Harry - LCFC Posted 4 April 2015 Posted 4 April 2015 Funny how quickly "certain" relegation can be dismissed isn't it? I'm ecstatic. Lets keep going and lets keep getting behind the team. The noise lifted me today and I'm sure it did something for the players too.
The Doctor Posted 4 April 2015 Posted 4 April 2015 Was it ever "certain" with the run in we had? We're still running behind everyone else and need this to be the start of a second wind, but yeah, still certain this is going down to the last day.

I'm making as a friendly nod towards the people who thought we were dead and buried.
Guest kristianity77 Posted 4 April 2015 Posted 4 April 2015 Yep. As good as todays result is, if Sunderland win tomorrow then our win has pretty much counted for nowt in terms of closing the gap to safety. We still need a hell of a lot of results to go in our favour. We could probably do with Villa winning as well on Monday against QPR. Lesser of the two evils and all that!
AnotherShitSeason Posted 4 April 2015 Posted 4 April 2015 Just checked the ASS crystal ball We're still down.
The Doctor Posted 4 April 2015 Posted 4 April 2015 Just checked the ASS crystal ball We're still down. According to that we were going down last season, so I'll take that.
Weller in Tights Posted 4 April 2015 Posted 4 April 2015 Just checked the ASS crystal ball We're still down. Yeah you're probably right, but at least this drags the agony further and what is the love of your football team? It's the purest form of masochism. And hey, if we actually manage it, yeah yeah VERY unlikely, well how good will that feel??
foxfanazer Posted 4 April 2015 Posted 4 April 2015 It's not over until its over. At least we showed fight today and tried to play a bit. Oh and Cambiasso is god
Sir Shep Posted 4 April 2015 Posted 4 April 2015 Its a good feeling knowing we've won a game, trouble is we've not felt it often enough, I do really really really hope we can build on this, please!
DANGEROUS TIGER Posted 4 April 2015 Posted 4 April 2015 The two key points. We have to follow this up, and maintain it. We will still have to rely on other teams doing badly on the run in. It's a very slender chance, but it is a chance.

It's a very slender chance, but it is a chance. Yep. Definitely. I'm really pleased about today but we must, must push on. If we slip back into a sluggish performance next week that'll make it so much harder to keep the fight up. Momentum is important.
Guest Bilo Posted 4 April 2015 Posted 4 April 2015 Just checked the ASS crystal ball We're still down. Based on your record, I'm booking my hotel for our tie at the Bernabeu next season.
Matt Posted 4 April 2015 Posted 4 April 2015 I'm not gonna say to much but lets see what happens next week until we claim "we've turned a corner", "back in the hunt" (Bearing in mind it could be back to how we started before this afternoon come tomorrow). If we win next week and results go our way tomorrow/next week even I might be think we've got a glimmer of hope, todays good, we've starved off any extra pressure we've certainly kept ourselves within touching distance but like i've said if things don't go our way tomorrow we could be back to how it started prior to 3pm today. I've seen to many ups and downs with this club, to many false dawn's, i'm not gonna get excited at the moment, we need to build on this and call me a pessimist all you like but i'm sceptical as to if we can build on today. Today's great though, we needed it, we deserved it and we've kept ourselves in it, but most impressively? We gave it go, something i've been asking for weeks, I cannot ask for more than that.
MooseBreath Posted 4 April 2015 Posted 4 April 2015 If it was too early to say we were down then it's too early now to say survival is anything other than very unlikely. Sunderland win tomorrow and we're worse off than at the start of the weekend.
DB11 Posted 4 April 2015 Posted 4 April 2015 We're not "back in" we're the same as where we were before kick off, arguably worse with QPR improving their goal difference
Monsell1976 Posted 4 April 2015 Posted 4 April 2015 Not getting carried away, let's see after tomorrow's games, and if we can beat west brom and Swansea, if everything goes our way, I just might start to getting a bit of believe back.
DennisNedry Posted 4 April 2015 Posted 4 April 2015 Still very unlikely that we'll stay up, but at least it looks like we're going to give it a go.
Russell sprout Posted 4 April 2015 Posted 4 April 2015 Regardless of sunderlands result,we can only do what we can, hull and villa are dragged back on now, let's enjoy this result and hope it continues between now and may
Carlos88LCFC Posted 4 April 2015 Posted 4 April 2015 We're not "back in" we're the same as where we were before kick off, arguably worse with QPR improving their goal difference We are now 7 points off of 15th with a game in hand. The fight for survival has begun! The hunger and grit out players showed today was tremendous. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Doesn't really count for nothing if Sunderland do win. It's still 3 points on the board and it looks like 35 points will stay up maybe less. If we had lost and sunderland win tomorrow it would be game over. Our last 2 games are going to be huge. Sunderland and QPR if we can get a bit of a run going.
bovril Posted 4 April 2015 Posted 4 April 2015 Stranger things have happened. If results go our way tomorrow, 4 wins could do it. But this bomb scare defense will cost us ultimately.
Richard Posted 4 April 2015 Posted 4 April 2015 Next 3: West Brom (A), Swansea (H), Burnley (A). 6/7 points from those 3 and then we can talk about having a real chance of staying up
Bristol fox .... Posted 4 April 2015 Posted 4 April 2015 2 things i learnt from today, allbrighton and kramaric must play
