EnglishOxide Posted 7 August 2015 Posted 7 August 2015 I know all the optimism had drained out of us after the sacking, but ever since Ranieri was confirmed my optimism has slowly crept back up. The excitement is not at the levels it was, but I've got to say after finally securing Kante our squad is stronger now than it was at the end of the season. With that in mind I'm feeling positive and thank **** we will get to see some football again. The jury is out on Ranieri but I do think he is more likely to do well for us than bad. I just really hope we get some good performances and/or results early on otherwise things could turn sour for us and for him!
Unabomber Posted 7 August 2015 Posted 7 August 2015 This is the least excited I have ever been for the start of a season. I'm sure that will change on Saturday though.
Frank to be Posted 7 August 2015 Posted 7 August 2015 As a Leicester fan it's the beginning of what has the potential to be the most exciting era in our history. So naturally as a supporter of the football club I'm quite excited.
Raj Posted 7 August 2015 Posted 7 August 2015 This is the least excited I have ever been for the start of a season. I'm sure that will change on Saturday though.I felt like that...until this morning and realising we've got another rollercoaster season starting tomorrow!!.

Fox92 Posted 7 August 2015 Posted 7 August 2015 Very excited as always. It's the first game of the season, only comes around once a year.
SecretPro Posted 7 August 2015 Posted 7 August 2015 Been waiting for this all summer...it's been an arduous wait. COYB

Guest Papasmurf Posted 7 August 2015 Posted 7 August 2015 As a Leicester fan it's the beginning of what has the potential to be the most exciting era in our history. So naturally as a supporter of the football club I'm quite excited. Couldn't put it better myself. Can't wait.
Guest Col city fan Posted 7 August 2015 Posted 7 August 2015 Can't wait...it's been a long summer, weather has been crap too. I'm looking forward to the crisp autumnal Saturday afternoons at the KP followed by beers in town and MOTD.
Livid Posted 7 August 2015 Posted 7 August 2015 The closer we're getting the more excited i've become. I can't wait now. Yes there are some unknowns that cause me a to be a little apprehensive. Will Pearson's players perform as well for Ranieri?, Who will he pick?, What formation will he play?, Are the new signings going to bed in?, Will it all work out? Whatever happens they are still my club, behind them 100%!
Bramhall Fox Posted 7 August 2015 Posted 7 August 2015 Can't wait now. Although it's been nice to have a few weeks off from the stress and pressure of the last 2 months of last season - don't think my ticker could have taken that carrying on for too much longer, so has appreciated the break!
Julian Joachim Jr Shabadoo Posted 7 August 2015 Posted 7 August 2015 Absolutely buzzing for tomorrow now, just as excited as I was this time last year. See what our new signings have to offer!
Lestoh Posted 7 August 2015 Posted 7 August 2015 Not sure why but I feel ridiculously 'meh' about this season. Must've been thr hype of being Premier League again this time last year that stopped me from realising sooner, but I miss the bloody Championship.
Guest MattP Posted 7 August 2015 Posted 7 August 2015 A bit 'meh' myself about it. Hopefully will change over the next few weeks month though.
TheSomersetFox Posted 7 August 2015 Posted 7 August 2015 but I miss the bloody Championship.Christ lolyou must be proper jealous of all those Burnley and Forest fans right now Also feeling far better about the season than i thought i would post-Nigel. Excited about the UFS tifo tomorrow, as well as seeing if we can replicate anything near to the atmospheres we created at the back end of last season. Also looking forward to see what the players can do tomorrow, feels like the feel-good factor around the club is back for me. Very excited.
foxfanazer Posted 7 August 2015 Posted 7 August 2015 In the sense that we just don't know what we will be like. Yes. CR has so far made all the right noises so let's hope we continue our high intensity football. Sunderland is a good opportunity to make a positive start
NewburyFox Posted 7 August 2015 Posted 7 August 2015 Christ lol you must be proper jealous of all those Burnley and Forest fans right now The only things I miss about the Championship are the (on average) cheaper ticket prices and the eight extra games. It was great to have so many Tuesday games.
Renart Posted 7 August 2015 Posted 7 August 2015 Not sure if posted elsewhere but an interesting read http://lcfcstatto.tumblr.com/post/126005688933/why-ranieri-is-the-right-man-for-the-lcfc-job Great read!
ramboacdc Posted 7 August 2015 Posted 7 August 2015 why are we being tipped for the drop? this isn't just because we lost cambiasso is it?
Hungry Hungry Fox Posted 7 August 2015 Posted 7 August 2015 why are we being tipped for the drop? this isn't just because we lost cambiasso is it? We were tipped for the drop last season, before we even had cambiasso
Alf Bentley Posted 7 August 2015 Posted 7 August 2015 I feel very interested, somewhat apprehensive, rather deflated....but hoping to be re-inflated by on-field performances. It's going to be interesting, whatever happens. But I'm concerned that we may be about to lose the team/squad/commitment ethic that has been so important to our rise. Watching us struggle with a load of half-hearted foreign mercenaries would be extremely depressing..... But hopefully that won't happen! Exceptionally important that we get off to a good start, I think. I don't mean just notching 1 or 2 wins early on, but playing some decent football and showing a high level of commitment on the pitch. If not, the atmosphere could quickly get very flat - or very ugly, for fans, players and Ranieri alike. Fingers crossed for a good start, for everyone's sake.
Webbo Posted 7 August 2015 Posted 7 August 2015 I'd probably be more excited if it wasn't Sunderland coming up. It has boring 0-0 draw written all over it. I'm sure as the season progresses the excitement will build.
Bellend Sebastian Posted 7 August 2015 Posted 7 August 2015 I'm more excited than I thought I'd be. I think that's just because things have changed a bit. I'd have been interested to see if we could have maintained the momentum from the end of last season under the Pearson regime, but now that's changed it's difficult to know who takes the credit if we get off to a good start, not that that matters massively, of course. I agree with Webbo, I reckon it's going to be a 0-0, mainly because I'm going to the game and if last season was anything to go by, I now have an uncanny knack of missing the good games and only going to the shit ones
