Esteban's not coming back

It's a real shame, I respect his decision though. It'll be sad not to see that name on the team sheet! CAMBIASSO

So I wish him good luck for the future, and I wait with a hint of excitement at his replacement, who knows this might open the

door to some exciting talent.

Thank you Estaban.

I bet Federico has a right big grin on his face right now thinking about what to spend his new contract agent fee on

First test for Rudkin and Ranieri failed.

disagree - you have no idea what has happened..it seems from his own admission to have been cambiasso who has said no not Ranieri

Totally agree Claudio did the right thing we can't wait till 2 weeks into the season again its not fair on the other players

agree...it would be a fail if we start the season without the right players in the squad and waiting another two weeks increases that probability - this now allows us to move on and focus on recruitment

I ask again..does anyone know why he's off, or where?

Clutching at straws but is that his Facebook page and not someone who has randomly made it? It doesn't seem to go that far back.

It's his official verified page fella

If he joins a Turkish/Russian / Oz/ US team or even a top 8 side (unlikely) then fair enough.

If he joins someone like Stoke or Palace it'll be pretty annoying.

Actually not affected me as much as I thought it would. I'm sad but I reckon a couple young replacements will be good enough.

All the waiting for him to sign just confirmed to me he was looking elsewhere.

People will use this has a stick to hit ranieri with but there is no guarantee he would have signed for Pearson. He would have signed early in the summer of that was the case.

Might go home to Argentina? They all seem to do that.

Exactly, I agree. If he wanted to stay he would have signed straight away.

I think he will end up at Liverpool. Gutted if he goes there .

Does it matter? The most important or sad part about this is that he won't be coming back at all.

I'm currently swimming in my own pool of tears.

I can't say I'm in the least bit surprised, really. I got the feeling that was it watching him waving to the fans on the last day of last season. I did think it was 50/50, but now I know, it's like I was expecting it.

Probably the greatest ever player to wear the shirt, and it was a real privilege to see a player of such high calibre play for us.

Thanks for joining us and helping us avoid the drop in style, Esteban. Was great to have you here.
