He was obviously playing the game of holding out for as long as poss to get the best deal and Claudio has called his bluff.....better to know now and move on than string it out like last year and risk not signing anybody. Totally agree Claudio did the right thing we can't wait till 2 weeks into the season again its not fair on the other players

Well you have to admit it has legs.
