Well I suppose that's true, it's not like we've ever signed crap players in the past.

 

How does that have any relevance to what I said? So in other words we should now loan every player incase they turn out crap?

 

There is literally no business sense in loaning him when we could probably buy him for about four million.

Just saying it works both ways, risks in buying and risks in loaning.

 

It might be that the player doesn't want to come here permanently but use this as an opportunity to impress other clubs.

How is James far more effective going forward than King? You can count the amount of goals James has scored or assisted since arriving on one hand if you take out the set pieces (maybe even if you leave in the set pieces).

Matty James has more drive, when he gets the ball he looks to go forward. Andy King on the other hand keeps it simple & grafts away. James might not contribute in terms of goals, but in terms of going forward & creating opportunities he is more effective than King.

All depends how you play him.

If King isn't in a 4-4-2, he's great at getting forward and drives the game just as much as James.

In a 4-4-2, he sits...because I guess Pearson told him to.

As a Chelsea fan, I could give you a bit Chelsea perspective on Romeu (and Ake, if you want, but i'll stick to Romeu in this post). 

 

For starters, I don't think he could be a direct replacement for Cambiasso, neither in quality or positioning/role. Cambiasso's Leicester form (never mind his Inter days) is several notches above anything Romeu has ever shown, so keep that in mind. Also, Romeu is almost exclusively a defensive midfielder, but he does possess a very good passing range, which you'd except comes naturally to someone who grew up in Barcelona's academy. 

 

He has unlucky, in the sense that he suffered a serious ACL injury just as he was starting to progress as a player make a name for himself at Chelsea. AVB clearly preferred to play Romeu with Lampard rather than Mikel and Meireles. Our overabundance of non-homegrown players isn't helping Romeu's chances unfortunately - just like it isn't helping his fellow serious knee-injury victim Marco van Ginkel, now on loan at Stoke - but Romeu had once (almost) proven himself to be a capable presence in the our midfield.  While Nemanja Matic isn't likely to be displaced anytime soon, Romeu could conceivably push somebody like Mikel for playing time (again) and help resurrect some of the fun debates Chelsea fans had back in the AVB days about those two, though perhaps not, as that would probably signal the end of Mikel's time with us. He now also has the poster boy of our academy Loftus-Cheek to contend with, who Chelsea have spent a lot of time talking about and who I think will be ahead of the likes of Mikel and Ramires in the pecking order this season. You never know with Mourinho when it comes to youth though, so we'll have to wait and see on that front.

 
Chelsea fans mostly want to sell Romeu as, realistically, he isn't breaking into our first team any time soon and he isn't likely to suddenly become a £20m asset worth hanging on to, and a mid-table PL player is where his level is at for now. He has the potential to turn into a very good player, so I think Leicester would do well to turn this loan deal into a permanent one.

If we were playing a 3-4-3, we would have a Mahrez type for creation in a central role and two wingers bombing forward.

You need two midfielders who complement each other well. James & King were the grafters of the team, while Cambiasso kept it cool & looked to create with his adventurous passing.

Players like King, Romeu & Ake will do the same type of job, you need someone in there who has drive and can create opportunities like Cambiasso did. Kante, Dembele or Inan would be perfect alongside someone like King or Romeu.

This is ****ing ridiculous. Pearson goes because of a difference in perspective and all our 'world class elite' manager can do is borrow players from Chelsea like we're Reading. What happens when we go into the last game of the season needing points and have to play a reserve team because half our team is on loan from Chelsea?

If an Oriol Romeu inspired win at Stamford Bridge is all that is going to keep us up I fear we have greater problems.

You can only loan 2 players. Why did pearson loan so many players then? Why did he take harry Kane on loan. Why did he? Loans are ridiculous. Oh no I forgot. Loans are only ridiculous when it's someone other than pearson doing it.
