Fox92 Posted 29 January 2016 Posted 29 January 2016 I'd be surprised If Middlesbrough don't win the league now.
Brooksy Posted 29 January 2016 Posted 29 January 2016 Jordan Rhodes - £9m Jamie Vardy N'Golo Kante Riyad Mahrez Christian Fuchs Wes Morgan Danny Drinkwater Marc Albrighton = £9m
LCFC FOX Posted 30 January 2016 Posted 30 January 2016 And the end of the day Rhodes will score goals and get them promoted. They're top of the league and an easy risk to take for them imo. If it was Derby it'd be a risk! If they fail again this season surely they're close to failing FFP and will get an embargo?
Hollism Posted 30 January 2016 Posted 30 January 2016 Who does everyone think will beat Derby in the play off final? Sheff Wednesday perhaps need to step up a bit. If it's Burnley vs Derby in the final, I think I'll be sick.
Hollism Posted 30 January 2016 Posted 30 January 2016 Potentially in 16/17, there could be Derby Forest Wolves Birmingham City Villa Walsall Burton Albion Coventry West Brom All in the championship
Fox92 Posted 30 January 2016 Posted 30 January 2016 West Brom won't go down and I think only one of Coventry or Walsall will go up (Gillingham are strong and currently in second), but I take your point Hollism. Villa v Birmingham in the second tier
Hollism Posted 30 January 2016 Posted 30 January 2016 Yeah it's hypothetical. Of course there's no way they'll all be there next year. Agree with you and I reckon it'll be Burton and Walsall for the top two. Assuming there's no miracle at Villa and Derby fvck it up, that's still 7 Midlands teams.
Livid Posted 31 January 2016 Posted 31 January 2016 I honestly think Derby and the Forest would make more progress if they weren't so hung up on each other. They need to start thinking beyond the Brian Clough cup or whatever it is.
EnderbyFox Posted 1 February 2016 Posted 1 February 2016 The ever frugal gravel throat signing a CB for £6m. Big Spenders Burnley at it again
ScouseFox Posted 1 February 2016 Posted 1 February 2016 burnleys first eleven surely cost more than ours
Corky Posted 1 February 2016 Posted 1 February 2016 Burnley are ruining football with their spending.
Soar Fox Posted 1 February 2016 Posted 1 February 2016 £15 million on James Tarkowski & Andre Gray. #ManyPoundNotes #MarketLeaders #BigSpendingBurnley
ScouseFox Posted 1 February 2016 Posted 1 February 2016 how much did we spend on our whole squad that won the league by like 300 points? when he cried all season? was it less than the 15 mill theyve spent on two players from brentford?

About £9 million wasn't it? Quite a few million pound signings, several frees and youth teamers.

Schmeichel -£1m De Laet - £1m Morgan - £800k Wasileswki / Moore free-youth Konchesky - £1.2m Dyer - free Drinkwater - £630k James - £875k Knockaert - £2m Vardy - £1m Nugent - free
ScouseFox Posted 1 February 2016 Posted 1 February 2016 lmao we are the greatest team the world has ever seen
Julian Joachim Jr Shabadoo Posted 1 February 2016 Posted 1 February 2016 I thought Knockaert was under £1m? £750k ish IIRC
Soar Fox Posted 1 February 2016 Posted 1 February 2016 I thought Knockaert was under £1m? £750k ish IIRC You could probably be right. I thought it was £1 million rising to £2 million. I could be wrong though as I couldn't find a definite link.
MC Prussian Posted 2 February 2016 Posted 2 February 2016 Middlesbrough now have to get promoted at all costs. You don't splash the cash on Jordan Rhodes (a total of £11m upon promotion!) and get Ritchie de Laet in for nothing. On a sidenote, Yaya Sanogo and Rod Fanni have joined relegation-threatened Charlton Athletic.

Dan Posted 5 February 2016 Posted 5 February 2016 You could probably be right. I thought it was £1 million rising to £2 million. I could be wrong though as I couldn't find a definite link. This isn't gospel but didn't some French expert come onto RL and say that we signed him ahead of Montpellier because they couldn't afford the 4mil euros? Something like that. Came to about £2.6mil.
