LCFC hub Posted 26 May 2015 Posted 26 May 2015 Now we've finished our first season back in the prem, and our amazing end to the season. What value would you place on our players individually? If another club coming sniffing in today's market.
Dan Posted 26 May 2015 Posted 26 May 2015 Tricky this because we'll end up sticking some insane sounding values on them but in reality they aren't insane because there's no reason for them to leave. It's like Albrighton for example. We could afford to stick eight figures on him now. That's the nature of it.
fleckneymike Posted 26 May 2015 Posted 26 May 2015 As with any player, however much someone is willing to pay.
Xen Posted 26 May 2015 Posted 26 May 2015 What are they worth to us, or what are they worth to other clubs looking to buy? Vardy, for instance, would be effectively priceless for us, so most Leicester fans (including myself) would put a value upwards of £12m on him, some would say significantly higher than that. Barring last season where the early McCormack transfer completely scuppered the market, most other clubs would probably look to try and get him for about £8-10m max. To us, the majority of our players will be worth a lot more than what other clubs might value them at, given their achievements towards the end of the season (which admittedly have inflated some of their valuations significantly). The only exceptions I can think of are Simpson (obvious reasons), Wood (just below the standard we need), a few of the youth team, and potentially Nuge if we bring in someone else like Okazaki.
stb1996 Posted 26 May 2015 Posted 26 May 2015 According to the express Vardy is worth £15m ... http://www.express.co.uk/sport/football/579950/Leicester-Aston-Villa-Jamie-Vardy-Transfer-News-Gossip
MPH Posted 26 May 2015 Posted 26 May 2015 Whatever anyone is willing to pay or whatever we are willing to accept.
AKCJ Posted 26 May 2015 Posted 26 May 2015 Schmeichel - 8m Morgan - 3m Huth - 5m (Signing of the summer if we get him on a free) Wasilewski - 2m Albrighton - 6m King - 5m Cambiasso - 5m (See Huth) Schlupp - 8m Vardy - 12m Ulloa - 10m

Though I doubt we'd sell many of them for those prices, purely because we don't need to. We're not going to be held to randsom, so any of our star players would require a fee of at least double the above for us to seriously consider it. Players like Simpson and Wood could leave at those prices and I'd be happy, but with Riyad for example, £7.5million is probably what he's worth, but it'd take at least £15million for me to consider it, purely because of how important he is to the team, the same with Vardy, Schmeichel etc...

st albans fox Posted 26 May 2015 Posted 26 May 2015 Esteban has no value. he isnt on a contract after the end of june ! any players value will depend on the length remaining on a contract some of those valuations are too low. quite a few of these players have shown they can cut it in the PL. vardy is prob worth 10 mill as he hasnt entered the second year of his contract yet. had he been going into the last year of his deal, you could argue that the 10 mill would be halved at best. many of those on that list are not yet into the second year of a three year deal.
Julian Joachim Jr Shabadoo Posted 26 May 2015 Posted 26 May 2015 Nah, Ulloa is now a proven Premier League goalscorer, more than £10m definitely. It's hard to value our players with how the season went - on the last 10 games there's none under £20m!
Soar Fox Posted 26 May 2015 Posted 26 May 2015 As with any player, however much someone is willing to pay. Never really understood this saying. If Villa were only willing to pay say £1 million for Vardy would you say he's only worth that much?
sylofox Posted 26 May 2015 Posted 26 May 2015 Schmeichel - 8m Morgan - 3m Huth - 5m (Signing of the summer if we get him on a free) Wasilewski - 2m Albrighton - 6m King - 5m Cambiasso - 5m (See Huth) Schlupp - 8m Vardy - 12m Ulloa - 10m Both nothing as they are out of contract. As for the rest it is a case of bottle Other than Ulloa none cost us much. Can we replace them for the offer only our management would know. Would we take 12m for Vardy huge proffit but depends on Nigel's plans for next season.
sylofox Posted 26 May 2015 Posted 26 May 2015 Never really understood this saying. If Villa were only willing to pay say £1 million for Vardy would you say he's only worth that much? I see what Mike is saying and he is right. We would not sell Vardy for 1m we may be tempted at 10m (depends on nigels plans as I said above) If they offered 20m we would take it. It all comes down to bottle and what we feel we could do with the money.
Leicester_Numan Posted 26 May 2015 Posted 26 May 2015 Never really understood this saying. If Villa were only willing to pay say £1 million for Vardy would you say he's only worth that much? In Vardy's case, It means how much they're willing to pay in order for us to not only consider selling but actually do so which is basically our valuation and more. In the case of someone like Beckford for example, it means the lowest they can get away with that we were prepared to accept to get rid of him.
sylofox Posted 26 May 2015 Posted 26 May 2015 Infact with Vardy I personally would be tempted with anything over 10m. As much as he is great for us lets be honest his game is all about his pace and running. One bad injury he could be finished. He is not a player that can rely on his skill.
