Babylon Posted 10 May 2015 Posted 10 May 2015 You don't quite get humour do you? Hopefully QPR is a totally pointless fixture as far as staying up goes. We beat Sunderland, We're safe, QPR already relegated. Knocky to play and say farewell. Neither do you by the looks of it ha.
Jimmyh Posted 10 May 2015 Posted 10 May 2015 Just like we beat West Brom, Burnley and Sunderland at home at a canter... Sunderland game was 0-0
Guest Posted 10 May 2015 Posted 10 May 2015 Neither do you by the looks of it ha. That's fair enough then.
PaulW Posted 10 May 2015 Posted 10 May 2015 They haven't met anybody playing like us for a l-o-n-g time! As long as we get at them.......
separator Posted 10 May 2015 Posted 10 May 2015 Kevin Philips article for the local rag in Sunderland, unsurprisingly staying on the fence for this one. http://www.chroniclelive.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/sunderland-vs-leicester-city-dead-9224414
Lasty Posted 11 May 2015 Posted 11 May 2015 As it's away, it'll be tough, tight and downright nerve-wracking. I do feel that we're the better side but this may be countered a little by their crowd and the fact a draw is probably (a little bit) better for us than them. That said, if we keep cool heads and don't sit back I see no reason why we can't win this.
st albans fox Posted 11 May 2015 Posted 11 May 2015 I think we go for it (as opposed to burnley where we tried to manage the game) We may have enough points already. If it goes wrong we might have to beat qpr The best policy will be to play the same way we have at home the past three games
whitlock Posted 11 May 2015 Posted 11 May 2015 They're throwing in t-shirts again. All we need is a Rachel thread and ASS predicting a defeat and it's a guaranteed comfortable win. We do have some cracking owners. Might be short change to them, but still - classy
Kitchandro Posted 11 May 2015 Posted 11 May 2015 Agreed. Last away match was Burnley, and we were far from convincing. I think our best chance of winning would be to just carry on as we have been at home - quick out the blocks and hope that we're in the lead before we run out of steam. A draw would be a good result, I think. There's no 'think' about it, that IS our best chance of winning. I'll be absolutely horrified if we make the mistake of being negative again. It's pretty much the only thing that can send us down.
lgfualol Posted 11 May 2015 Posted 11 May 2015 I'd like Drinkwater in the James obviously, and the rest of the team unchanged. I really like Vardy, Mahrez & Ulloa attacking.
slymunn Posted 11 May 2015 Posted 11 May 2015 Where in Sunderland are people drinking pre match? Coming up from Pontefract and getting the bus from Leeds. Be nice to spend time with other fans once I get there!
Jobyfox Posted 11 May 2015 Posted 11 May 2015 I think that anyone predicting that the game will be easy should think again. Our recent run has been fantastic, but Swansea, Southampton, West Brom and West Ham didn’t have so much to play for as we did. We lost to Chelsea and beat a Newcastle team, which is in genuinely poor form. The one time we came up against a genuine relegation rival (although you could argue that Newcastle now are) was Burnley away and we needed the rub of the green. I think Sunderland away could be similar to the Burnley game. I have this uncomfortable feeling that Nigel may want to play Hammond in the midfield with Drinky and Cambiasso. That means that one of the front three will drop to the bench. We could still win, but I think that would be handing the initiative back to Sunderland. As long as the players are fit enough we should throw the kitchen sink at them and see where it takes us.
SunderMan Posted 11 May 2015 Posted 11 May 2015 They give thousands away to kids and anyone else who would turn up because the TV is crap that Saturday afternoon. Go into Sunderland Asda and they regularly have spend £10 and get a free ticket offer. You have either been misinformed or talking absolute rubbish. Probably both.I've lived in Sunderland for 26 years and I've never heard of Asda giving away tickets to Sunderland matches. But I'm sure you know better than me. I've been spending £400+ for a season ticket all these years when I could have got a match ticket every week with my weekly shop. No the wonder I'm broke! Also, I'm not going to come on here and start comparing crowd sizes as that's too 'Newcastle' for me, but the way a lot of you are going on on here absolutely stinks of an inferiority complex. Don't mind leicester, I quite like to see small clubs overachieve every now and again, but let's not get carried away here, your still Leicester City not Barcelona. Anyway, good luck for the rest of the season and I hope you stay up, just not at our expense. Also, if you could keep those tin-pot, plastic clappers at home this weekend that would be fantastic. They're tacky, absolutely embarrassing and have no place in the premier league or English football for that matter, Thanks.

Don't give a damn about any of that tbh, your team is shit though.

lgfualol Posted 11 May 2015 Posted 11 May 2015 Going on the Sunderland forum is so funny. They remind me of Stoke fans earlier on in the season.
lcfcliam Posted 11 May 2015 Posted 11 May 2015 Off their forum: How the hell are any of those 3 examples of "luck" viable in any way Pazzerfox is on the ball mind I'd love us to beat Sunderland. They have had so much luck in the last 2 games, it's unbelievable. Don't let Defoe shoot and we will be fine! Like his shitty tinpot club have had no luck lately Vardy 90min winner win WBA King late winner v West Ham Burnley missing a pen mainly due to player losing footing when about to strike the ball theybreak away and score Thick bastard Read more: http://www.readytogo.net/smb/threads/the-leicester-lads-are-confident.1075054/#ixzz3Zq2Q6k7K

Nothing a Leicester fan could ever say about Sunderland will touch a nerve, believe me. The difference is I know were shit, as do most Sunderland fans. I just find it funny how much this little run of form has went to your heads. It will be a tough game this weekend, as we can't deal with pace very well, but how easy you lot seem to think it will be is very interesting.

I spent 3 years up there - friendly people but the area is an utter dump for the most part. Also, they give away thousands of tickets for free to students. I'm well aware Leicester dish a few out but plenty of people were actually turning free tickets down for the Liverpool game last year. Great crowds nontheless because the football you play (which I used to watch a bit) is absolute dog. Great scenes for the cup final in the city centre mind, aside from a woman glassing some bloke with a pint glass.

Let's not get into who's City is the best debate, I mean Leicester is hardly Rome now is it? Yes your right, schools and students do get some free tickets, how many I'm not quite sure. Not as many as Asda obviously.
