One Legged Beaver Posted 8 January 2016 Posted 8 January 2016 Newcastle would be in much better shape if they hadn't sacked him. It's hardly like sacking him is what destroyed Newcatle. Ashley would still have run them into the ground, plus they got into Europe the season after him leaving. Besides he took over at Norwich, spent a tonne of money and got them relegated!
LCFC FOX Posted 8 January 2016 Posted 8 January 2016 Enjoy Brighton https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jTNproOH0sw I was there that night, that moment was truly amazing
Fox92 Posted 8 January 2016 Posted 8 January 2016 Thanks Pearson for ruining this guys career with us!!!... Good lucky Knocky.. Hopefully Chris Hughton will respect you a lot better! You mean Pearson the man who found him and bought him here? Things didn't work out here, Knockaert didn't look good enough when he featured (don't go to many games do you?), so he moved on. Albrighton and Mahrez are better players. Simple.
Dan Posted 10 January 2016 Posted 10 January 2016 That video is fvcking superb. Football needs more like him.
Tuna Posted 10 January 2016 Posted 10 January 2016 Cardiff City fans demanding Slade's sacking and replaced by a certain Mr. N. Pearson of Sheffield.
Fox92 Posted 11 January 2016 Posted 11 January 2016 I don't watch them every week like their fans but from an external view they are only four points off the play offs.
HowardsBulletHeader Posted 11 January 2016 Posted 11 January 2016 I don't watch them every week like their fans but from an external view they are only four points off the play offs.Neither do I, but a quick look at their away form is not pretty reading. (W2,D5,L5) is the (joint) least of anyone inside the top 19 positions in the table (assuming my maths is right). Only MK Dons, Rotherham, Bristol, Charlton and Bolton have worse and they are the bottom 5 in the league. Have only won once away from home since the end of August (against lowly cash strapped Bolton). Home form though is fairly solid, as you'd expect, always a tough place to go.
Fox92 Posted 11 January 2016 Posted 11 January 2016 Always thought Slade was a strange appointment anyway. Did well at Yeovil and Leyton Orient, that's about it, probably not a second division manager.
Dan Posted 11 January 2016 Posted 11 January 2016 I can't believe you'd stick with Slade when Pearson is available. I don't like Tan in the slightest but he seems to have calmed it a bit. Might be the one for NP.
Tuna Posted 11 January 2016 Posted 11 January 2016 'Advisor to the board' at Bolton Wanderers is none other than out sacked former DOF Terry Robinson.
AjcW Posted 12 January 2016 Posted 12 January 2016 'Advisor to the board' at Bolton Wanderers is none other than out sacked former DOF Terry Robinson. Haa that might explain why we haven't got involved in the fire sale! Thought Zach Clough would have been a good shout, similar hype around him to Gray and Everton apparently after him. Desperate dans Bristol City made a bid for him yesterday but he rejected them like everyone else has this season
The Fox Covert Posted 13 January 2016 Posted 13 January 2016 Had anyone else noticed who comes to the top if you google for serial Championship manager Colin W@nker?
Alf Bentley Posted 13 January 2016 Posted 13 January 2016 Would be interesting to get Lamby's take on this one: http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/35300704?ns_mchannel=social&ns_campaign=bbc_match_of_the_day&ns_source=facebook&ns_linkname=sport Charlton players to reimburse all fans who went to their 5-0 defeat at Huddersfield.
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 13 January 2016 Posted 13 January 2016 more karel vorderman than karel fraeye
chrishlcfc Posted 14 January 2016 Posted 14 January 2016 Derby only taken 2 points from last 9 on offer,I'm going to wee myself the amount of pound notes they have spent and they end up losing in the play offs again.
Wymsey Posted 14 January 2016 Posted 14 January 2016 Cotterill sacked. Don't know who out there who is free would be better than him. Can see Evans getting the chop next.
Soar Fox Posted 14 January 2016 Posted 14 January 2016 Cotterill sacked. Don't know who out there who is free would be better than him. . Are you an ostrich??
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 14 January 2016 Posted 14 January 2016 Can see Evans getting the chop next. Why? He's actually doing a reasonable enough job there.
Dan Posted 15 January 2016 Posted 15 January 2016 Probably due to who their owner is. Evans is a good manager. He does well everywhere he goes.
AjcW Posted 15 January 2016 Posted 15 January 2016 Strange going on at Bristol City this season, mates a fan there and he just cant work it all out. - Made some crazy bids for players... most of which resulted in players laughing at them. - Couldn't even convince Zach Clough to leave somewhere he hasn't been paid for 4 months. - After making several 8 and 9 million pound bids for various strikers... end up completing deal for player from french fourth division on a free. - Have had various bits of the stadium missing for a year and a half now, poor planning with ground redevelopment, can't have helped atmosphere etc. (amazing really given their owner is a property developer!) - Don't have enough players to have more than 5 subs in games, one of which being a goalkeeper. I'm at a loss as to why players wouldn't want to go there, the chance to be paid good money to live in a cracking city and play for a club who should be in the Premier League with the right management. Bristol in general (both clubs) is astounding, the fact that a city that size with a catchment area not involving many clubs not having a team in the Premier League is crazy. Whispers from Brizzle fans are that although they're making crazy transfer bids, wages offered to players aren't matching up. Interesting really, anyway.... Pearson, Appleton and Tissdale favourites to take over.
MC Prussian Posted 15 January 2016 Posted 15 January 2016 Cardiff City are put under a transfer embargo: http://www.bbc.com/sport/0/football/35325391 Vincent Tan's Last Dance?
Fox92 Posted 15 January 2016 Posted 15 January 2016 Don't rate Cotterill as a second division manager but that's a bit harsh considering he got them promoted.
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 15 January 2016 Posted 15 January 2016 should be in the Premier League with the right management. Na. Theres about 40 sides that seem to think this garbage. What constitutes a side that "should be" in the premier league?
