The Horse's Mouth Posted 6 July 2015 Posted 6 July 2015 Yeah shouldn't be too hard to reanimate Clough's corpse It's not because of his actual ability, It's because of the actual move itself. For him to even be remotely interested in taking this step down, we would probably have to give him full control over everything. Which I just don't trust him with, he's much better with a director of football or the equivalent of someone overseeing transfer activity. It's no coincidence that when he begun to have full control over the transfers, he'd go out a buy shite like Immobile. Comparing him to Clough is mental anyway
shade Posted 6 July 2015 Posted 6 July 2015 his first job was to clean up all the spunk from the fans after it was confirmed this morning he's signed, gave him some old training gear so he wouldn't get his new kit messy too.
Carlos88LCFC Posted 6 July 2015 Posted 6 July 2015 Do we have much of a German fan base, out of interest? We have signed a few players from the German league & a big German center back named Robert Huth! I'm sure there's nothing at all in that though.
ARTY_FOX Posted 6 July 2015 Posted 6 July 2015 I was living in a very dortmund area for 3 years converting any German football fan onto leicester as their English team..... Make of that what you want
Craig Posted 6 July 2015 Posted 6 July 2015 I heard a rumour that we were facing a German side at home in pre-season too... That was pre-Pearson sacking. Could be absolute crap though seeing as we don't appear to have any space.
Bagworthblue Posted 6 July 2015 Posted 6 July 2015 I was living in a very dortmund area for 3 years converting any German football fan onto leicester as their English team..... Make of that what you want did the same in Saarbruecken err..... 27 years ago - hmm time for it to blossom and err grow wider by err 200 miles
ARTY_FOX Posted 6 July 2015 Posted 6 July 2015 did the same in Saarbruecken err..... 27 years ago - hmm time for it to blossom and err grow wider by err 200 miles It's probably definitely going to happen then.
Finnegan Posted 6 July 2015 Posted 6 July 2015 Now running the sweepstake on which unfunny cvnt will start the KLOPP SIGNS! thread with a hilarious picture of a Dortmund fan holding a Klopp sign. I'm going for kingfox.
ramboacdc Posted 6 July 2015 Posted 6 July 2015 serious money coming for klopp now. i wouldn't say no.
shailen Posted 6 July 2015 Posted 6 July 2015 I think he is a good manager but I'm scared this sort of appointment will have more of a Holloway affect where he'd be more interested in the media side. That's why he'd be more suited with a bigger club where there's not as much responsibility solely on a manager. I'd honestly rather appoint Big Sam because he'd have more experience and knowledge to get a club like ourselves at this point of time. If we continue to grow, Klopp could be good for us, but I'm not sure he's the man right now

If we continue to grow, Klopp could be good for us, but I'm not sure he's the man right now I'm sorry but this is ridiculous on plenty of levels. For a start, he's not some self obsessed diva and for seconds, our last boss kept the media spotlight quite consistently on himself last year (possibly to intentionally keep it off his players.) I'm solidly in camp "this will never happen" but it'd clearly be spectacular if it did. He's comfortably the best manager in the world for our club at this moment in time. Anyone who wouldn't take him is just daft.
Happy Fox Posted 6 July 2015 Posted 6 July 2015 If we get Klopp the Thais have pulled off the greatest managerial coup of this century.
ARM1968 Posted 6 July 2015 Posted 6 July 2015 Hope we get Klopp and not the Klapp. Could happen. Let's hope it does.
Stevosevic Posted 6 July 2015 Posted 6 July 2015 Us all putting money on Klopp to shorten the odds isn't gonna make it more likely

Ashley Posted 6 July 2015 Posted 6 July 2015 Us all putting money on Klopp to shorten the odds isn't gonna make it more likely Said this a few times now already it doesn't take a lot to move the price of a manager on manager markets
Bagworthblue Posted 6 July 2015 Posted 6 July 2015 Us all putting money on Klopp to shorten the odds isn't gonna make it more likely you never know - Rudkin might be checking oddschecker and think ..... hmm who is this Klopp fella?
Tielemans63 Posted 6 July 2015 Posted 6 July 2015 Us all putting money on Klopp to shorten the odds isn't gonna make it more likely This. People are placing far too much importance on odds. They come in when people have placed bets on outsiders so as to limit any potential losses for bookies and they go out again to tempt people to have a bet when markets go quiet. Klopp's odds have closed because people are putting money on it - simple as. It's when a potential manager's price reduces to huge odds-on favourite that you should take any notice.
The Doctor Posted 6 July 2015 Posted 6 July 2015 I think he is a good manager but I'm scared this sort of appointment will have more of a Holloway affect where he'd be more interested in the media side. Difference between Klopp and Holloway is Klopp is also a very good manager. Holloway didn't fail because he was pandering to the media, he failed because he was tactically naive and utterly daft as a manager. That's why he'd be more suited with a bigger club where there's not as much responsibility solely on a manager. So, to solve the problem of the media he should go to a bigger club where there will be more media focus on him... I'd honestly rather appoint Big Sam because he'd have more experience and knowledge to get a club like ourselves at this point of time. If we continue to grow, Klopp could be good for us, but I'm not sure he's the man right now Big Sam would be a sensible, if dull, appointment, but let's not pretend Klopp isn't streets ahead. He could easily manage any of the top teams in the division...
FrankieWorthoYaggedMyWife Posted 6 July 2015 Posted 6 July 2015 From that sean from enderby ****?!? KLOPP the press! Jurgenna love our new gaffer #LCFC #KloppofthePops
Bagworthblue Posted 6 July 2015 Posted 6 July 2015 This. People are placing far too much importance on odds. Tielemans63 Posted 6 July 2015 Posted 6 July 2015 is that why you reduced him to 12s Paddy P? Just covering my losses Baggy! That's still pretty long odds though in the grand scheme of things. If he comes in to 2/1 or Evens then I might be flying at half mast, but not yet.
