ARM1968 Posted 4 June 2015 Posted 4 June 2015 Gourcruff was amazing on old FM games. In real life he hasn't achieved his potential, been injured a number of times and seems pretty much a spent force. Years ago I would have jumped at the chance of this guy, but not now, not in the real world.

Has played only 16 times since August 2011 and only once in the last two years. I agree that he's a fabulous player but I'd imagine he's all but retired.

If we could have the danny drinkwater of the championship season itd go a long way to replacing him in some way.. I'm still hopeful he'll turn out to be a good prem player. However in the likely scenario this won't happen, Id like to see us sign diaby on a pay as a you player contract if possible, while gourcuff, aquilani and David Pizarro are solid options on free who if we signed would probably conclude all the transfer business we need unless a decent cb on the cheap was on the market.
