Suggests to me that Ranieri hasn't been able to secure his 1st choice midfielder and gone with the back up of the scouting team. Why is that odd? The scouting team seem to do a great job, if they have a portfolio of players and targets that fit our requirements I'm sure there's plenty of players that fit Ranieri's needs just as much as Pearson's. Pure conjecture yet again.

He's a very quick box to box player, best tackler in Europe last year. He wins a lot of balls, by tackling or interceptions (?) and move quickly forward. He's very shy, maybe that's why a foreign country wasn't his first choice. But on the field he's a boss. We don't have much more information about him signing or not, but when I saw the BBC news link I thought it was a sure thing ... I'll say it's 95% done but it's just my opinion
