lestalee Posted 26 May 2015 Posted 26 May 2015 Mikel arteta 33 years old or Nigel de jong 30 years old both got the Experiance!!
StriderHiryu Posted 26 May 2015 Posted 26 May 2015 Jedinak and Loftus-Cheek seem like realistic options that would be good in the squad. Tomas Rosicky would be brilliant - he's got that swagger and class about him. Actually more proficient on the ball than Cambiasso! However, he doesn't have the organistaional ability or positional sense that our beloved Argentine does. One of the things that I notice the most about Esteban is the amount of times he orders other members of the team around and makes sure they are doing their job correctly, and that's something that will be hard to replicate.
Guest Col city fan Posted 26 May 2015 Posted 26 May 2015 Personally, given all things considered, Id be happier to be linked with a player like Lee Cattermole. Hows that for fence sitting?
nnfox Posted 26 May 2015 Posted 26 May 2015 chuck norris Good shout. Mikel arteta 33 years old or Nigel de jong 30 years old both got the Experiance!! Are these both available on a free? De Jong would be class. Imagine being an opposition player faced with the prospect of getting past De Jong only to be faced by Wasyl - they'd just give us the ball!
4everfox Posted 26 May 2015 Posted 26 May 2015 chuck norris Is it a coincidence that the Germans surrendered a day after he was born? I think not.
IsItMuzzy Posted 26 May 2015 Posted 26 May 2015 Grzegorz Krychowiak. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K8c7MkLupCw Only signed for Sevilla at the start of the season and he's been named in the La Liga team of the year. Whilst I'd love to see him here there's no chance we'd get him Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 26 May 2015 Posted 26 May 2015 ( have every Argentina top since 2002 World Cup have always been a massive fan of the team) I couldn't ever imagine cheering Argentina on as an Englishman. They're our big rivals for me, bar the sweaties but they're dogtits.
english77 Posted 26 May 2015 Posted 26 May 2015 Yoann Gourcuff (28 ans). Lyon (Free agent) There you go
thegaffa Posted 26 May 2015 Posted 26 May 2015 If we're signing players based on football manager then we MUST sign Alvarez Balanta, Lucas Romero and Berardi! Don't forget kimmich, savitsky and the young Swiss left back I think it's Rodriguez
4everfox Posted 26 May 2015 Posted 26 May 2015 Don't forget kimmich, savitsky and the young Swiss left back I think it's Rodriguez Pione Sisto from FC Copenhagen has a buyout clause of 2.5M, unreal player (on FM15). Sime Vrsaljko from Sassuolo is quality too, I'd take him as an alternative to De Laet.
Trev Posted 26 May 2015 Posted 26 May 2015 I think we need atleast 2 class midfielders - someone creative like Inan or Arteta and then more of a powerhouse like capoue or Jedinak. If it matters I think huddlestone would be a good signing would look to take the team foward, play to the wings and through to vardy and can tackle.
Spicer Posted 27 May 2015 Posted 27 May 2015 Jordy Clasie- Quality, can do everything. Jedinak- Underratted in my opinion. Has been great for Palace. Has ability as well as the steel we have talked about having in midfield. Yacob- Defensive medfielder, solid. Would allow Drinkwater/King to push on a little. Van Ginkel- Has impressed Milan fans. Chelsea may want him to gain Premiership experience. Nuri Şahin- hasn't played for Dortmund much, they have better options as well. Injury prone perhaps?
RizLCFC Posted 27 May 2015 Posted 27 May 2015 Yoann Gourcuff (28 ans). Lyon (Free agent) There you go No doubt he's got talent, but for some reason, whether it was a crisis of confidence, lack of professionalism or his injury record, he's never been able to fulfil his potential. He's an enigma. Done wonders for Bordeaux back in 08/09, but has struggled since. Maybe Nigel Pearson, with his strong man management skills can get the best out of him, but it's a big risk!
foxfanazer Posted 27 May 2015 Posted 27 May 2015 Loving the Nigel De Jong suggestion. Terrifying with him, Huth and Wasyl in the side

I am a big Bordeaux fan and have seen what he can do !!! Lyon paid a lot of money for him and he's a quite person but very skill full

I really thought he was going to be the one to fill the void left by Zidane. Scorer of my 2nd favourite goal of all time (behind Yeboah v Wimbledon)

MC Prussian Posted 27 May 2015 Posted 27 May 2015 XAVI I can only think of 3 players that could possibly fill Cambiasso's boots, Pirlo, Xavi or Iniesta, but they just aint as good! I know we're talking about some kind of a wishlist here, but Xavi's going the money way - which means heading in the direction of Qatar. $$$ Or he may as well end up at PSG. Sheiks - they're all the same.
RizLCFC Posted 27 May 2015 Posted 27 May 2015 We got lucky with Esteban. I don't think he'll be here next season, mission accomplished for him I reckon. It will take a couple of players to replace all his qualities especially leadership and game management.
Robin JD Popley Posted 28 May 2015 Posted 28 May 2015 I really hope our pursuit of Essien pays off as we know we were linked in January and if the rumours are to believed about us going in for him again, well, why not. I still think though Esteban may yet sign another deal but he will want some post-retirement assurances I would assume; namely coaching position or some such thing.

Do people really want to sign Essien? He was brilliant a few years ago, now he really ain't. I assume he's still on biggish wages too. I think we can now do better.
