artursteppe Posted 10 June 2015 Posted 10 June 2015 I'm sure the lads get up to all sorts of funny business at home and away but the racism and aggressive almost violent misogyny shown by Hopper I doubt is so common. That's was way beyond the normal rich young footballer behaviour and into something much more sinister. Don't be daft. Sinister? What are you on?You are naive, 'professional' women in Thailand would be laughing at your ridiculous ranting. They do actually choose to be paid for such abuse. It would be disgraceful to abuse any woman in such a way in normal circumstances, but where there is a 'contract' for the provision of a service, which will include various forms of abuse, different rules apply. These women cater for all sorts of strange things, whether you might agree with it or not. Of course these guys have brought the name of Leicester City F C into disrepute, but you need to strike a balance with your judgements which would be viewed as very strange in Thailand. I have been there twice with partners, including once on honeymoon. I was offered all sorts of strange services by various men/women and 'mixed', in front of my wife. That is the way it is!
Ollie93 Posted 10 June 2015 Posted 10 June 2015 I'm feeling the same, surely no one is genuinely bothered now? Couldn't care less, the owners and staff will decide the best action. Besides i've been involved in 6 orgies since this happened, none of which made the news.
Brenfox Posted 10 June 2015 Posted 10 June 2015 Why is this still ongoing? The evidence is there & they should have been sacked the next day. I can't believe it has been allowed to go on for so long.

It's ridiculous, especially in Hopper's case The retention of a racist, misogynist would be massive news & a huge statement by the club to the presumably many female fans it has &/or hope to attract as their plans to grow the club take shape

I worked and lived in South east Asia, based predominantly in Bangkok for six years and never once was propositioned by someone asking me to racially abuse and degrade them. There is no "contract" which says you can do whatever you like to someone just because they're a Thai prostitute. And quite why you seem to think that people "over there" can be treated in a different way to anywhere else is anyone's guess, but I have my suspicions. Thanks for the lecture on Thai culture based on your two week holiday in phuket though. You're obviously an expert.

I agree it's sinister behavior to speak to another human being with such arrogant discourtesy. So what that they're paying for it, it doesn't mean they can behave like that. I think they've been watching too much Game of Thrones.

The other guy is basically saying because they are prostitutes its ok to to verbally abused .
Danno Posted 10 June 2015 Posted 10 June 2015 You can put me in that 50% who would still want them sacked. I could never pay to support a player who had done what Hopper has done regardless of how good they are. I don't base my moral opinions on how good someone is at football and I can't believe anyone but the least intelligent fans would either. Disappointed to have missed "zante" showing himself up last night by the looks of it. What a disgusting racist piece of shit. Hope he's banned for good. What did he say?
yorkie1999 Posted 10 June 2015 Posted 10 June 2015 Bangkok Brits on tonite, wonder if the naughty boys will be on it.
Rincewind Posted 10 June 2015 Posted 10 June 2015 LCFC have hit the highs or the lows depending on your viewpoint. The Infamous Three have been mentioned in none other than Private Eye. FOOTBALLERS PRAISED Three Leicester City footballers have been praised for reminding everyone there's more to football than just FIFA corruption,as they indulged in a racist orgy with prostitutes whilst on an end of year trip to Thailand. 'Football has always been more than bribing your way to being awarded the world cup.' insisted a spokesman for the FA. 'It's about indulging the vices of grossly overpaid idiots because they can kick a ball around a bit.' 'Thankfully this trio's disgraceful antics have reminded us all of the true meaning of football' Before considering a ban remember Private Eye is a satire magazine and not to be taken serious. I am only the messenger.
Freeman's Wharfer Posted 15 June 2015 Posted 15 June 2015 Over two weeks since this story broke now and still nothing.... I just don't get it. You can say that they want the story to die off a little bit why should they want that? If you're gonna sack them you should be showing swift, decisive action. If you're not and you're keeping them then there will only be greater outrage the longer this drags on before you announce a conclusion that, judging from here, the majority of fans do not want. If they are not sacked then there will have to be the usual public apology etc. and how much will that be de-valued after two weeks of nothing? I can't help but think if the manager's son were not involved this would have been handled differently. There's 'crisis management' (which I might add should happen regardless of holidays and who's where etc.) but then there's also needing to address damage to your brand swiftly. A member of your staff racially abusing a vulnerable person on an official company function which makes the national news is damage that needs rectifying sharpish and it just hasn't happened. Come on LCFC: sort it out.
Bluearmyfox28 Posted 15 June 2015 Posted 15 June 2015 I think they are purposely staying queit wouldn't be suprised if the club have resolved issue with the lads already.
ScouseFox Posted 15 June 2015 Posted 15 June 2015 Don't even need to do anything now everyone has forgotten it's even happened. Played the boys.
Lionheart Posted 15 June 2015 Posted 15 June 2015 If they were going to get rid of them they'd be gone by now, they are staying.
Bluearmyfox28 Posted 15 June 2015 Posted 15 June 2015 Don't even need to do anything now everyone has forgotten it's even happened. Played the boys. Exactly! Why bring it up again & cause all that controversy again?!
Wymsey Posted 15 June 2015 Posted 15 June 2015 Are they highly-rated reserve players? Can imagine Nigel setting up hidden security cameras in James's hotel room if they're on a family holiday...
lgfualol Posted 15 June 2015 Posted 15 June 2015 Are they highly-rated reserve players? Can imagine Nigel setting up hidden security cameras in James's hotel room if they're on a family holiday... Well Pearson and Smith were recently loaned out to conference teams at around 21 years old. Hopper scored a few times in league 1 last season and I think he is 21/22 years old. Dont think by sacking them we are losing any future premier league stars
Bluearmyfox28 Posted 15 June 2015 Posted 15 June 2015 the club think Hopper has a really bright future ahead of him. Smith not sure about & Pearson is obviously here as his dad has tried to help him make a professional career in football.
Frank to be Posted 16 June 2015 Posted 16 June 2015 I'm sure the club will announce the result of the investigation once it has reached its conclusion. That they haven't announced anything just means the investigation hasn't finished yet.

That they haven't announced anything just means the investigation hasn't finished yet. Wonder if they've been waiting for the Danny Simpson sentencing so they can get all the bad news out in one go? I guess we're about to find out.
ousefox Posted 16 June 2015 Posted 16 June 2015 My mate goes to the same hairdressers as James Pearson and apparently he went there out of hours to avoid being seen the other week. I doubt many people in Sheffield have a clue who he is even if he has been front page news. He also didn't seem too bothered by the whole event I was told too.
