FOXES-BROWNBOY Posted 13 May 2015 Posted 13 May 2015 Ings has the potential to be better than Austin but would rather have Austin atm
4everfox Posted 13 May 2015 Posted 13 May 2015 Alex Pritchard looks the business I concur. I'd love us to go for Abou Diaby too.
J.Lisemore Posted 13 May 2015 Posted 13 May 2015 Not sure how much he's on a week but, we could do worse than Claudio Yacob. Argentine international, Prem experience and out of contract in the summer.

J.Lisemore Posted 13 May 2015 Posted 13 May 2015 Yeah so's Youssouf Mulumbu. Who for me is the better player and less of a loose cannon when it comes to red cards. True, always liked Mulumbu. Not sure on the attitude of these guys, but I'd throw them in the mix seeing as we now almost certainly need another centre-mid.
RizLCFC Posted 13 May 2015 Posted 13 May 2015 Out of contract PL players this summer http://www.squawka.com/news/penny-pinching-premier-league-players-available-on-a-free-this-summer/376025
J.Lisemore Posted 13 May 2015 Posted 13 May 2015 If we are going for Argentine players I'd rather have Lucas Romero. Plenty of question marks with a player like him though, still only a young lad at 21, unproven in European leagues, language barrier etc. Suppose what I'm saying is, it'd be more of a risk than the other 2 players mentioned.

Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 13 May 2015 Posted 13 May 2015 I concur. I'd love us to go for Abou Diaby too. Why?
ScouseFox Posted 13 May 2015 Posted 13 May 2015 What are we gonna do with all our other strikers if we sign Okazaki?
4everfox Posted 13 May 2015 Posted 13 May 2015 Why? When he is fit he is a seriously good player, depending on whether we can keep him injury free I think he would be a quality signing.
4everfox Posted 13 May 2015 Posted 13 May 2015 What are we gonna do with all our other strikers if we sign Okazaki? Wood will be gone leaving us with Kramaric, Okazaki, Ulloa, Vardy and Nugent. I'd be happy with that.
My Nads Posted 13 May 2015 Posted 13 May 2015 First thing is to re-sign Cambiasso and give him the captains armband. Sign Huth on a permanent deal, although now I fear he's going to cost a fair few quid, but he's got to be worth it. Shawcross (not much chance, I know, so an improvement on Morgan). Cresswell, Okazaki we were linked with. When Hull (probably) go down we should get Huddlestone in and Snodgrass, to replace Schlupp. I know it's harsh but, ball control and crossing ability are a must for a winger for me. Then we would just need a solid RB, maybe Trippier. We have a few too many Championship level players we could px or sell to put towards the cost of some new players. Also if Pirlo becomes available get him in too. He could share the load with Cambiasso or play along side him. They both have incredible professionalism, so age isn't important with players like them.
lgfualol Posted 13 May 2015 Posted 13 May 2015 Diaby would be too much of a risk. He gets injured getting out of bed.
My Nads Posted 13 May 2015 Posted 13 May 2015 My top two buys are both at the back; Huth (permanent) is a must and as you all know, I am a big fan of George Friend at Boro and we all seem to like Mings at Ipswich - one of them will lose out on promotion, so get recruiting now for our new Left Back. As for elsewhere, need reinforcement in Midfield, and if we wish to buy more new Strikers - if Ings was a possibility, I'd love him here - Austin can score goals but I get the impression that Danny Ings is a more grounded sort (perhaps I am wrong). Overseas recruitment will happen again and I wouldn't be surprised if we have another Cambiasso type deal up our sleeves. One request though Top, Vichai and Nigel - PLEASE don't approach things this summer like last time. I've always thought George Friend was good too. He'd be a solid signing. It's not my money, but I think Austin would cost too much and Ings is over rated and would cost too much! I trust Nige about Okazaki and they are reluctant to sell which is usually a good sign.
J.Lisemore Posted 13 May 2015 Posted 13 May 2015 Beggars belief that people would actually want Abou Diaby. I can't remember the last time he played football and neither can he.
conLAD logan Posted 13 May 2015 Posted 13 May 2015 What are we gonna do with all our other strikers if we sign Okazaki?Same thing I was thinking, can see wood leaving and potentially nugent if we sign Okazaki, who according to 'Scouts in attendance' on Twitter seem to think we've watched him the last 3 or so games.
ScouseFox Posted 13 May 2015 Posted 13 May 2015 Wood will be gone leaving us with Kramaric, Okazaki, Ulloa, Vardy and Nugent. I'd be happy with that. yeah you'd be happy with it, but would any of our three record signings be happy on the bench? and the way we're going atm two of them would have to make do with 20 mins between them each game. or are we sacking off probably our best player for the past 3 months? not a chance in hell can we keep ulloa, kramaric, okazaki & vardy all happy and playing.
Stevosevic Posted 13 May 2015 Posted 13 May 2015 We might continue to play 3 forwards so those 5 strikers and Mahrez would fight for those places.

Ings is out of contract. And further up the page you said along the lines of 'It's harsh but we need to replace Schlupp'. Definitely don't agree with this. Yes, we need another LB. Konchesky is unfortunately no longer good enough for us, and we need someone fresher in. But a replacement for Schlupp? Nah. It's easy for us to get carried away and say we want x, y and z all to sign for us, with them all magically bedding into the squad and having an instant impact, but the fact is it just isn't going to happen. Wholesale changes are the 'way forward' seen by an increasing number of clubs, and time and time again we see it fail to pay off. I'd much, much rather we kept the majority of our players (who, lets not forget, after some time to settle have now proved that they're well up for the PL) and allowed the younger ones to carry on developing with us than pay over-the-odds for a player who may or may not make it here. Schlupp has done fantastically well this season, and is (in my eyes) a shoe in for YPOTY, so to immediately replace him with someone else is very, very harsh. Bring in someone to challenge him for the position, but not as an outright replacement. He's a frustrating player at times, but he's also a joy to watch when he does things right, and a nightmare for defenders. He'll iron out his inconsistencies with experience, and we've already seen him starting to adapt better to his new LWB role. He's won us far more points than he's lost (either by direct involvement or simply occupying other players), and he's earnt his place in the XI.
st albans fox Posted 13 May 2015 Posted 13 May 2015 Bale will be available - scapegoat for a poor season by RM standards ...........
