ScouseFox Posted 6 July 2015 Posted 6 July 2015 Who would you like to pick then if you were him then thats available right now? Remember he's interested in the Premier League too. Don't forget Im not saying its going to happen I just don't think its as unrealistic as some are making out and it will be an offer he'd at least look at as said I'd just sit and wait a few months for when either Liverpool or arsenal are eighth in november, then I'd hint id love to manage at a great ground like anfield, then they'd sack Rodgers and I'd walk into a huge job. not manage a relegation threatened nobody.
shade Posted 6 July 2015 Posted 6 July 2015 at the end of the day why would he go to city, united, Liverpool etc, they're pre-built empires (some are crumbling already). he would be infinitely better coming to a young, ambitious green shoot like Leicester City and building a dynasty of his own to stand for the next 100 years. klopp in!
Jace Posted 6 July 2015 Posted 6 July 2015 as said I'd just sit and wait a few months for when either Liverpool or arsenal are eighth in november, then I'd hint id love to manage at a great ground like anfield, then they'd sack Rodgers and I'd walk into a huge job. not manage a relegation threatened nobody. But we wouldn't be with his ability to bring in players and the money he has to spend, personally I think the Liverpool job is a terrible 1 for any big manager biggest expectations with the most difficult task everyone has tried and failed to win the Premier League with them
Guest Mee-9 Posted 6 July 2015 Posted 6 July 2015 I think it's more realistic than you'd imagine. He struggled in the bundesliga for the first half of last season, and it took a long time for him to turn it around. Plus if he wants to get to know the Premier League better then it'd be a great shout for him to come here. Loads of money to spend. Plus really I can see the only way is up for us now, depending we get a good appointment and not someone shocking.
splinterdream Posted 6 July 2015 Posted 6 July 2015 I don't believe a Journo or somebody hasn't told him he's linked to us and asked for a comment, even if the question hasn't been asked. He is in the UK I believe and we're a Premier League club. He may not know our history or our City but I'm sure he knows we're a Premier League side, our facilities and our record last season.
lgfualol Posted 6 July 2015 Posted 6 July 2015 Tick Tock don't Klopp kerching Can you handle it? Wontcha put your hands up Rude boys say its all good Are we gonna make noise For the sound of the rude boys *kerching*
Molson Canadian Posted 6 July 2015 Posted 6 July 2015 I think most importantly the question/topic that has not been asked here or discussed is if Jurgen Klopp joins us, will he be wearing a tracksuit or a suit and tie on the touchline during matches?
Guest kristianity77 Posted 6 July 2015 Posted 6 July 2015 as said I'd just sit and wait a few months for when either Liverpool or arsenal are eighth in november, then I'd hint id love to manage at a great ground like anfield, then they'd sack Rodgers and I'd walk into a huge job. not manage a relegation threatened nobody. So let me get this right, just so I'm sure of what you're saying. You think Klopp will do nothing, and wait it out until someone is sacked at either a top 6 club in England, or say the top 2 in Spain, and maybe the top couple of clubs in Italy. That about right? So, hypothetically, what happens come christmas time if none of them are sacked? Then what happens, does he have an entire season out of the game or will he then lower his expectations a bit and take on a "lesser" job so to speak? Regardless of whether his stock is high or whatever right now, how does it benefit him sitting on the sidelines doing nothing at all in the meantime?
Thracian Posted 6 July 2015 Posted 6 July 2015 However likely or unlikely it might be for Klopp to come here I can see no reason why our owners shouldn't make an approach (assuming they want him) - unless some other appointment is in the process of being agreed. If Klopp says "no" and it's not worth asking again or making the most attractive proposal you can think of then it's not for the want of trying and you can move on knowing you've tried.

benpicko Posted 6 July 2015 Posted 6 July 2015 I do like the idea that one of the best managers in the world hasn't heard of a club who are in the Premier League and who have just pulled off an incredible escape.

Because, as you said, some are crumbling already and he would be hoping to build something new and bring them success again?
ScouseFox Posted 6 July 2015 Posted 6 July 2015 I do like the idea that one of the best managers in the world hasn't heard of a club who are in the Premier League and who have just pulled off an incredible escape. if i was him i wouldn't ever scroll far enough down the league table to see our name

If you read what I put then you'll see that I agree that he won't come here. My point is, is that I don't believe he will sit out of football until an elite club comes knocking.
benpicko Posted 6 July 2015 Posted 6 July 2015 if i was him i wouldn't ever scroll far enough down the league table to see our name Well unfortunately for him he was forced to scroll quite far down the Bundesliga table last year to find his team's name
ramboacdc Posted 6 July 2015 Posted 6 July 2015 didnt realise this was being reported on sky sports online.
The Horse's Mouth Posted 6 July 2015 Posted 6 July 2015 has he been spotted in Morrisons yet? I saw him in W.H Smith, he's a big fan of Orwell it seems
Julian Joachim Jr Shabadoo Posted 6 July 2015 Posted 6 July 2015 Klopp! Hammer time! Du dudu du, du du, du du KLOPP TOUCH THIS (point to one's genitals) Repeat.
ScouseFox Posted 6 July 2015 Posted 6 July 2015 Well unfortunately for him he was forced to scroll quite far down the Bundesliga table last year to find his team's name yeah that's true. that's also probably one of the reasons he left.
Suffolk exile Posted 6 July 2015 Posted 6 July 2015 I know it is hugely unlikely he'll come - but think what an amazing appointment he would be - what a shot in the arm for the club, fans and area! (?). Keep the faith - stranger things have happened!
splinterdream Posted 6 July 2015 Posted 6 July 2015 Maybe, in his research on us he asked for a report of our last 10 matches
Jace Posted 6 July 2015 Posted 6 July 2015 Even if we approached him and he said no it shows others what the expectations of the owners are. It injects positivity and optimism into the club, the players and potential new signings
Guest Posted 6 July 2015 Posted 6 July 2015 No offence but have you listened to yourself?! Not just you but anyone saying this shit. Imagine if you were one of the best managers in the world and have chosen to leave your job at one of Europes biggest clubs. It'd be like me saying to you you could go to Real Madrid, juventus, psg, arsenal, liverpool or apparently eibar sell out every game in their little stadium and it might be a good project. So ****ing what. You don't become one of the best managers in the world, one of the most sought after names in the world, leave your job at borussia dortmund to go to Leicester City. not unless you are mentally unhinged. or a leicester fan. or both. Like everyone I'm not expecting Klopp to come here - but I wouldn't rule it out, for a number a reasons already mentioned. In response to your points I think it's fair to acknowledge that Klopp is a little unorthodox in his personality and view of football. A lot of other top managers seem to take themselves way too seriously; Klopp is wacky enough to (potentially) make an unusual move like this. Besides that he'd hardly be the first person in football to move somewhere that is 'beneath their ability'. Usually it involves lots of money, and the possibility of easy accolades (not that Klopp is necessarily after either of those) i.e. half the players going to the MLS even though they could still play in the top leagues for a few more years. And virtually any quality managers who coach in Russia or the Middle East. Klopp to leicester would be a surprise, but stranger things have happened.
sdb Posted 6 July 2015 Posted 6 July 2015 Even if we approached him and he said no it shows others what the expectations of the owners are. It injects positivity and optimism into the club, the players and potential new signings 'Would you like to be our manager?' 'No' = positivity and optimism
st albans fox Posted 6 July 2015 Posted 6 July 2015 Is it possible to 'block' a thread? i dont want to look on here because its so fanciful and yet when i see another page i cant bloody help myself !!!
