13. F**k the policyholders I say ! (statement not a suggestion)
  14. Alternatively, you can write to Ed at his home address at number 33
  15. I’ve no problem with people like Kevin Sinfield getting an honour but too many get them for just doing their extremely well paid job and/or toadying up to whichever politician holds sway at a given time Honours, if still relevant should be rare and for truly outstanding acts And I’ve no idea how British Empire Medals now fit with the present common view of the Empire’s past and its exploitative consequences
  16. Incoming - We are re-signing Ryan Bertrand on a 5 year contract
  17. Shower gel or bubble bath ?
  18. A lot of what were private vets practices have been bought up by private equity interests and are now run in conglomerates on a significantly more for profit basis than the partner based practices that they have replaced. Also, whilst there is insurance, there is no pet NHS so things need to be paid for on a cost plus profit basis. Vet practice overheads are pretty steep - building acquisition and running costs, business rates, nursing staff, admin staff, equipment overheads including expensive medical equipment, medicine and drug costs and vet salaries. And it is a popular misconception that vets themselves are the ones coining it. A newly qualified vet earns about £30,000 pa. I’m not sure how representative it is but I know a vet who earns around £50,000 pa after more than 20 years in practice. Good money yes but not compared to a gp or hospital doctor who will be earning more than double that at a similar stage of their career. To round up, the system is being milked by for profit big business but it’s not the person who spent 5/6 years of intense study, accruing significant personal debt (as University fee exemptions available to medical trainees do not apply) and who has typically gone into the profession because of their love of animals and interest in animal welfare who is to blame. Nor are they the ones benefitting from the profiteering.
  19. Going on what’s been said in here he sounds like a direct Praet replacement for the treatment table spot
  20. Tbf, if being injured meant you didn’t have to listen to Brendan’s pre and post match sermons and his half time non motivational clap trap I think I’d have thrown quite a few sickies
  21. Nice Golden Globes
  22. Fvckin cheats
