Sunderland away...... this is it!

Number one, we will walk this. Have you seen our form? Number two, we are pretty much safe already. There will be little pressure. Yes I know mathematically is is not finished, but, have you seen our form? 17 goals in 8 games. 4 clean sheets in 5 games. 6 wins in 7 games. That's not "great escape" form. That's league title form.

It was interesting to see the body language of some of the Hull players at the final whistle. Heads down, one or two with hands on their heads.

Burnley at home when you're in a relegation battle is, without wishing to be too disrespectful to them, an enormous opportunity to get yourself three points closer to safety.

They blew that opportunity and they know it. It's going to take a herculean effort to get enough points from the last two games to catch us you'd expect. Their inferior goal difference means they need a win and a draw from Spurs away and Man United at home to beat our current 37 points total, as well as relying on us losing both games.

Let's make no mistake about this, Hull need something special to survive now and it's not easy to see them finding it.

We are 40/1 to get relegated for a reason. So its not likely.

Hull need to find 3 but more than likely 4 more points than us over the last two games to overtake us (because of GD)

Newcastle need to find 2 points more than us over the remaining games (also, because of GD)

Sunderland need to find 2 points more than us as well (because of GD)

Also, its not that one of the above has to happen, ALL of them has to happen for us to go down.

This really is the game for no fear, we must play like the Devils after our skins and show no mercy ... Win every tackle, every point and have no regrets at the end ... 3 points and nothing less ... the end is in sight and in our own destiny ... Do It!

Fixed.

Advocaat has got them organised and they are working hard so I don't think it will be an easy game at all. They don't have much of a goal threat but you only need a bit of luck like a deflection or a dodgy pen to get a goal.

They were defending pretty deep today but were organised, hopefully we bring our shooting boots because I don't think we will be allowed to walk it in.

Wouldn't be surprised at all if it is 1-0 to someone.

I have watched them win three games and they look poor for the most part. It's just that the opposition have looked worse. How Everton did not score today is beyond me? Also, against Southampton they were so casual at the back and one of their players even back heeled the ball to the opposition in their own box which led to a shot on goal. I'm almost certain if  we play the same way we will win. Having said that I'm sure they will turn up in a game sooner than later, let's hope it isn't against us.

We even managed a point against them at home, when we were in the midst of that 11 game run without a win

I hate Sunderland, such a sh*t team with a sh*t set-up. Absolute borefest of a club.

Yeah I'm sure they think so much more of us.

The fans up there might walk out when the going gets tough, but they have been served up some utter shite year in year out for quite some time.

We've been lucky with our owners and Pesrson as we've had consistency. But you I'm pretty sure you along with others were slating them a few games ago.

They are in some decent form and it will be another tough game away from home. Hopefully Hull screw up and we can play out a draw between us.

I hate goalless draws but I'd happily take this. Sunderland have been shit this season and how we've been performing recently, we should be able to beat them. However as i say would take a point.

It really won't be an easy game. They're gonna be just as up for it as we are.

However with our recent performances I'd expect something out of it

Yeah ok.

I want to go for a win but would take a draw right now.

Sunderland aren't anything to fear unless we field any under 16s. They lost 8-0 this season and have generally been boring the premiership to tears for the last few years.

Number one... It's a one off game between two sides who are confident at present, and who need to win.

Number two..see number one.

Who would have predicted City winning 6 of the last 7 games?

In the same way, the Sunderland game cannot be predicted. It will be won by the team who wants it more on the day.

Will be interesting to see what tactics Nigel adopts. I personally hope we don't change a thing and play as if it was a home game, up and at them from the off. Sunderland will be desperate to win this having to play Chelsea and Arsenal away for their last two games has to be the hardest run in from any of the relegation candidates.

Our players looked knackered in the last 10 minutes today with a few appearing to be carrying knocks. Hope they have one last big effort in them.

Well I really hope our team don't read this kind of stuff. Ok we're on a great run in which we've played sides mainly "on the beach". We are NOT pretty much safe already. Every side at the bottom is fighting for everything it can get.

There will be a huge amount of pressure for both sides.  For most of the season we've been poor and only in the last few weeks have we finally realised we've needed to up our game.

This will be a very hard match. They won't give us the space we enjoyed against Newcastle nor will they try and pass their way our of their own penalty area like Southampton today. They will be physical and determined. We need to win but it isn't a given.

There are a few things that concern me:

a) It's an away match, and we haven't dominated anyone away from home all season, our 4 wins have all been by 1 goal and I can't say we were clearly the better team in any of them.

b) We are picking up injuries and we have kept an unchanged side quite a lot recently. Will the likes of Vardy and Albrighton be able to keep going? And will Nugent and King be fully fit because it looks like James is out for the season.

We've been given an easy ride the last 2 matches, prior to that we were blitzed by Chelsea and struggled to overcome a lively but useless Burnley. Sunderland are the best side we'll have played away since Spurs, don't think it will be easy.

Hardly a shock when a few planks are acting like billy big bollocks on here.

True lol let's hope we don't lose else it could be very embarrassing.

Still fun to wind people up though.

I agree with you to a certain extent because some of the posts in here that think we'll walk it are ridiculous but being a tad sensitive don't you think?
