martyn Posted 16 May 2015 Posted 16 May 2015 Guess I'm in a minority but would take Ings over Austin. Think his style of play suits us better Tricky to identify targets now as genuinely not sure if we will line up as a back 3 or 4 OR interchange between the 2 but would say the following are neeeded. Left Back/left wingback 2 Centre Backs (Huth being one) Mobile, defensive minded midfielder Pacey forward who is comfortable when playing out wide.

MC Prussian Posted 16 May 2015 Posted 16 May 2015 Van Der Vaart in the number 10 role, decent. If we can get a hold of Huth, he'd make an excellent part of our back four alongside Jansen. Beide Sie sprechen Deutsch, ja. Not so sure about Van Der Vaart, but I sense at 32 years of age, he'd fancy one last challenge in his sportive career. And he's decent, too. And his former wife is Sylvie Meis (look her up on Google, she's a top bird).
GeorgeTheFox Posted 16 May 2015 Posted 16 May 2015 Cambiasso Huuuuth First team CB (I like the look of Rudiger) Young CB LWB to compete with Jazzy Jeff CDM - I like Krychowiak but only recently joined his team Wahib Khazri STRIKER A man can dream...

VDV on a free would be a great deal. 32yo, so him and Cambiasso might not have the longevity required, but with Drinky showing some form and King looking the business, that would be a very tidy midfield, with James returning hopefully in 2016
thegaffa Posted 16 May 2015 Posted 16 May 2015 Micah Richards Just a suggestion and forgetting his injuries, think we should sign him as he could be a good free transfer for us. He is strong and quick, good in the air and a good tackler who likes to get forward when he's played at right back, he is also comfortable at cb so he could add some key qualities to our defence.
Bryn Posted 16 May 2015 Posted 16 May 2015 I want another athletic midfielder to be honest. They're hard to come by but unearth a proper athlete who's also good technically and you're on to a winner.
lgfualol Posted 16 May 2015 Posted 16 May 2015 From my expert scouting (and watching two of his games on loan at Fiorentina) he look miles off the pace. In one game he may as well have been walking back towards goal before the opposition scored from his side. He might be the opposite playing for us though.
Stevosevic Posted 16 May 2015 Posted 16 May 2015 Might be ok with the Nige factor, still a good age and has ability but it depends if he wants it enough anymore
thegaffa Posted 16 May 2015 Posted 16 May 2015 Not sure wages would be a big issue to be fair as, I know he is determined to be a regular premier league starter and with him being from Birmingham and having family in leicester it could sway him, if big Nigel is interested.
Tuna Posted 16 May 2015 Posted 16 May 2015 Leroy Fer would be spot on. 2 relegations in a row, don't think so.
Stevosevic Posted 16 May 2015 Posted 16 May 2015 He knows he won't get his Man City wages anywhere else
Bettsj2 Posted 16 May 2015 Posted 16 May 2015 Huth and Camby obv. 2 x central defenders 1 x LB 2 x cm
Guest Mee-9 Posted 16 May 2015 Posted 16 May 2015 A new manager please. Pearson's had a shocker, everyone knows the real hero of this season is Mike Stowell. Without that bloke we'd be nowhere.
Blanchy Posted 16 May 2015 Posted 16 May 2015 2 relegations noted but Fer would not be solely responsible for that. Good player, good engine and can finish.
GeorgeTheFox Posted 16 May 2015 Posted 16 May 2015 Im not the biggest fan of Fer but it is not his fault that he plays in a team with Clint Hill at left back
Guest LCFC_World Posted 16 May 2015 Posted 16 May 2015 Now that were safe, we can actually talk about realistic signings Robert Huth - I would say he deserves a lot of credit for us staying up... #1 priority until he signs ... A strong ball winning midfielder, someone similar to Fer or Toure.. Maybe even Fer if he has the right attitude? A new winger... A replacement for Knockaert. A new CB to add competition. Cambiasso new deal
