What will you miss about being "newly promoted Leicester city"

I had to do something to hide my frustration looking at the transfer sagas in the transfer news section so here we go.

I'm going to seriously miss being called plucky and of course everyone's favourites to go down. Oh and reruns of our 5-3 against United

What about you guys ( and girls I'm sure)

If we don't replace EC, we might still be everyone's favourites to go down this season

A squad built upon team spirit and work ethic with a inspirational and charismatic manager. Looking forward to that going out the window.

No matter what anyone says the last two seasons have been exciting and a real rollercoaster of a ride. No doubt I'd settle for a stable mid table finish but the drama and entertainment we have had in the last two seasons especially has been fantastic.

Drawing against Everton first day of the season and it feeling like a great accomplishment. A draw against Sunderland next weekend will feel like a massive opportunity missed, a loss will be a pisstake

We need to wind our necks in a bit we are still favourites to go down and have the same battle as last year to stay up.  The second season is often harder people need to remember that.

So what ill miss is the mentality of the crowd and the fact we didnt moan when we went 1-0 and 2-1 down against Everton and still created a good positive atmosphere, the Wood goal felt amazing.

Whereas this year i can see people sat there moaning if were not 2-0 up after 20 mins against Sunderland!

We are in the same position as last year not some top ten club which is the expectation some on here seem to have

:nono:

Current odds to be relegated (Bet 365):

Watford 8/11

Norwich 11/10

Bournemouth 6/5

Sunderland 2/1

Villa 11/4

City 11/4

Unless I'm wrong, that makes us fifth favourites to be relegated. Not favourites.

We hit the ground running at the start of last season, sort of continued with the spirit in which we finished the promotion season.

If we hadn't have had the managerial change, we could have continued with that same mentality at the beginning of this season but with the new manager, we've had to take a step back to go forward again. This will possibly mean we've lost our stride making this season probably tougher than last season.

So I'll miss us being the team that never got a thrashing from last year. I can't imagine Ranieri can maintain the same spirit we had overnight. I'm expecting one or two pastings along the way.

Disagree - the players haven't lost since Chelsea. Avoiding defeat today (not vital but would be nice) means their mental state is one where we don't lose. The manager isn't relevant. The shape and personnel virtually the same.

and I would take the odd pasting to avoid the stress of the last campaign. A relaxing season would be just perfect so we can enjoy the games.

I can see your point, but I could argue that pretty much the same players that put together that run were, on the whole, the same players that went so long without a win. I don't think it's just about personnel, it's more psychological than that.

Any managerial change in any club would have an effect on the way the team plays, whether it's a team trying to improve bad form or maintain great form.

I agree about taking a pasting now and again, I felt sometimes we were too cautious trying to limit damage last season. At the beginning, we played without fear and took the game to the opponents but as the season went on, we became more cautious at times.

You must be mental if you would prefer to take a pasting over a 1-0 loss or 2-1 loss.

Being competitive in every game is a source of pride. Getting outclassed 4-0 does nothing for confidence.

that wasnt the point. taking the odd pasting but being comfortable all season v being competitive every game but being bottom for months on end was the choice.

If we do sign Aranguiz, Inler and Kante (and possibly others) it's inevitable that the "big-spending Leicester" tag will return.

Now that is something I haven't missed.

The buzz of being back after so long away from the top flight.

Being underestimated and somewhat of an unknown quantity.

The worry that other teams will underestimate the newly promoted teams thus giving them easy points.
