  1. I keep banging on and on, but those few who are prepared to stand up for their club - a pathetic 200 - need to relocate to the west stand as close to the (empty) director (singular!) box as possible and make their voices heard. I'll do it. 200 would be enough for this to look dramatic As for any future phoenix club, if only there was a practical way to ban the drongos from supporting the new club.
  2. Thought he played ok, again. Another steady 6/10 which is basically a 600% improvement on his work up until 10 games ago
  3. What's everyone's thoughts on his experimental 4231? Successive managers have used it for around 70 out of the last 73 games - of which we've lost around 65. Anyone else starting to think it's not serving us too well?
  4. I think most would go with your views and not mine tbf. Just think personally that - regardless of wage and expectation - when social media and the crowd keep kicking a man when he's down, it ain't gonna help matters
  5. Goes all the way back to Swansea, where we and he played reasonably well and was inexplicably dropped for his troubles. The crowd do have some responsibility too. As a supporter base, we need to differentiate between an honest player with shattered confidence and those who are garbage. He's not that good, but would've been far better with some TLC from coaches and crowd. I'd say Stolarcyk comes into this category now. He looks terrified in a way he didn't early season. He needs some support.
  6. Every time I see Middlesbrough it's just like, what? Second? Garbage. Good luck to Millwall
  7. Saw another one today @worth_the_wait !! It's getting like the west coast main line on there!
  8. I had an odd prolonged strain of cold a few weeks ago that didn't quite feel right. It used to be my favourite thread this. And despite this unusual cold and at its peak, quite a long spell of tinnitus thanks to it fcking up my sinuses, I'll never ever understand all the fuss and experimental drugs for a glorified sniffle. I kinda miss the unhinged outrage that type of comment used to spark. I wish I could remember his name but I used to send some real proper cleverdick poster berserk
  9. The least surprising news ever, the 02 at Leicester uni is closing.
  10. I'd say international money - I'll choose my words carefully as they've been removed before - moving around to disguise its tracks is the scourge of football....certainly our club
  11. Tbh, id say at least Soulsby gets things done. Albeit micro, incremental improvements. He's not a grand projet man. The county and borough councils are the fcking pain as they can't see a healthy city leads to a healthy county.
  12. Indeed. But isn't that what councils are there for. I'm sure the Curve and De.Mont are hassle. New Walk Museum. Bin collections
  13. ....which then begs another question. Leicester is officially the worst connected city in the UK. Why don't the council (maybe backed by the two unis) emulate Hull + lease some rolling stock and set up an open access operator connecting us to some big cities.
  14. Haha. Lovely! Which then begs the question why they service can't stop at Leicester?. I thought the basis was it'd have to reverse out to the Melton Peterborough line.. If the service came to Leicester instead of Grantham it'd connect us to Norwich, Manchester and Liverpool. Baffling.
  15. It's part the KP - Betting Company - Forex - Crypto MO. ....Money in, money out
  16. Yes, I'd say so. Something as opposed to somebody I reckon
  17. Or it could pull into a siding on the south, driver walks to the other end and reverses the direction. Would take 5 mins max. Happens all over the world
  18. Funny, I thought freight had all but stopped. I drive past that bridge almost every day at numerous times if day and used to see one, say, once a fortnight. Whereas today was the first time in a couple of years. Must just have been unlucky.. Can't for the life of me work out why a working track needs 350m on it tho, even allowing for the reinstalling of the north curve at saffron lane stadium
  19. Saw a freight (aggregate) train on the line today. It's been ages since I've seen activity on the line. Going over the bridge near fulhurst school. Clipping along at 30/40mph
  20. Handscomb seems the type of guy that might have even helped make some enquiries to set something up so as not to leave us up shit creek
  21. Just popped on radio 6 and, every now and then, you just hear something which you think,.wow. 1972 this FFS. What a groove. Staggering it's 55 years old
  22. Anybody ever call it mow-maker hill? Or is everyone mow-aker?
  23. Been a tremendous afternoon watching rugby. Tigers outstanding and then teo great games after.. Thought the villa park crowd was a bit underwhelming. I guess the organisers thought tigers would take many more. Instead it felt like a normal sized home and away Kingsholm crowd When City are shite,.it's actually really refreshing watching other sports. I remember doing the same 20 years ago in the mid 2000s. .
  24. Such a good point. And perhaps the only pro active thing that activist supporters can do is keep banging the drum on social media and wider media that the club is heading for bankruptcy - not as an alarmist panic but as a tactical move to send smoke signals to buyers. Think outside of our bubble for a while. If Leeds or West Ham or Forest or even Palace were about to go pop, the brand alone is enough for an organisation to come wading in.. I know our supporter base is third rate, but our brand isn't. We aren't an equivalent of Sheffield Wednesday or Derby or Portsmouth going bust - where nobody has heard of the clubs outside of UK. In terms of profile, we are much more Leeds and West Ham level.
