Wrong. I'm merely suggesting that calling one girl a slit-eye and another minging isn't akin to the holocaust like some on here will have you believe.

Haha. And I've not seen anyone suggest it's 'merely' the same as trying to wipe an entire ethnic or religious group.

As I said a few pages back, the video I saw it all seemed to be coming from Hopper. A lot was off camera but seemed mostly the same voice. I think two of them might end up with a warning if that was the full video.

I am sorry you had to watch it, but glad you can provide more insight.

Unfortunately, they didn't edit out the comments before sending the video to their mates. So it's a bit pointless saying 'if you remove them...'.

However, I do think the owners/club would have been embarrassed if it was just an orgy, but the kids might have just got a warning.

 

yeah which is why i've said all along the racism is wrong and be as outraged as you like at that, but 3 "lads" shagging a few locals on holiday is not a national media story. i'd wager at least 50% of young british men go on holiday almost entirely with the aim to shag the local women. 

 

if the "slit eye" comment hadn't have been in any of the videos, by the looks of things, many in this thread would've still said they deserve sacking. which is a massive overreaction. 

 

without the racist comment it's an embarrassing, pretty shitty (not literally) video. oh well. but it happens all the time.

I've emailed the Mirror to tell them and asked how they could make such a basic error. I won't hold my breath for a reply.

I also believe that Matty James would have a pretty solid case against them on grounds of defamation.

You have far to much time on your hands unless you work as the club secretary wich i doubt. It will blow over in few weeks garantee so lets not get too worked up hey. People making out a murder has been committed or something and saying "i wouldn't do this or treat somone like that" but it wasnt you so who cares. They sent them home, they apologised so move on.

Yeah i'm sure his lawyers are gonna have a field day when Matty James has not been mentioned anywhere in the article and they have got the image from Getty Images where the clubs official photographer has captioned the photo as Tom Hopper.

 

He doesn't have to be mentioned in the article. There are plenty of cases of photographers/newspapers being sued for defamation for printing a photograph of the wrong person outside of court, implying they were the defendant. It all rests on whether "serious harm" was done to the complainant's reputation etc.

Local PROSTITUTES! A holiday shag with locals generally doesn't involve farting in their face and telling them to "eat sh1t" either. They're supposed to be professional footballers, not 'lads on tour'

 

Stop your moralising. How do you know what a "holiday shag" involves? And who are you to say that consenting adults shouldn't engage in the practice of rimming? As I said before, it's not my cup of tea at all but who cares? Consenting adults do it all the time and consent really is the only issue (except for the racial slur which doesn't seem to be the thing you're concerned about). Consent doesn't seem to be an issue in this case - the fact that you find arse-licking or farting distasteful is irrelevant. Please don't ever study the law around sexual offences or you will be in a constant state of outrage.

I can imagine they are surround by leeches, lots of people pretending to be friends to get something out of it, but ultimately jealous of the riches they get for very little. Probably happy to get a grand for the video from the paper.

I don't think they'll get sacked, i've just been reading this on kick it out. What they're suggesting is the players need educating, which is not going to happen if they get sacked.
