Hadn't seen too much of him until he was called up for Wales.

Been massively impressed since he came in though and has been a big part of our recent solid defensive efforts. Notably against Belgium.

I'd like him, and as soon as Hull's relegation was confirmed I was waiting for this to happen. Pearson's tried to bring him here before hasn't he.

Don't be too surprised if Chester comes here and Moore goes the other way on a season long loan as a sweetener.

I'd take a straight swap. Although Moore doesn't want to leave Leicester. He'd reluctantly do it temporarily.

That would actually be really good business to be honest for both sides. Hull get cash to invest in the squad elsewhere & a replacement for free. & we get Chester plus Liam Moore gets more experiance & game time.

That would actually be a very decent move for all parties actually. Leicester & Hull helping each other out just like they always have done, eh...

Cannavaro ? 5' 9"

Cannavaro is an exception, not the rule.

Tall, physical centre backs are better than short ones. Especially in the Premier League.

True, but if we continue with back three you can get away with it provided the other two have a presence

Out of all of Nigel's Utd recruits, he is definitely in the top three in my view.

Always been impressed when I've seen him play, would certainly add much needed youth to our back line with much needed experience too.

Would genuinely love to see this come off and I would tend to think it is very likely indeed.

5tf 11" I just prefer your solid Centre back who can defend set pieces, also a player from a relegated team that has a worse GD that we already have not to mention the problems that this will probably cause with Liam Moore feeling like he is being ostracized.

The only reason there goal difference is so bad is because they couldn't hit a barn door

Well that's Liam Moore's fault.

If Liam Moore had performed then he would be in the team and we wouldn't be looking for another centre back.

I remember MON saying that ultimately he doesn't pick the team, the players do.

He is too small IMO

Height isn't everything. Being able to read the game is just as crucial if not more important. Puyol was 5 ft 10" Cannavaro was 5 ft 9" & Mascherano is 5 ft 8" just to name a few. 4/5 premiership clubs would not be interested in him if his performances hadn't warranted their interest.

How does Chester play? Is he different to what we currently have at the back?

from what I've seen, mobile and agile ball-playing CB. Less physical than what we have currently but same good reading of the game and a better footballer than the likes of Morgan. I'd definitely want him here

Excellent post.

I think some people need to face up to the reality that maybe Moore hasn't got what it takes. He could turn out to be a good PL player one day, but judging from this season just gone, we can do better at the moment, and there's no room for sentimentality if we are to succeed.

If Moore has what it takes, the extra competition will make him more determined to raise his game and get in the team. If he hasn't, he'll sulk.

That MON quote is genius! Of course, he's right. Why would the manager leave out players who could improve the team? He wants the team to win as much as the fans do.
