cc_star Posted 14 May 2015 Posted 14 May 2015 Need more quality, defence in particular whether we go with a 4 or a 3 at the back. Need more in midfield. There is no way we could play a full season at this speed without rotation. Not to mention our lack of a DM cost us throughout the season
Richmondfox Posted 14 May 2015 Posted 14 May 2015 We don't need squad players coming in, we need better starting 11 players so that way the squad improves from the front. I would stay away from players from relegated teams, Fer, Caulker have been relegated twice. Elmohamady is quick and plays wingback but he is a cheat, will be an embarrassment to the club and not a Nigel type of player. Ings has shown no fight and poor character since being linked to Liverpool Snodgrass has had a season long injury and not played for a year. Schlupp has played almost every game, has a years Prem experience having impressed a lot of pundits and no one can deny that he hasn't improved greatly and adds to the team. We don't have to be dipping into the championship for players, we can aim for stronger leagues. Huth. He has brought out the best in Wes/Was. Mahrez/Kram behind two of Ulloa/Vardy/Okazaki. Vardy will need to let his foot heal fully over the summer so might have a slow start to next season. Another CM is a must. Danny seems to improve with confidence, he needs one of his long shots to hit the back of the net. A player I would like to see at the club but he has an injury is Kadrii Bashkim. Plays LW and also LB for FC Copenhagen. Really quick, skilful and can shoot with both feet.
Max Power Posted 14 May 2015 Posted 14 May 2015 Ben Mee has impressed me this season for Burnley and was one of the few Sven era players I would have liked to keep. Wouldn't be a bad choice to add to our defence in place of Koncheskey. We also seemingly need a new CM if James is out for next season. Then 1 extra striker to replace Wood and 1 more creative midfielder to replace Knockeart. That's 4 players + Huth. Maybe another goalkeeper if Hamer leaves. Mee could play left of a back three as well. Think we need at least two centre backs, and one of them to be left sided.
desertfox2 Posted 14 May 2015 Posted 14 May 2015 https://youtu.be/Y_GUKgr3ovson a free we should definitely try to get him in.

Correct me if I'm wrong but I seem to remember that Kadrii sometimes plays ST as well so he's definitely got versatility
Lovejoy Posted 14 May 2015 Posted 14 May 2015 Patrick Banggard of FC Midtjylland, little left of field, but looks a very promising centre back. Let's not forget that our current back 3 are ageing and he's 21. Perhaps if Hull sink, Robertson too?
Benguin Posted 14 May 2015 Posted 14 May 2015 What about approaching Real and negotiating a loan deal for Martin Odegaurd or whatever he's called? He's a long way off first team football there and their reserves offer no where near as much as the premier league.
GeorgeTheFox Posted 14 May 2015 Posted 14 May 2015 Wahib Khazri of Bordeaux. I don't really know why but I like the lad
sylofox Posted 14 May 2015 Posted 14 May 2015 I dont know if this post is serious or not? A, we all know Cambiasso is captain anyway, he dont need an armband, real leaders dont. B, Huth would cost no more money now than he would have had at the start of his loan C, Huddlestone is a total liabilty, Person will not touch him in a million years, Snodgrass is little more than a championship player, so why would we px one of our other so called championship players for him? D, Trippier puts in a lot of crosses, but is he really any better a defender that de laet, hardly, besides, Albrighton has been cracking at rwb E, Pirlo, you are kidding right? You think a cm partnership of Cambiasso and Pirlo would ever work in a million years? What we need to do is, sign Huth, 2.5 - 3 mil would buy him, depends what other offers he gets, get Cambiasso on another year, again depends what other offers he gets, both of these guys can pretty much choose thier future. after that, we have to make quality signings, I trust Pearson, Rudkin and the rest of scouting team have already got targets lined up and I trust them to make quality editions not pick the bones 8f relegated teams. And if anyone mentions Caulker again I will scream. I think you will find he will as no agreement was made Hughes wanted him to go out and get fit. He was always going back to Stoke as he said last week it is not upto him or Leicester. He's a Stoke player and it is there choice what happens next season.
Rasmic123 Posted 14 May 2015 Posted 14 May 2015 Trippier, Austin, Huth and a centre mid would do for me!
goose2010 Posted 14 May 2015 Posted 14 May 2015 Sam Byran and Alex Mowatt from Leeds two class young English players would be cheap enough and could make the step up
eddylcfc Posted 14 May 2015 Posted 14 May 2015 My picks: Okazaki- pacey finisher. We need a backup/ someone to push Vardy. If he starts the season slowly next year or gets an injury, we'll feel the effects for sure. Jose Enrique- coming back from a long term injury. Solid, quick, rated very highly by a lot of Liverpool fans. A player to monitor if they sign Alberto Moreno permanently. Huth- a must buy. All that needs to be said has been said in this thread. Virgil van Dijk- maybe out of the realms of possibility. Highly rated and has been on Arsenal's radar for a while. We need a young centre half. I can see Nigel going back in for the highly rated Croatian chap however. To complete the buys, I'd be looking at a youthful, up-and-coming centre midfielder. Someone who can play box to box and bring that added quality. Yuri Tielemans is completely unrealistic, but someone in that mould. So 5 players to build on what we have already. Moreno was signed permanently last summer and Liverpool fans I know can't wait to see the back of Enrique and from what I've seen he's slow and lethargic. I would much rather schlupp

Now Hughes has to decide whether to keep him or not. Personally, I think he'd be daft to let him go. Then again Stoke are a strong side who don't concede many goals. Fingers crossed.
The Guvnor Posted 15 May 2015 Posted 15 May 2015 Micah Richards said he wants to return to the prem, Man City don't want him and surely worth an enquiry

He's a long way off first team football there and their reserves offer no where near as much as the premier league. Short term solution and may be a bit lightweight for prem at the moment. If prefer us to buy someone like wahbi khazri.

It might mean spending a bit over the odds, but we know for sure he works in our team and that's surely worth a bit of extra wedge... They might not want to let him go, but we must be in a position to tempt them...
Guest Posted 15 May 2015 Posted 15 May 2015 Great player. Raving about him at Bordeaux even comparing him to Zidane I haven't heard that. Don't think the French compare anyone to Zidane - he's their cambiasso God. Don't think Bordeaux will be selling either. They're in discussions with a rich Indian to buy the team.

Finn Claw II Posted 15 May 2015 Posted 15 May 2015 Matt Mills and Beckford have been released, bring them home....

They're in discussions with a rich Indian to buy the team. I lived there for a while and im still in contact with a few bordeaux fans just repeating what they said. They do worship Zidane for his 4 years there and the world cup. Hence any good young player gets compared to him. They have always sold their best players. The right offer came along they would sell. He won't be on a big wage at Bordeaux either.
brookeslcfc Posted 15 May 2015 Posted 15 May 2015 Trippier, Mings, Austin, Huth (Perm), Curtis Davies. Also, Bakary Sako, love his style. Could do a job on the wing!!!
themistocles Posted 15 May 2015 Posted 15 May 2015 Huth not in Hughes' plans next season , he wants a ball playing CB so only way he'll play is displacing shawcross, which isnt going to happen. 3-5 mill most probably and he'll be a Leicester player
Gerard Posted 15 May 2015 Posted 15 May 2015 Matt Mills and Beckford have been released, bring them home.... That was £8,000,000 well spent
