tylesta Posted 28 June 2015 Posted 28 June 2015 omg yet another player that is over 30 we got shares in a company that manufactures Zimma-frames???? whats wrong with looking at players that could stay for more than 2 years??? Why can't he stay more than 2 years he's 30 not 35
Alex_LCFC Posted 28 June 2015 Posted 28 June 2015 FIFA's official website describes Barnetta as "though primarily a creative footballer, Barnetta covers ground and closes down opponents on the football pitch with the sort tireless energy and dogged determination one might expect from a tigerish central midfielder".[24] Barnetta is regarded for bringing "drive, skill and maturity" to the Swiss national team ticks the boxes for me
desertfox2 Posted 28 June 2015 Posted 28 June 2015 On a free, any day of the week. Hopefully if Cambiasso sees the intent that we are showing in the transfer window he might stay?? I can't see him going to another prem side maybe the states as he loves basketball. He will probably only stay if he thinks we can do better than last season as why spoil the legend.
Ric Flair Posted 28 June 2015 Posted 28 June 2015 I'd definitely take him, however if we are going to bring in players over 30 then we need to ship out the older fringe players and have some youth pushing for a first team place. Dean Hammond and Konchesky really aren't needed and should be moved on to allow the likes of Chilwell to challenge.

Richmondfox Posted 28 June 2015 Posted 28 June 2015 I find it hard to keep up with what the people are moaning about. One minute they don't want to pay £7m for a 29/30 year old, the next they don't want a free transfer who's 30, then they want youth, then they want prem experience. His stats look alright and he can cover left/right/mid http://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/tranquillo-barnetta/profil/spieler/6645
shailen Posted 28 June 2015 Posted 28 June 2015 Anyone that has played FM knows the potential he has. Would take a chance on him solely based on that.Becomes a top player at Man Utd in every game I play.
Dan Posted 28 June 2015 Posted 28 June 2015 Anyone that has played FM knows the potential he has. Would take a chance on him solely based on that.Becomes a top player at Man Utd in every game I play. I think you need a new FM now
MC Prussian Posted 28 June 2015 Posted 28 June 2015 I don't see the point in moaning about players around the 30-year old age bracket. Sports science and nutrition have improved tenfold in the past ten to twenty years, so he'll be fit as a fiddle still. And he's literally just turned 30 a month ago. He's played on the highest level with Schalke, has been an important part for the Swiss national squad and therefore comes with a lot of much-needed experience. Surely we could use some calmness (sorry for the obvious pun) on the (left) wing? He'd also have a great influence on Schlupp, who does speak German, as well.
Callabinho Posted 28 June 2015 Posted 28 June 2015 I think we need to discuss the long term financial implications this proposed transfer may Have on the club.
matty98 Posted 28 June 2015 Posted 28 June 2015 Decent stats, played champions league football and assume he has good understanding of how Fuchs plays, on a free can't see why not
Alex_LCFC Posted 28 June 2015 Posted 28 June 2015 Typical foxes talk. Manage to find something to moan about anything good. Most "blokes" on here are worse than women
Wymsey Posted 28 June 2015 Posted 28 June 2015 Would add more needed experience. Hopefully, too, he could persuade Xherdan Shagiri to come over.
Dan Posted 29 June 2015 Posted 29 June 2015 I think we need to discuss the long term financial implications this proposed transfer may Have on the club. Scooby doo.
GLC Posted 6 July 2015 Posted 6 July 2015 Leicester City and Watford are the latest clubs to express an interest in signing forward Tranquillo Barnetta, according to Swiss newspaper BLICK. Barnetta is withough a club after leaving Schalke and is being targeted by former club St Gallen. The report suggests the 30-year-old must decide whether to return home or try his luck in the Premier League after spending 11 years in Germany. Another striker

LCCFox96 Posted 6 July 2015 Posted 6 July 2015 Would be more than happy with this. A good addition to the left midfield position, can play in the hole and on the right too. He'd add some more top flight experience, quality from set pieces and he is supposedly very pacey. For a free transfer you can't really argue with that.
Dan Posted 6 July 2015 Posted 6 July 2015 http://www.foxestalk.co.uk/forums/topic/101284-tranquillo-barnetta/page-2#entry3458947 He isnt a striker either bud In fairness if it's an unfamiliar name I can understand why the "linked with Leicester" bit makes them assume it's a striker.
Clever Fox Posted 6 July 2015 Posted 6 July 2015 Sounds like a good option if he is on a free transfer. I cant understand what some people are complaining about. Were buying seasoned pros with good pedigree, like Cambiasso last year. Should we not have signed him.? This approach should guarantee our place in the premiership next year again. If we can continue to do that while raising the profile of the Club and picking up good young talent like Mahrez and Krameric. Then enticing quality young talent to the club becomes easier. Do some fans seriously think that we should pay 40 million for Harry Kane after what we seen of him or Raheem Sterling for 50 Million or 25/ 30 million for Ross Barkley. Although I do thing we missed a future England player in Tyrone Mings and for the money was worth a punt. In general though it isn't going to happen given their present status. But do people think they would even come here before the utds etc. NP had the right blueprint for a club like us. Climb our way to the top progressively.

Asherz Posted 7 July 2015 Posted 7 July 2015 Ryan giggs... Was nearly 40 when he retired ... That is all...
