Swanseafan Posted 16 May 2015 Posted 16 May 2015 You have been on a great run and deserve to be staying up.......see you at the liberty next season.
foxes_rule1978 Posted 16 May 2015 Posted 16 May 2015 Thank you indeed, great to be staying up and playing you boys again next season...
Mark_w Posted 16 May 2015 Posted 16 May 2015 Oh God we've got to go back to the Liberty. What a miserable game that was this season.
One Legged Beaver Posted 16 May 2015 Posted 16 May 2015 Cheers, not too bad a season you've had yourself Monk Manager of the season for me!
foxes_rule1978 Posted 16 May 2015 Posted 16 May 2015 Oh God we've got to go back to the Liberty. What a miserable game that was this season. Yep, one of only a few games we did actually get outplayed for the whole match... hopefully be more up to the task in the same fixture next season
iancognito Posted 16 May 2015 Posted 16 May 2015 Cheers, not too bad a season you've had yourself Monk Manager of the season for me! Yep, I'd agree with that. There's only Monk, Koeman and our Nige in the running for that one. Monk's shown that you don't nmeed to be Johnny Foreigner or a 'name' to be a success if you play the right way. See you next season
Guest LCFC_World Posted 16 May 2015 Posted 16 May 2015 That was the worst away of the season for me.. Saying that the reverse fixture must have been the worst away for you

Rincewind Posted 16 May 2015 Posted 16 May 2015 I thought so too.. Going on how the judges will think. Would be nice to see Pearson do it for the Houdini trick.
Carl the Llama Posted 16 May 2015 Posted 16 May 2015 If we finish outside of the bottom 5, which it looks like we will (!!!) NIge is a great shout for MOTY. I reckon on balance Koeman's probably the most deserving though.
weller54 Posted 16 May 2015 Posted 16 May 2015 I lived in Swansea for a few years, my mum was from there.. So they're my second team!.. Great to see them doing so well.. Well ran, good honest manager too... Hope we can replicate their success.
Bob Weasel Fox Posted 16 May 2015 Posted 16 May 2015 Great season for both teams in the end Up the Foxes!!!!!
The Year Of The Fox Posted 17 May 2015 Posted 17 May 2015 Cheers. i like Swansea as a town and club so good to see you doing so well
Big_Nige Posted 17 May 2015 Posted 17 May 2015 Seansea = benchmark. We'll run, good football and won a cup. Now battling for top 6/7. If in 3 or 4 more seasons we can be doing that too ill be very happy
The Bear Posted 17 May 2015 Posted 17 May 2015 Also just wanted to say congratulations on staying up. A quite monumental feat considering where you were a couple of months ago. 6 wins in 8 is the something you never see from a team in the bottom half, never mind rock bottom. You deserve to stay up because of that run. I'd still bin Pearson personally if I were your owners. IMO from the outside looking in you stayed up despite him not because of him and his mentalness is only going to cause more problems in the future. Maybe that season as Robson's assistant at WBA when they did their "great escape" with 34 points had some bearing though.

Number 6 Posted 17 May 2015 Posted 17 May 2015 If a new manager had come in when the sacked rumours circulated and the season panned out the same, then I'd expect the new man would be touted for manager of the year. Bit similar to Pulis last season. For that reason I'd expect Nige to be a candidate. Probably give it to Monk myself. Him and Koemann have been great and both deserving of any awards.

Pearson should be in the running especially if we manage a 13th/14th place finish... even at the start of the season I never thought we would finish that high, never mind being bottom by 7 points at the beginning of April

"From the outside looking in" = how could you possibly know? Don't need me to tell you that those on the inside will disagree with that. Would the players have continued to turn in such spirited performances for him if he was the source of all problems? I highly doubt it. He played his role in our struggles for sure, but I dare say he played a gigantic role in our revival too.
The Bear Posted 17 May 2015 Posted 17 May 2015 Well yeah obviously I'm in no place to judge! You could easily say why weren't the players playing for him in the same way in mid-season after the adrenaline wore off after your early run? It's the players that have got you out of it IMO. That and a decent run in. He's definitely a nutjob though. And yes, I am flexible enough thanks.....
