Jattdogg Posted 17 October 2015 Posted 17 October 2015 He needs to go be proud and irish in Ireland. That said didnt see huge deal with what he did given he was given stick.
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 17 October 2015 Posted 17 October 2015 He's a ridiculously ugly cretin that looks like when you push wax in on a candle that has only recently been blown out and he needs to **** off and live somewhere else but what he's done there isn't really an issue is it? You get dogs all game, you should be allowed to do something back - wasn't offensive or anything. Seemed as if he was punching up to the air towards them, but quite unclear. How on earth was it unclear?!
ScouseFox Posted 17 October 2015 Posted 17 October 2015 wymes having his own post of the week competition tonight man Needs some Horse-riding lessons, so he knows that to align himself correctly when jumping/moving. Seemed as if he was punching up to the air towards them, but quite unclear.
srbfox Posted 17 October 2015 Posted 17 October 2015 Why doesn't he just fvck off back to Derry, or does he enjoying whoring himself to the EPL?
howlinmadmurfdoc Posted 18 October 2015 Posted 18 October 2015 The casual racism in this thread is incredible! All the why doesn't he **** off back to Ireland posts!
Jimothy Posted 18 October 2015 Posted 18 October 2015 The casual racism in this thread is incredible! All the why doesn't he **** off back to Ireland posts! It's not racism. McClean uses his profile to make public his hatred of Britain, but continues to live here, people are merely asking if he hates the country that much why live here, surely he'd be happier elsewhere. If a Brit living Australia kept complaining about every aspect of Austrslian life I'd question why they lived in Australia and haven't returned home.
Vacamion Posted 18 October 2015 Posted 18 October 2015 Don't get me wrong, McLean's a wee dick, but there was not that much to the gesture he made and he shouldn't face action because of it. Something tells me he's going to get even more stick from opposition fans.

Something tells me he's going to get even more stick from opposition fans. I would think as someone who already a bit of a controversial figure he just needs to get his head down and play football, and dare I say grow up a bit. The gesture might not be that bad, but is there really any need to make it anyway. If the whole country thinks you're a **** then you either stop being one or you carry on and accept the criticism you receive for it.

If the whole country thinks you're a **** then you either stop being one or you carry on and accept the criticism you receive for it. He was well within his rights to do what he did yesterday. He didn't do anything abusive or illegal. He merely celebrated towards the opposition fans. Fans dish it out and should face up to it when they get it back. As for Danny Graham and the Sunderland players, if they don't want to get the arse, maybe they should stop being shithouse and win a few games and in Danny Graham's case score some goals. McClean did nothing wrong yesterday and people are merely jumping on it because they think he's a ****.

Well considering Adebayor and Gary Neville both received bans for celebrating in a similar fashion in front of opposition fans, I think the FA might disagree with you. Anyway I think you slightly miss my point. As someone who is barely spoken about in terms of his football and almost exclusively talked about as being inflammatory ****, I think it's time he concentrated on actually playing football to his full ability and showing people he's actually capable rather than making stupid gestures and comments trying cause arguments and fights. The fact the Sunderland fans were giving him abuse all game was probably down to the fact he's been behaving like dick for most of his career, if he'd actually spent his time doing what he's paid handsomely to do he might not attract such abuse. You can accept a bit of controversy from a player if they offer something on the pitch, Liverpool did with Suarez, Man Utd with Cantona, but if you've got a player like McClean who on a constant basis offers very little on the pitch but causes lots of talking points off it, then you're just paying thousands a week for a troublesome little shit. He didn't have to gesture to the fans, even if he was abused, he should rise above it, in the end he got the most important victory, 3 points.
BoyJones Posted 18 October 2015 Posted 18 October 2015 The player clearly has issues, and if Vardy had to go on an awareness course, then surely with his history, McClean is a prime candidate to go on one too. You will not meet a more staunch or committed Irish lady than my mother, but even she thinks McClean is a few potatoes short of an Irish Stew.

He's an ex Sunderland player who is disliked by most because he's a bit of a ****. He obviously doesn't care though and why should he? He's a professional footballer playing in one of the best leagues in the world. He's not terrible and he's not a world beater, he's a solid player at Premier League level. He doesn't have to make people like him, he lives his life and as long he does nothing illegal so what? He has his own views on things, different to many but oh well that's life. I like players to show passion. West Brom against Sunderland is a massive 6 pointer considering the position both clubs were in last season. He didn't start swearing and being abusive to the fans which obviously I wouldn't agree with, but plenty of fans give it out and get the arse if they get some back. People need to grow up if they think a bit of celebrating to away fans giving you shit all game is a bad thing. Vardy is one for winding up opposition fans and all Leicester fans love him for his aggressive play on the pitch. I don't agree with certain things he's done previously but people are making something out of nothing here.
Soar Fox Posted 18 October 2015 Posted 18 October 2015 Wes Morgan does that in front of Forest fan everyone on here would fvcking love it "wow Wez is a legend for doing that" It's only because it's James McLean everyone is getting arsey about it.

He clearly doesn't like what Britain is or what it stands for. Refuses to respect many things including our anthem, flag, poppies, monarchy etc. I think it's a reasonable question to ask if he'd be happier living somewhere else. EDIT: I'll add refusing to respect those things but happy to earn money by playing in our lucrative Premier League. Probably being paid out of money earned by ex army men buying tickets at WBA, the army he so hates. But as long as he taking home a big wedge of cash I'm sure he's happy being a hypocrite.

Maybe the first part of my post was a bit harsh, but when it comes to disrespecting this country I think an Irishman with republican views is a small fish in a very big pond nowadays.
